Your critique Of Glock was well done. The original design is sooo strong. Trying to improve it must be maddening for Glock.
Your point on the 365 was taken and I believe many UA-cam videos lied about the 365 to get views...? Truthfully the 365 has been %100 for every owner. The First Year of 365 must be compared to the first year of Glock. Also you cannot shoot poor quality bullets including aluminium in guns with tight tolerances.
Fair Play? Fair Play... Final word the new Glock 43X and the other one. They look cool and they remind me of a hi-bred cross Kahr/Glock. Still concealable but nicer slides, new silver color, and more capacity.
Mid-size cross breed hand guns is accurate.

I disagree in part, SIG as a company has been around for years, you would have to compare the first Sig models to the first Glock. You would have to compare apples to apples. That means Sig 365 compared to Glock 43 or 43X in their respective years of release.
If your gun can't shoot all ammo at all times you need a different gun.
Adrian Thomas that’s completely wrong. Guns can have completely different roles. You don’t want to run trash tula through a precision rig when shooting for accurate groups.

Great review! I've been carrying a glock 19 for a while. I love the 19, but the single stack 43x is very appealing to me. It's lighter, slimmer, and it will be easier for me personally to conceal. I love the idea of the full hand grip on the single stack! Great review brother!

Just got mine a few days ago, perfect for concealed carry and works like a beaut, honestly can’t say anything bad about this glock, I’ve put an ETS 19 round, and had problems w jamming but came to find out it was just the cheap mag, the gun is amazing I highly recommend
I'll start by saying that I've never been overly drawn to Glocks.
That being said, I quite like both the 43X and the 48.

Here in October 2021, we're on GEN2 of that mag.
And we're on the 2nd mag catch from shield arms.

I have owned a 43 for some time, when the 43X and 48 came out, I pre-ordered the 48. I quickly found myself wanting the 43X. I have switched the the 43X with the S15 mags.
I had and issue with the g43.only 6 rounds? I rather carry a revolver instead but Yesssss I was waiting like crazy for you to review this pistol... HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU BROTHER!!
Great video, I have a 365 with over 1000 rounds with no issues. I will keep my sig with my 12 round mags. That is a nice looking gun.

I was considering getting a gen 4 G 43 as my first gun but i didnt like the lack of mag size and the small grip this is perfect love the silver finish on the slider too awesome review
Great review. I've never been a Glock guy, but I do like the new 43/43X/48 offerings. I picked up a special edition G43 not long after it came out and then later picked up a G48. I really love the concealability of the G43, but love the grip and trigger of the G48. I prefer the trigger and functions of the G48 over the G43. But wait, I already have a G48 and a G43. So, I swapped over the slide and barrel from the G43 onto the frame of my G48. Fits like a glove and functions flawlessly. Created my own G43X!! It doesn't have the fancy beveling on the slide and frame like the G43X. I don't find the extra grip a detriment to concealability. The thin grip really helps hide it. Keep up the videos and reviews!!!
Some hate the thin grip of the 43 and thickness of the 26, maybe a sweet middle spot is what they needed. I’ll definitely be checking these pistols out.
The 43 is too small for my hand, and I just can't seem to get a proper grip on a 26. It's just a tiny bit too fat.
Agreed, i sold every 26/27 ive had due to the thickness. Also never bought a 43 because it felt to thin in my hands. Im liking this middle ground

To my original G43, like you I changed to XS Big Dot sights and Talon rubberized grip.
Did add the Taran Tactical 2rd extension to my daily carry mags for 8 plus 1, (no printing), 3rd extension for my back-up mags for 9 plus 1.
At this time about 3,000 rds, various ammo, no issues, it's a Glock!

