I hope you all enjoy them, I’ll enjoy watching the tempting videos.
I’ve recently started putting the index finger of my support hand over the front of the trigger guard, and it’s really helped me regulate the recoil and keep my sights on target.
@@MarvelousMarblej I actually have both, I shoot the 43x better (more accurately,) and due to the grip shape/ergonomics i feel as though they have the same recoil output, but the 43x somehow actually shoots flatter than my gen 4 g19. meaning that it feels to me as though it has less snap although i’m sure it’s not much of a difference, it IS noticeable to me.
I disagree, concealed carrying in FL sucks, when this came out and then hearing about the shield mags, I couldn’t wait to get it, I was lucky enough to grab one. They were really hard to find down here. Love this gun and don’t think I would carry another.
How were they a yawn? There's many of us who do quite well with iron sights (ACTUAL iron sights, not Glock's garbage plastic dovetail protectors), and don't have a want or need for red dots.
@@jimfort1766 So they say. I ordered one with my mags, so I changed it right away. It's not a spendy part and it's a LOT easier to find than the mags themselves, so you might as well just to be safe.
I FINALLY!! Picked up my 43x MOS yesterday 3 years after watching this video. The funny thing about this is that I purchased 3 Shield Arms 15 round magazines and have had them since they debuted, but no 43x MOS. Thanks Sootch! Once again you’re in my wallet. 😂🤣
Grab some Ghost Edge Connectors. Ever so slightly lightens the pull but what it really does is take out the extra force needed to pull the trigger. So it's one continuous pressure. Doesn't affect reliability
Shield Arms does recommend this when you order their mags, but you totally should get the upgraded mag release. It does hold the s15 better than the stock release. As in, you can actually see it wrap around the inside of the mag catch on the mag better. Also, some people say that during recoil (you know, when your trigger finger should be finding the wall) the stock plastic mag release can take a bit of wear. The Shield Arms part is metal. You can still use the stock mags with it, yes.
The plastic mag release wore out with my shield arms mag in a few weeks. Started to drop my magazine after every round fired.. ordered the shield arms steel mag release and problem was solved.
“I have double checked and double checked to make sure these things are unloaded”. How quickly one forgets the RAMI video. Keep checking those guns Sootch!
Hopefully they'll mount as well together as the optic in this video. Sootch's optic doesn't need an adapter plate and he can use the sights that come on the gun, not having to buy obtrusive extra-tall sights. I would like the RMRcc to work well, because I trust Trijicon. It's so expensive that it would be really nice if it works well with the 43X MOS out of the box, with no pressing reason to buy a special slide or additional sights.

@@Paelorian , it gives you the opportunity to spend $20 on two appropriate-length screws from Trijicon -- as they do with their optics for larger Glock MOS pistols, which also require and adapter plate.
glock 43x/48 mos both have proprietary optics cut and rails big fail the mos cut does not fit with a holosun 407k/507k which are the clear cut superior compact carry optic. nor does it fit the rmrcc without spending more on adapters for both, the rmrcc is trash anyways, insanely overpriced and no innovation in regards to size, reticles or battery location
Bought this a few months ago and love it. Fun to shoot and ultra reliable. Only dislike is that I’m having trouble concealing it without printing really bad. So I went out and bought the standard P365 for concealed carry and kept the 43X MOS with Shield Arm mags for the zombie apocalypse. 😂
I also bought a pure tungsten guide rod (not the lighter tungsten rod… be careful not to get them confused) and am considering the “optic” night sights from night fision, for my EDC.
My wife just picked up a 43x MOS that she plans to use for home defense and eventually carry. I plan on adding a red dot ASAP! I have loved my G19 for the longest time too however after handling the 43x mos I'm super in LOVE with it and would consider selling my G19 for a 2nd 43xmos just for the fact that we could carry together and share magazine if needed. I have my CCW permit 1st though so I'll at least get to rock the 43x for a little until she gets hers.
