I loved watching Elwood dance
Definitely one of my favorite movies. There was never a dull moment in the whole movie. There were lots of stars, too 😊
The dancing by Dan Akroyd and John Belushi never fails to cheer me up! Love these guys!
omg, Dan is Dancing King! :D
Ehhhhh!
Great footwork, I love to watch them dancing!
Amazing what heroin can do for you. Yes he actually got his big a** over head.
Absolutely 😅😅😅😅
The one thing so many people gloss over is this is one of the greatest musicals of all time.
And they started as Saturday Night Live characters
Pretty sure everyone.... everybody knows...
That is a GREAT point. I would have never have seen it as such but you are right, it is. lol I hate all musicals except this one I guess.
@@wanderingthemiddleground5283 😂 That’s what they all say until they see the next one, and the next one.
One of the best films ever and this bit thrills me after dozens of viewing. Sad so many of the stars are gone now. 😢
@@gregelliott5016😊
Akroyd & Belushi were a magical power duo, the band had an all-star lineup, and the supporting cast was made up of legends. This was one of the most badass movies ever made.
Eh oui c'est vrai que je n'ai rien compris à ce 3r de ma vie mais j'aie 2 l'impression que je ne suis plus la personne que j'ai pu avoir
It all started when they came up with a way to entertain the live audience before the show started.
Outstanding indeed!! And brilliantly entertaining!! 👌😊
It was lighting in a bottle and the sequel was a terrible POS and I hope no one ever has the idea to reboot it.
Belushi influence s me much
John Belushi was a AMAZING ENTERTAINER..
BIG FAN SINCE 1978
this movie was a love letter to the blues and the legendary performers who came together to make this a reality.
This movie's musical numbers will never be equaled. The sheer number of incredible talents in this movie is insane!!
I don't think it will ever be matched.
There is nobody alive today, that can match this movie's talent for acting singing dancing etc
Cel mai bun musical ever !
@@anthonyreed3682
yes man.. why dont they make these anymore :(
@@Highskill3r a-
I loved this film when I first saw it back in the 80's. What really amazed me later is the cast of MASSIVE musicians they managed to get on the film!!! Stunning!!!
Can you just imagine the off-screen jam sessions !
This movie was massively responsible for bringing the Blues back to popularity.
Must have been a blast making it
I'm from Europe. I didn't know until recently there were many famous musicians cast in the movie. It makes it even more impressive. I also remember playing the game on C64.
I keep thinking: "they were just kids! Imagine getting to meet such musical legends so very young!" I can imagine Dan Akroyd looks back on this and just cant believe how lucky he was. ❤
"And remember people: No matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same. You, me, them...everybody, everybody!"
This statement needs to be broadcast today everywhere.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes...♾️
Everybody needs somebody, everybody needs somebody.
but of course m8 ;)
Fiancee turned stalker. Hilarious 😆
National Treasure of a film. Belushi at his best, Aykroyd could do no wrong.
Danny Aykroyd, he got him some Great moves!!
Dan’s a hoot. Always enjoyed him and sorry to see that he has pretty much disappeared from the movie comedy scene😢
Dan Aykroyd, continues to manage the House of Blues chain of music venues, which he cofounded, and the Crystal Head Vodka brand he created. Quoted from Dan Aykroyd: "Remember: The blues never dies. It will never run out of road. That road goes on forever."
@@chevychevelle7216 Dont care about his sideline jobs/interests. Want to see him in comedies!
@@kimmorrison9169 Hey, let hin have his own life!
Would give anything to've been in that crowd. Bet everybody there thinks it was lifetime moment.
Dan Akroyd, Underrated Entertainer gifted beyond belief!
One of my all-time favourites. You can watch any part, or all of it and be entertained. Out of the magic mind of the genius Dan Aykroyd.
And even more the mind of even greater genius John Belushi.
@@palmarolavlklingholm9684 Belushi was an amazing talent, but Aykroyd wrote the backstory over a summer hiatus. He then got together with John Landis and then wrote the script.
@@gwine9087 Thanks for the info. I always thought the movie were the brainchild of Belushi. And Akroyd HAS an AMAZING talent.
The sheer amount of talent on that stage is ridiculous...
Ridiculous indeed!
The colonel, Donald Duck Dunn, is that the Memphis brass?
Does a good buggering too.

The joy, the energy and the groove of Dan is one of a kind, such a multi talented person.
I remember seeing the Blues Brothers on SNL and thinking they were awesome... And then when I heard they were coming out with a movie, I couldn't wait to see it. The driving through the mall scene was so hilarious. Great characters, great movie.
Oh my god it never gets old, the blues Brothers forever
I remember randomly coming across this movie while scrolling through TV channels one day, and boy was I not prepared to immediately fall in love with this film, LOL! This scene is my favorite. I get goosebumps every time when the crowd starts singing, "You, you, you!" during "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love."
this movie is already longer than most comedy films i’ve seen, but everytime i remember it was originally going to be longer, it blows my mind. aykroyd was and still is a creative comedic force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to his scripts
Did you see him in Tommy Boy with Chris Farley and David Spade?