Nice review Sootch!! Cant wait to see how it carries at 4oclock position. Kinda wish they thickened the 43 up and kept the frame a lil shorter for concealment. But overall I think this will be a smash hit!! I think this will replace my 26. 43x fall, winter and spring, regular 43 for summer carry!!
Why? Your taking the concealability of the 43 and throwing it out the window if you want the extra rounds you can add a Mag extension and remove it when you want it concealable, it's the grip length that is hard to hide. I don't see the value in it other than another Glock to collect you might as well go with a 19 or maybe the new 48 or another model that has a longer barrel and sight radius with the same length grip...... Just my opinion.
You do realize there are people who live in states where the mag capacity is limited to 10 rounds, right? So why should they carry a G19 with only 10 rounds when they can carry something thinner with the same capacity? Also being flatter it may be a better option for concealed carry when wearing certain clothing like a properly tailored suit.

@@motorcycleguy73 Yeah, I'm in Florida but I try to remember we have Brothers in Arms that are stuck behind enemy lines. But I could see the benefit to the slimmer profile in certain clothing and the longer grip should offer better control. I don't run my G43 without a Pearce +1 extension at minimum just to have better control of the gun.
Not only that they're more options out there from other gun manufacturers that make a handgun that is higher in capacity but just as concealable. So I would just go for the M&P 9c, P365, and crazy enough it's not a high priced handgun but the Taurus G2

Wow, I like that G48!!!! If I'm going to extend the hand grip, my purpose for the gun would also compliment the longer barrel. But for now I'm keeping my G43 because it's an awesome gun and I have a few mag options for more rounds.
A friend of mine just bought one of these. I must say, as a hard core Gen 3 guy, I was impressed. This may be my next Glock purchase.

I think what people don’t understand about Glock is that they are not trying to be anyone else. They simply continue to innovate their own their own design. It’s other companies who are usually trying to be Glocks , not the other way around. Compare all u want . Glock hit the sweet spot with the 43X in my opinion. I absolutely love mine . I can’t believe how light and accurate it is . Blows my mind , allot like the G26 did which I’ve carried now for 4 generations. I’ve been carrying the 43X more and more. It really inspires confidence once u shoot it and realize how fast u can draw this lil thing . Can’t say enough.

Really don’t understand the excitement for this. Yea it’s round count matches the p365 now...... with a substantial amount of length to your grip. Just looking at them stacked on top of each other through this video, that length isn’t just something to brush off. Any of the company’s that make single stack 9s could literally extend the grip and match the 10 rounds but that’s not entirely what made the p365 such an attractive option. The size of the p365 with its round count is what made that gun stand out, simply extending the grip of Glock and saying it’s something new and can compete with the p365 is a joke. Smith and Wesson could do it, Springfield could do it but this will drive the Glock tards crazy.... “errrmahgerd, Glerck is so inventive and ambitious with this new technology they have placed into this gun.” Glock has done nothing in regards to this gun. Contrary to what most people reading this will think, i have no issues with Glock. I’ll agree with the rest of the crowd they are super reliable, i don’t personally enjoy shooting a Glock but they’re a damn good gun, but this is such a piss poor attempt at trying to make something more than it is. I hope other manufacturers aren’t this ignorant and maybe look at some design changes to match the size and round count of the 365. Good review though 🤟🏼
I concur. If you can't get out of a bind with 6+1 4 more rounds is not enough. And the G43 is much more portable.
Agreed. The g45 has been the only one that made sense to me and the gen 5 mos guns are what their basic gen 5 should be. These though? What's the point? Any glock fans now will get or already have mag extensions.
The P365's recall is what stood out to me.

Got my 43x two weeks ago and put 200 rounds through it a few days ago. Wow, what a nice shooting compact. Reliable and accurate, although I'd like to put night sights on it. To me, the sights are the only thing the Sig 365 has over the 43x.

Having big hands, I like the bigger grip on these over the 43. I'm actually more interested in the 48 than the 43x, having the longer barrel/sight radius. Not like this is a pocket carry kind of gun. The grip is the same length on these, so concealability is equal. The Sig p365 is nice but its questionable reliability turns me off. I see a 48 in my future
I love the look of this pistol, love the dual color. The extra grip length shouldn't be a problem. I carry my G42 with a +3 extended mag all the time, and it's still perfectly small and concealable. I've heard nothing but good things about the 43X, especially the trigger. Two Springfield Armory guys were reviewing it, and they were gushing about the great trigger AND the negligible recoil. THIS will probably become my new cc gun. I wanted a 9mm but stayed away because of the snap. I'm very excited about that.

