I would say no because Amazon Hr dosent work with your school schedule i had to threaten with OSHA and labor boards to get my school schedule hr dosent give a shit about your college or education

I was an area manager at Amazon for about 2 years and out of the 56 managers that launched the building with me, over half left before I did. I think the reason is that for college hires, you have other options and when that MET hits and you’re working 5 or 6 12 hour days, and you look at your college friends with office jobs working 40 hours and making the same or better money than you, you have the option to find something better. I feel bad for the internals who cannot leave and find a better job because they don’t have a degree so they’re just stuck there.

I'm thinking about quitting too man. I work at FTW6 in Coppell, TX in pack, but they also have me doing rebin. I was on LOA for a while to get accommodated so I wouldn't have to do it. My "accommodation" was in stowing for like 10 days. I cannot physically do rebin, I'm 6 foot 6 and that hurts my back and knees. Packing has been tiring as well as of lately. So is the pay with DoorDash pretty good? Do you deliver orders?

I totally agree with the pick ranking I’m currently picking and it’s like super tiring considering my health condition I always try my best but yeah but they currently have me in pack and tote run (have to put the stacks of toes in the arsaws) and currently at the Amazon I’m working at us tote runners have to run the whole floor and there is hella fast pickers so we have to pick up the pace hence pushing those heavy tote tanks

Okay so I have a question it might be dumb.. but I'm just trying to understand anytime pay.. okay.. let's just say If I work Sunday though Thursday.. and I want Need to pay my bills... when can I take out anytime pay .. will it be during the week while I'm working and after my hours go in Saturday.. like I work Sunday thru Wednesday.. I can get anytime pay during the week I work or after time go in on Saturday.. if that makes any sense .. thank in advance 😂😊

For my site I get for PTO every Saturday it is 1.51, for UPT it is .50mins day, and for Vacation it is .47mins every Saturday. The only thing i dont like about Amazon is that they dont give enough time off and that they don't have ac in the building.

I work at Amazon at MEM1 and we get to have ours phones, we just can't have them on the floor. If we have to make a call we have to go to a desk at the end of the lines we work on. And they have banned earbuds in the building.

(I apologies for the lengthy explination. But I figured id wanna do a break down of my own thoughts when I hear people talk about a VTO blacklist) Id like to think that the only people blacklisted from VTO are people currently working indirect roles, or people holding a position of some sort (safety, ambassadors. PA's, AM's) The whole intention of VTO is amazons way of saving money by granting its workers voluntary time off when the productivity goals are met early. Alternatively, this was to reduce the need to letting warehouse workers go due to overstaffing issues.. (Now how VTO is offered can vary by site as some sites have a "first come first serve approach" and other sites offer the VTO starting with people working in certain roles.) Getting to the point, im not gonna go as far as to say a "black list" doesnt exist. But I will add. How does it benefit Amazon to send its workers VTO oppertunities, then turn around and black list employees for taking to many VTO opportunities (essentially saving the company money) Hypothetical situation: Lets say VTO is offered to release 50/100 workers. Now on left side you have people who reutinely take VTO and the right side you have people who never take it. Now lets say a majority of those 50 people get blacklisted from VTO because they take it too much. Now when the next round of VTO is offered due to overstaffing conflicting with the productivity goal the amount of people who able to take the offered VTO is greatly reduced to the people who rarely take it if at all? Now you are left with an overstaffed warehouse that cant release a majority of its staff because the majority of those who were taking it are all on a blacklist for taking time offered to them by the company. So I dont see where Amazon seeks to benefit from blacklisting people for overtaking VTO.

I started in stow and I didn't like it that much. It's not the hardest job, but there are lots of inconveniences. For example, pallets full of gigantic items like dog food and other workers stealing the good boxes from your pallet to increase their rate. Personally, I found pick to be more relaxed since you're not stressed about trying to fit items into pods.

I got 2 written warnings in a single coaching sit down from Whole Foods Market…they were also my first 2 in the entire year that I’d been working for them…such a set up.

i heard you can only get 75% of the paycheck and i checked the anytime thing and my paycheck said around $550 but, i got paided $699 so i was wondering if you can only take 75% out, does the rest go to you on the day you’re supposed to get paid? i hope that made sense i’m just confused

my freaking leg is killing me from working as a pick. At my facility we have pods and sometimes the STOWERS put the biggest things at the top , so I’m climbing up the steps 24/7 and they put the biggest things at the bottom too so I’m bending at my knees a lot.. ( plus I’m 5’2 ) and my leg has just been killing me I work 3 days and off 4. My leg don’t be any better. I think I should see a doctor before it gets worse. That’s my only problem and maybe my shoes, but other than that I like picking. At the end of the hours from my 12 shift I gets kind of tiring. ; the pain is behind my knee going vertically