I’m in Rhode Island we’re limited to 10 rounds any weapon anything else is basically felonious. The 43x MOS is perfect for both my smaller stature and the 10 round cap. I get enough capacity with the size that fits me best. Love the 43x
Love my G43X. Can't justify the upgrade to MOS at this point. However, for full disclosure, I do get bit by the magazine when firing though. Otherwise it's simple to clean, easy to conceal and goes "bang" when I pull the trigger. I'm good.
Got the 48 MOS and same riton sight Monday, was looking at the shield and trijicon but so far I’m super happy with the riton. Sits perfectly and shoots great. Thanks for the video.
@@RidinChevySolo Just buy the slide when they are available. i bought an MOS Glock Slide for my Gen 5 17. You can also check out ZEV, they might have a 43X MOS slide.
I’ve put extensive rounds through all 5 of the shield arms mags that I’ve had & had failures with each one. Also, they have too much spring tension & put too much pressure on the bottom of the slide of the gun and slow the slide velocity. If you are using it as a defensive weapon, stick with factory parts. Some people claim to have no problems, but I’d like to know their round count. They simply don’t work in my gun. The factory mags run like a sewing machine.
Own a 43X MOS, only cause a 43X wasn't available. Still bone stock with a couple hundred rounds thru it. I'm old school, just give me simple sights and I will work with it. Carry OWB at 3:00. 10 rounds is good. Simple shirt worn and you don't know its there. I like simple and working, 43X does it.
I’m currently testing a 43X MOS with a Swampfox Sentinel optic. So far it’s been a sweet set up. One thing to note is that because of the rail, the 43X MOS does not fit into any of the four IWB holsters that I own for the regular G43x. Just a heads-up. Thank you for another informative and well done video.
great video, i just cant see putting an rmr on a deep conceal lightweight edc. In a self-defense shooting a red-dot wont be a game changer and takes an extra second to acquire when you may only have a second to react, but a tlr-6 or light could help.
Most self defense shootings happen within 6 feet so at that point it’s a muscle memory point and shoot type of situation. The RMR at that point or the front sight wouldn’t come into play that close with the situation being rapid.
I’ll keep using glock 19 less recoil same length as the 43x but with 15 rounds OEM mag. A little bit more thickness is no a big deal for conceal I think the grip length is what it matters.
Riton makes great scopes. I didnt know they made a micro red dot. I carry a p365 with a p365xl lower. Just got a hellcat. Don't know much about it yet.
I have a G26 Gen 4 with a sweet 12 round mag extension, sweet upgraded sights and lighter trigger I insanely love that gun, here I’m debating “should I buy this gun ?” I’ll be losing round capacity 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Idk 😢 PD: sorry I did not finish watching the vid 😊 got it.
i changed the trigger assembly as that blade would dig into my figure during recoil. i also purchased the S&W shield plus. much nicer trigger. However the finish on the S&W grip is rough on your skin when IWB carry. I don't wear a T-shirt under my shirt. Great price of $449 with MOS at PSA .
Sootch's reviews are the clearest, sharpest and by far the best quality production so when you want to get a really good look at a firearm l always go t Sootch first. That Glock43x is a beauty, another perfect gun from Glock. And another thing, Mr Sootch is a very funny man. "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" what a film !
We talk about handgun ergonomics all the time & usually cite Walther as a source for this. Put a Glock in your hand, with that unique angle and I’m convinced most will own at least 1 Glock! Thx Don!
Hopefully I will get one of these before they take them away. Change the trigger and sights and it'll be a great carry gun. And with the new magazine's that are out you can carry more in the 43X.
Wowzers! I've been g43 since day one. Sig p365 comes along... I said nope.... Springfield hellcat...nope. But I can not resist the g43x mos with 2 shield mags.. Make one of the shield mags a plus 5 and I'll be good.
Be careful with the optic. I had the same one and thought I had the right amount of thread lock on the screws. After two mags at the range the optic came loose and hit me between the eyes. There is something to say about having safety glasses on or I would have had eye damage. Just an FYI guys.. sounds funny but the safety glasses saved me from eye problems
Great information, well needed because I plan to purchase the glock 43x mos and you provided me with details that I needed and also recommendations on holster. Thank you sir.