My favorite Glock is my G27. I have a G23 magazine with a Xgrip magazine sleeve. Adding to that I got a Lone Wolf 279N 9mm conversion barrel with a G19 magazine with a Xgrip magazine sleeve. With the original G27 9rd and G26 10rd magazines I have so many variations that can be created depending on the type of carry for that day.
LOVE my G43, planned on buying a second one. I think I will purchase one of these instead. Never heard of this before this video! Thank you!
When compared to the P365, which I believe is exactly what this was meant to go up against, it's a swing and miss. Yeah it has the same 10 round capacity, but it has a longer grip and that's the hard part to conceal. Assuming sig got the new production P365s working then it's a no brainer which to go for.
Totally agree. Hell the P365 with the 12 round mag is shorter than the 43X with 10 ads. Total swing an a miss.
I have a P365 with an October 2018 birthday and it has been perfect.
@Wicked Ridge oh hell I thought at one time I wanted a Glock 43 til I shot one...ended up with the glock 42...but that SIG P365 fits the hand much better, I have not shot one yet though.
I was really hoping glock would produce an "answer" to the p365, which is the only thing that kept me from getting the Sig. What they came up with is a fail in my opinion. Now I'm just waiting on my local gun store to get some of the most recently made p365s.
Agree. Admittedly the first p365s had problems with trigger reset springs and strikers, and I even personally had problems with light primer strikes for the first 100 rounds, probably because I didn't clean it before taking it to the range. Makes me wonder how many people report failures before cleaning. Post cleaning I am 1700 rounds in with zero failures. Just took it apart and all components look fine.

I noticed the 43X. Has the same grip length as the G-19 , with after market support of Shield arms S15 magazines holding the same as the G-19 it said to be a Goldy locks Glock , A GREAT choice in a small slim package .
I dearly love my 43x. She is my beloved EDC.
I'm still trying to figure out how to be accurate with it i think glock shoot different then most guns
@@Patriot-pq1ku It's definitely not you. Took me quite a while to get used to it. It's so dang light and since it's smaller, it takes getting used to. Lots of practice and you should be ok.
I dont see the point of this gun. Glock solved this problem in the mid-90's. Has anyone heard of the G26..........

Derek Williams it’s no thicker than a 19.... and that is a cakewalk to conceal. I’ve gone on 8 hr strenuous hikes with my p320x-carry (sigs version of the 19x) appendix and had no issues concealing, rubbing of anything. I honestly think people are way too picky and are looking for something to complain about. 17+1 and still easy to conceal in shorts (with belt), I do it all the time, no one knows unless I tell them and they still can’t see it. If I lived somewhere that I was limited on capacity I still don’t think I would carry a smaller gun because it’s comfortable and I shoot it well
HickLife interesting! And yes it’s no thicker than the 19 but it feels thicker since the grip is shorter, I’ve felt both side by side and the 26 was the most uncomfortable Glock I’ve ever felt

Just got my hands on a 43X, chose it over the 43 because it fits my hand a lot better. Another big reason is no need to purchase magazine extenders to add additional capacity. Looking forward to getting my holster, mag carrier, and new night sights to make it my go to carry gun.

It really looks like Glock is going after the Shield and the Kahr, instead of Sig.
@Pauly Winkerstinkle I can see that. It's just that this model is bigger than the Sig. If they were able to manage 10 rounds in their standard 43, then I would share that view.

I have a Gen 3 G19 I'll never ever let go of but I really like the mag release redesign on the newer ones.
I will probably be getting this for my wife and me. My wife loves her Glocks. She has a 19 and a 43 and loves and shoots both well. I, on the other hand, am not the biggest Glock fan but have a 43 and love it. I prefer Sigs and have a 365 and various 320s. The 365 has been flawless through 1000 round so far but there is always that thought in the back of my head that I've never had with a Glock. The 43 virtually disappears when concealed but I always felt a little underwhelmed with the capacity. If the 43X has the same concealability as the 43 with more capacity then I think it's a no brainer given the reliability of Glock.

