I got a question which i can't really find an answer for. After the Horus Heresy the Realm of Ultramar was reduced from 500 worlds to just around 13 star systems. The rest were given away to successor chapters or independent administration. Does "independent administration" mean that they lost all ties to Ultramar and became normal imperial worlds, with all the downsides of that? Or could they keep doing things the Ultramar-style? I try to build an own star systems with lore and everything and i want it to make sence within the wider story. Thanks in advance.
Pretty much most worlds that were formerly of Ultramar and were given over to the Ultramarines successor chapter kept being "Ultramar-style". That's because many Ultramarine successors were pretty much copies of the Ultramarines themselves and did things the same way. This extended to how they governed the worlds they were responsible for.
@@GrimDarkNarrator Thank you for your answer. What i want to do is, having the planet eventually become a homeworld for a new Primaris Space Marines Chapter after the Plague Wars. Where they come in, safe the day and be rewarded with the planet thier homeworld. So prior to that, it was not a Adeptus Astartes Homeworld. After the Heresy only 100.000 Ultramarines were left, which is not enough to make a full chapter for every former Ultramar world, correct? I was looking for a similar world as a breakpoint, first part of Ultramar, then not, but i could not find any. If its a normal imperial world, i figure out some problems with the imperial tithe, uprisings and stuff like that.
Most of them were focused on just conquering stuff and moving on. They knew that the Imperium would move in and incorporate the planet into their government. Either that or they didn't care, since their job was done.

I wish more people knew that the Ultramarines were named after Ultramar, which is it's self named after the color ultramarine blue.
Isn’t Ultramar the Portuguese’s overseas Empire from Brazil?
Ultra mar being “beyond the sea” I think.

Roboute Guliman..😬 The Primarch who overstepped his authority with breaking the Legions..Fulgrim took care of Guliman lmao 😂😂
To be fair, Dorn did a good job showing why we maybe shouldn't have those anymore. Cough iron cage cough
He's back though.