Love mine got the trl7 sub, XS night sights, kagerworks ambi slide release, 2 shield arms 15 round mags, aftermarket magwell and getting a apex in it soon I absolutely love it.
When the glass sights get wet, good luck using them. Light rain or fog and they’re worthless when you need them. Iron sight and train with them is foolproof.
I appreciate the review. Nice job, as usual. @sootch00 any word from Glock as to when these will be available ? I can definitely find standard 43x's and 48's around, but no one has seen a 43x/48 MOS in months (other than you :)
States seem to vary greatly on availability. I couldn’t find a 43x or 48 when I was in VA, then drove to Alabama (Birmingham) to visit family where I found them in the first store I walked in. $1400 later after tax and check, I walked out with both. Now I have to settle on red dot.
I carry the 43x daily and I bought a custom optic cut slide for 200$ on eBay. Holosun 407k, It shoots great conceals with my tier one axis slim. My one gripe is , she SNAPPY. I might go for the 48 mos.
Sootch- I came back and watched this a second time and viewed the comments to see if you have any comments on the Riton Red Dot, 3 Tactix MPRD. I bought one, and it does direct mount with no adapter - NICE. It works GREAT, but I had an issue with the screws backing out. Also, it is missing some features such as the unit has to come off to change battery. Riton has an improved “shake awake” version and a new top load battery version. I was hoping you could give us your long-term evaluation and maybe the best red dot for this gun? Several people have asked for your update.

Damn I knew Glock was gonna release a 43X with an attachment rail -_- I've already had my 43X for the longest and it retired my 19 when the shield arms mags came out. I wish mine had the attachment rail tho.. not to crazy about the MOS to be honest
Man I am so tempted to get one of these. I have been carrying a P365 since 2018. It's had some issues and has gone back to Sig for repairs. I have around 4k rounds through it, but I don't 100% trust it due to the issues its had in the past. I also wouldn't mind having a slightly longer grip. I have big hands and the P365 really is a tiny little guy.
I love my 43X and they are quite a deal here in Georgia at Academy Sports. The pistol fits in my cargo shorts pocket with no printing and two full mags in the other pocket. I've owned a lot of guns and only fell in love with two and the 43X is one of them.

I hope you all enjoy them, I’ll enjoy watching the tempting videos.
I’ve recently started putting the index finger of my support hand over the front of the trigger guard, and it’s really helped me regulate the recoil and keep my sights on target.
Hi is this 43x gonna have more snap to it ? In comparison to the G19 ?
@@MarvelousMarblej I actually have both, I shoot the 43x better (more accurately,) and due to the grip shape/ergonomics i feel as though they have the same recoil output, but the 43x somehow actually shoots flatter than my gen 4 g19.
meaning that it feels to me as though it has less snap although i’m sure it’s not much of a difference, it IS noticeable to me.
Thanks
Dammit I live in California.
Nice gun.
Great review as always. Can’t wait to get out of CommieFornia
Tfw when Canada ha less strict gun laws than a US state.
You're in hotel Commiefornia..We can never leave.
Same. Live in California and could only dream or pay an arm/leg on Calguns
I don't get that. This is a gun that is perfectly acceptable for ban states.
No reason to move , the country is going to shit
Waiting for G42 MOS. Yes, the slide is a little narrower, but that is what MOS is for: you always have an adapter plate.
The original 43x and 48 were a giant yawn. Now they got a rail, optic, and shield 15 round mags they are interesting to say the least
Do you need to change the mag release if you use the shield arms mag?
@@jimfort1766 So they say. I ordered one with my mags, so I changed it right away. It's not a spendy part and it's a LOT easier to find than the mags themselves, so you might as well just to be safe.
@@skism007 sounds good thank you for your time.
My favorite Glock to date. Let the haters hate.
Nice to see all the ammo again. One can hope ammo will be more available in 2021 for the shooting community.
