    Hi Autumn! I’ve had to switch from regular half-and-half to lactose-free half-and-half. Does lactose free half-and-half break a fast? Thank you so much!

    In Australia we are in Spring. We have different foods in season. Can I still join and be successful in using meal plans?
    As a 49 yr old woman transitioning into menopause will this help or hinder my hormones?

    Hi Autumn -- as a post-menopausal woman, I have tried IF and for my body, it wasn't a good fit. Is it possible to do this challenge in order to get the inspiration, information and support for eating well and the working out inspiration and motivation?

      Hi I just wanted to share a few things with you that may help. 1 if you feel like absolute crap or crappy in general you are probably missing something crucial. I thought it wasn't for me at first too but there's like 3 key things that will make a HUGE difference. Electrolytes for one. While intermittent fasting(outside of your eating window you need more electrolytes than you may think personally a magnesium and a potassium supplement have been helping especially for longer fasts in addition to salt water. I know that sound gross or insane but just a touch of Himalayan pink salt when I start to feel icky can make it go completely away and ny body responded immediately (it tasted good the first time and still since) so that very well may be something that's been an issue for you as it is for A LOT of people (missing electrolytes) 2 as you are post menopausal (during your eating window) you may actually need to eat a bit more protein than you think to maintain muscle mass I would suggest watching the (Autumn Bates video on how to calculate the protein you need) and 3 during your eating window eat more nutrient-dense foods (she also has a video on this 11 most nutrient dense foods). This is what made IF go from absolutely awful to me to being absolutely amazing it really makes a difference. That all being said I truly believe that yes as she's a certified nutritionist with a degree in it this challenge could definitely help you accomplish your goals in maintaining motivation, eating better and getting support. (Ps I forgot to mention also that yes exercise is important as well) this may sound silly but the way that she has helped me the most is helping me to understand how to listen to my body better to actually give it what it truly needs.