@@gregelliott5016 yes i did
Very, very underrated film.
Oiga yes
"MY Sweet Home, Chicago" still played at every sports venue in Chicago to this day! Sends chills down the spine of every Chicagoan!
I grew up in Elmhurst, one of Chicago’s western suburbs, and have lived 7 different states since I left Illinois. But Sweet Home Chicago reminds me I’m one of a select group of Americans, those of us who are from Chi-Town!
Only Chicago can inspire a song like that. I hope Taste of Chicago and Blues Festival are still happen’ From Ann Arbor but my inspiration is 265 miles west! Lou Malnatti forever!
Probably the only thing left that makes you feel like Chicago is still the best!
@@martaacosta4415 Cellozi Ettleson Chevrolet on York and Roosevelt, my girlfriend lives in an apartment in Hinsdale where Nick Cellozi is her neighbor! Dealership was ages ago, you may be too young to remember.
@@Grandtrunk Never a fan of Lou Malnati, I think it was and is over rated, I prefer Home Run Inn, from the South Side.
My four Chicago granddaughters have never seen the Blues Brothers--terrible lapse in their educations, but I intend to make it right.
one of the greatest movies ever filmed.
This is my fall back place to visit when the world appears too Crazy to stay in. Alas the world is getting crazier than this movie. Still the best musical ever made. Time for my meds..........................
This hands down was one of the best movies made, never a dull moment.
If they ever re-did these movies, the actors and singers that would be in it wouldn't be as good
Great fun. Always ! Happy NY to all of you beautiful people. Love you guys Dan&Belushi. Thank you
I grew up watching this movie, this is an all time classic.
It is bloody hilarious.
Blues Brothers still stands out.
Amazing production and superb music.
Great movie and has great talents, RIP for whom we lost. It is one classical movie that a person never gets bored of watching. I love to watch it from time to time. Movies these days are not as good as these.
Met John at the height of his popularity in Hollywood was his girl for an HR!!!!!! So much fun,he was soooooo funny n a gentleman such a. Memory never forget u!!!!!¡
Many many years ago I had the pleasure of seeing The Blues Brothers at Merriweather Post Pavillion, Columbia MD. I had the most entertaining event in my life and when John Belushi did the cartwheel, I never laughed and smiled so gard in my life.
good ole Dan n John are loaded with dance talent ! = A+
Kudos to the band, dan's powerful harmonica and ofcourse belushi's energetic singing.
Everyone of us is somehow identified with these boys.
I just love this film, I'm one of this kind.
One of the best films ever - all star cast. timeless classic tunes. Oh and forgot to add that this was the late John Belushi finest ever and such a laugh film that i must have now seen over 45 times - it is that bloody funny
Remember when I was living in Chicago and actually seen them flim the scene by the El train stop at 47th Street. I was on my way to work.
Cold as ice bro'
Uno dei film più belli del mondo, l'ho visto almeno 100 volte, ho distrutto il vhs e il dvd
Love the Blues Brothers
I LOVE THIS MAN
Love the footwork! All the good musical talent is just joy to hear!
Belushi was a gymnast at Illinoi. The band was Booker T and the MG's band..Cropper, Duck Dunn, Blue Lou..all legendary.
When I first saw the Blues Brothers I thought I would die laughing. Love musical parody and they were the best. Jake and Elwood. And their band was great.
Their band was made up of real pros not actor hacks. Steve the “Colonel” Cropper was a Muscle Scholes player too boot.
2 fried chickens and a coke
parody ?? This was based on factual incidents !!!
@@TheKlokan44 Four WHOLE fried chickens & a Coke, & two pieces of PLAIN dry toast... 🍞
What started out as a cold open skit on SNL turned into a great , rocking blues band
As someone born and raised in Chicago,I must tell you that it was required viewing to watch the Blues Brothers movie.Belushi and Akroyd-talents beyond compare.
Me and my dad have a very difficult relationship, but I have a few good memories. One is of dancing to this as a 4 or 5 year old in Disney world when "The Blues Brothers" randomly drove up and started performing. I've got a video of it. My father LOVED The Blues Brothers, so it was really important to him. I didn't know them at that age. It was special to me because of that moment with my dad
i love this movie lol
Loved, loved, loved John but Dan Acroyd was a flipping genius in this movie, especially this segment!!
It's John not Jim.
Thanks. Just got excited watching again!☺️
Standing ovation obviusly for Dan Akroyd & John Belushi !
Pure JOY, HAPPINESS and in AWE of the talent of everyone performing...........!!!!!!!!!! ACTUALLY, ABSOLUTELY PERFECT MUSIC. Thank you, all of you who are still here and those who can only be honored posthumously.
Assolutamente vero Alex
Donald Duck's bass strap turns red in close-up shots of Jake and Elwood
My group used to ride up to the Rock Store one a month those two would be there entertaining us. They are that good without a band. What fun we had.