It is now in 2022 😄
Facts and the plastic mag release will wear out from steel mag get the metal mag release
The plastic mag release wore out with my shield arms mag in a few weeks. Started to drop my magazine after every round fired.. ordered the shield arms steel mag release and problem was solved.
👍 again. As a seasoned citizen a red dot solves the focal point problem for me. Older eyeballs make seeing front sight a challenge.
“I have double checked and double checked to make sure these things are unloaded”. How quickly one forgets the RAMI video. Keep checking those guns Sootch!
What rami video
He shot a hole in his table. I think he pulled the video.
@@scottperson9487 He really had a negligent discharge!? After so much experience with guns?
I just finished watching a vid from TFB TV about the RMRcc sight. Your two videos could not have been timed better!
Also
Hopefully they'll mount as well together as the optic in this video.
@@Paelorian , it gives you the opportunity to spend $20 on two appropriate-length screws from Trijicon -- as they do with their optics for larger Glock MOS pistols, which also require and adapter plate.
glock 43x/48 mos both have proprietary optics cut and rails
big fail
the mos cut does not fit with a holosun 407k/507k which are the clear cut superior compact carry optic. nor does it fit the rmrcc without spending more on adapters for both, the rmrcc is trash anyways, insanely overpriced and no innovation in regards to size, reticles or battery location
I’ve been carrying a G26 and am now strongly considering G43x MOS with Holosun SCS. Thanks for this video.
The SCS wont work on the G43x mos. Maybe you should check out the Holosun EPS carry. That's my pick.
@@russdennis7026 wow. Thanks. I thought it was compatible. Need to cancel that order!
@@ElCid_86 Yeah the SCS will not work on the slimline glocks. 43x 48. But will work on all the other mos Glocks. G19,G45 etc etc.
Thanks, Sootch.
Awesome review including options for magazines and optics.
Thanks Cal! There are so many choices so it's nice to have options
Great review.
I’m in Rhode Island we’re limited to 10 rounds any weapon anything else is basically felonious. The 43x MOS is perfect for both my smaller stature and the 10 round cap. I get enough capacity with the size that fits me best. Love the 43x
I went 48 mos for the longer slide. Haven’t decided on a dot yet. Shield 15 flush is amazing in that slim design. Gave my 365 XL to my lady
The outtakes at the end was awesome!
The way you open and introduce your videos rock man. keep it up!
How is it holding up?
MOS = Moment Of Silence
"Let's have a Moment Of Silence for the intruder!" ;)
Moment of Silence for those who bought the first version of G43x
@@ninocatacutan2779 try being the guy that bought the 43, then the 43x, awaiting my 43x mos now.. lol
@@RidinChevySolo Just buy the slide when they are available. i bought an MOS Glock Slide for my Gen 5 17. You can also check out ZEV, they might have a 43X MOS slide.
MOS. = Man (my) Optic nerve Sucks! (Old man sights).
Just got one a week ago I love it also have a 19rd mag for it
just picked up my 43x MOS today i’m pretty stoked. excited to run a red dot!
Thank you for the sobering evaluation of the 15 rnd Shield
mags. This am I read a glowing endorsement of them. You have more than balanced the scale.
This will probably be my next edc.
My 43x mos fits into my tulster holster for my g43..
Holy hell! Never expected that from Glock.
great video, i just cant see putting an rmr on a deep conceal lightweight edc.
Sig P365 and Sig P365XL both have Sig OEM 15 round magazines. You didn’t mention it in the video.
But it's a POS sig though...
@@jennamiller3114 you're being childish, Jenna.
That 43 looks great and I had a good laugh with “micro optics sighting system “ bloopers.
Say 'Modular Optic System' three times real fast.........sold me on the Glock G43x MOS with Shield mags
Santa, please deliver me 2.... one in Desert Tan please...... great video!