This movie has everything. Great musical performances, amazing car chases from the era before CGI, and of coarse. Carrie Fisher with a rocket launcher! 🤣🤣
And she also had some remote explosives, a flame thrower and the classic M16. 😉
Everybody forgets John Belushi is the only person to have a number one TV show a number one record album and a number one movie all at the same time. Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi together are like no other comedy team in the history of the world one feeds off the other together simply Magic
Dan Aykroyd was writing Ghostbusters the day John Belushi passed, Belushi was supposed to be in Ghostbusters.
There is nothing like this performance just love it 🥰
It´s a goddamn shame that The Blues Brothers don´t live today!
Blasphemy is terrible
Il film che a fatto la storia del blues Brothers premio Oscar ciao
Dan and John are legends in our time. Thanks for all the laughs
I love how the audience slowly realizes ohhh shiii this slaps! yeaaaa!
This original movie came out in 1982. This is classic. John Belushi & Dan Ackeroid ! This was just before John OD or just after. I was 22 in 1982. Never gets old and I’m 64 now and listening with AirPods in my ears. The best ever !
So Beautiful song and dance God bless you all pozz svima ot sefer i marija francija 🥰
They could never make another movie like this again
One of the few R-rated movies that can be viewed with a PG audience. So much fun to watch!
I always liked the Wrigley Field bit
All one/two weeks in the movie.. from 1983 - 1987, and after this time...BlueRay and befor DVD...Simply CULT!!...until today....
I wish they still made great funny movies like this....
Why am I dancing with my legs going side to side like them at 2:50 singing I need you you you I need you you you over and over again
My dad introduced me to this magical side of music when I was very small and I still today(getting close to 40 years of "young") love this more than anything else! :D
Without a doubt, one of the greatest movies ever made.
I hope I’m not the only person that can’t stop singing every tune in this epic film? Anyone else do the same? And if yes what’s your favourite song?
John belushi will be sadly missed by millions of blues brothers fans who are always there to support him
I agree. We lost a brilliant talent way to early.
@@papacoach2074 yeah
While I love them both so much, watching Dan dance just sends me. The energy is insane!
best film, great blues, brilliant musicians and comedy all rolled into one, what more can you ask for
i was about 6 yold when i first was introduced to the blue`s brothers by my late Dad we sat and watched this film my mouth was open all the way threw i lafed i cryed with hillerious tears and moved with the music 37 years later i still feel it i preformed this when i was 15 at my local school end of 5th year disco bk in the day now known as prom. me and a few close friends . it will always remain with me in the hardest times and make me laf cry and boogy.
Dan's got better moves than Michael Jackson!
I was 12 when my dad took me to the dollar theater in Cheshire CT to see this movie. The Blues Brothers, The Cheshire Cinema, my dad...what a trifecta.
God, I hope Chicago appreciates the legacy of these legends. 😁😁😁
WOW, those G🎈🎈uys sure had some great energy.....and the Aundience, tooooo🌞🌞
One of the best films ever
RIP John
J'aime beaucoup votre chanson les blues brothers

The legent to the blues brothers.. Rip in peace..
such an awesome film over 40 yrs. later it still rocks, miss John Candy and John Belushi, wonder what Belushi could have done had he lived longer
I'll be always in love with John Belushi.
Love these guys, great film. it's such a shame John died so young,
I never get tired of this! LEGENDS!
Such talent this movie had.

WHEN THEY MADE THIS MOVIE THEY DIDN'T LEAVE ANYTHING OUT. I ENJOYED IT WHEN I FIRST SAW IT ,ÀND I STILL WATCH IT AND ENJOY IT OVER AND AGAIN. FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END.
actually if i remember right the movie has a ton of lost footage like half an hour.
Incredibly cool, phenomenal actor and dancer, platinum record collector with the BB, writer of comedy classics, Carrie Fischer's boyfriend and ghostbuster too.
In those days Dan Aykroyd didn't miss anything....-)
JOHN BELUSHI .... So young to die "WE MISS YOU JAKE BLUE", a great fan from France
saw the movie 100 times! never to hold! Pure Magic! Love you Aretha Franklin
The musical talent in this movie is astounding.
This movie was the second film I saw as a child the first was Star Wars I actually had my uncle take me to see it 2 more times after the first time in one week I’ve been an entertainer ever since what an inspirational experience it actually shaped my existence
Two comedy genius.
The greatest musical bar none
One of the greatest movies ever!
One of the best blues band ever formed. Often times out performing the original artists. To think this started as an SNL skit. Who would have thunk then they’d turn out to be so good. 👍🏼
*The Greatest Movie Ever 😂

This is the greatest Movie ever!!!
Bar none. Honestly, think of how crazy the premise is but how *masterfully* they perform and make it absolutely brilliant.
Classic, they were beyond great! 💯♥️
Pure brilliance............... !
Das ist und bleibt das Original ❤
I’m sure the both of them were exhausted and soaking in sweat after that performance!