With PSA Dagger Micro mags I think that is the very best carry option available
I have a G26 Gen 4 with a sweet 12 round mag extension, sweet upgraded sights and lighter trigger I insanely love that gun, here I’m debating “should I buy this gun ?” I’ll be losing round capacity 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Idk 😢
PD: sorry I did not finish watching the vid 😊 got it.
Just bought the 43x MOS (they’re hard to find) and for now I added a crimson trace CTS 1550. It was the only one at my gun store that fit
Nice sootch00! The 43x will be my next Glock. But first I gotta get my G45 to Wheaton Arms for some upgrades. Gonna get Wheatonized!
would be so dope if glocks 57th patent was a chambered in 5.7 28mm
And their 44th model was a .22
The naming convention has completely got to pot.
Great informative video. I was considering getting a regular Glock43x and buying an aftermarket slide but I definitely want to get this!
Don't get the 43xregular get the mos not for slide cut but for rail Mount Reddots aren't important lights are
i changed the trigger assembly as that blade would dig into my figure during recoil. i also purchased the S&W shield plus. much nicer trigger.
Talon grips catch on my shirt. I think the lowered the textured so it doesn’t catch on a shirt when concealed
get the rubber ones works better
Never owned a Glock before. but I can see buying this.
I'm a sig guy and carry a 43X. I like mine
I hate glock but now I love them because of the 43x
We talk about handgun ergonomics all the time & usually cite Walther as a source for this. Put a Glock in your hand, with that unique angle and I’m convinced most will own at least 1 Glock! Thx Don!
Hopefully I will get one of these before they take them away. Change the trigger and sights and it'll be a great carry gun. And with the new magazine's that are out you can carry more in the 43X.
@Frank Bonazza III have a 365 it’s my garage gun for now I rotate periodically. Mostly use my shield.
Things get back to normal I’ll have to get one
Compact & with a kick ni ccce price as well! Merry Xmas & the best of the holidays Scootch00
Great information, well needed because I plan to purchase the glock 43x mos and you provided me with details that I needed and also recommendations on holster. Thank you sir.
Just bought a g45 9mm gen5 w/ mos two days ago. My first Glock. It's great. Came with 3 17 round mags, 4 palm swells.
Love mine got the trl7 sub, XS night sights, kagerworks ambi slide release, 2 shield arms 15 round mags, aftermarket magwell and getting a apex in it soon I absolutely love it.
The G43x really impressed me. It exceeded my expectations. I ❤ it. Perfect Christmas gift.👍👍
For your next video review on the Glock 43X MOS, you should do one with the Palmetto State Armory Micro Dagger 15 round slick magazines.
GREAT video, as always!!! Love my g43x. Excited to try this one now!!
When the glass sights get wet, good luck using them. Light rain or fog and they’re worthless when you need them. Iron sight and train with them is foolproof.
Good review love the blips at the end lol!!!
I’m glad I found “The Glock Store”!
@@erice8502Do you remember what store in birmingham
I carry the 43x daily and I bought a custom optic cut slide for 200$ on eBay. Holosun 407k, It shoots great conceals with my tier one axis slim. My one gripe is , she SNAPPY. I might go for the 48 mos.
I bought the Shield Arms15 round aftermarket magazines for my 43X and MOS 43X. Love them.
Just got my 43X mos and loving it!!! Will be my new EDC. GREAT VIDEO!! How has that red dot holding up and would you recommend the X3?
What holster are you using with this gun? Just got mine tonight.
Love the bloopers.
I love that MOS wish I got one lol I have an all Black G43x 😎 keep up the good work sootch
I’ve had a GSSF coupon burning a hole in my pocket for the last year. Been carrying the 43x for almost 2 years but have been looking at the 43x mos for a while. I think you just pushed me to make the purchase. My old eyes are needing some help even though my current Ameriglo’s help some.
I love my 43X MOS. Great review!
“You dufus,” “calm down, calm down,” haha.
Damn I knew Glock was gonna release a 43X with an attachment rail -_-
I've already had my 43X for the longest and it retired my 19 when the shield arms mags came out.
Always enjoy your videos.
I’ll be getting a 43X MOS