Agree i have the g2 and g2c trigger like a glock and shoots nice have 3000 plus thru mine with not 1 failer so ya was intrested but not so much now just a glock a square glock break down is way way close to the pt111g2 so ya. Nice glock!!!, I own a 2nd gen P365 with over 1k rounds, I have had ZERO issues with mine. Hard to beat the p365 for its size. I pocket carry it everyday 8+ hours a day with no issue.

Since the grip is the same as the G19 why not just carry a G19? 5 more rounds is even better with the G19. Glock needs to understand that the frame grip is what is the hardest to conceal. I’d much prefer a longer barrel with a shorter frame to EDC. IMO the Sig P365 still wins because of the concealability. Plus the newer P365s seem to have the bugs worked out.

People with small hands will love this gun. It will fill a small persons hand like a 19 would fit an average man’s hand. There is actually quite a demand for high capacity pistols in the 1” wide range. I can carry my full size rig concealed pretty easily and I’m not a big guy. But I almost always have a Springfield XDS on me because it’s easier to carry. Having a 1” thick gun with high capacity is going well like hot cakes and for good reason.
@Georgia Bowhunter - The P365 still has plenty of bugs to work out, but by the time Glock realizes it should make a double stacked G43, the P365 will have worked out all the bugs.
carry both the 43 and 19 myself. its night and day. its way more comfortable than the 19. with a plus 2 tt mag the 43 is the same exact height as a 19. 43x adds a extra 2 rounds over the tt mag and has the same length.
Just don’t understand the point of this gun when a g26 holds the same amount of rounds and I can use 15 and 17 33 round mags w it

There goes more of my money, but I'm definitely buying this one. This thing is about the perfect size for a carry gun imo.
Love Glocks and their reliability. I own quite a few of them. But Glock missed the mark on this. For concealabilty, the grip is what your concerned with. My P365 is still GTG. Because I might as well carry my Glock 19 since the grip is the same length as the 43x plus 5 more rounds. I would also carry my old Glock 26 for same round count but very short grip. That's why I bought a Sig P365 because it is as small as the Glock 42 (380acp) but carries 10+1 9mm rounds

Disappointing. The 365 beat the 43 in every aspect except the one that counted; reliability.
All Glock had to do was bring the reliability they are known for into the same sized package and round count as the 365 and they would have won.
Here’s hoping Smith will get it right with the 10 round 365 sized gun. Bonus points if they give it a red dot.
PS- wouldn’t a 365 with a 12 round mag still be smaller with a higher round count than this gun?
Daniel Stewart I think S&W has the best chance of competing with the P365. The Shield was already a 1 1/2 stack, plus they are have a missing sub-compact model spot in the 2.0 line up
Who gives a shit if it literally breaks itself in under 3,000 rounds. Until that gun will run like a shield, XDS or a 43, I don’t even consider it a real gun. That being said I’ve put about 50 rounds through a p365 and I did like it.

@Daniel Stewart - I was thinking the EXACT same thing! Glock can make a double stack capacity G43 just like the P365, except with actual reliability. BUT since Glock is too proud to copy the P365 mag they released a useless G43x. Just like Sig could have easily fixed their P320 drop safe issues with a safety switch like pretty much all polymer striker pistols are doing now, but Sig is too proud to copy a Glock design (Sig copied Steyr instead lol!).
@@SixGun Al - No gun is 100% reliable. It's not about finding a gun that's 100% reliable, it's about finding a gun that has the lowest "failure rate" in all, which in reality the G43 has a much much lower "failure rate" than the P365. Now of course you can get a malfunction on a G43 and none on a P365 if both guns fire 1000 rounds. That doesn't mean that P365 is now more reliable than that G43, or that all P365 are now more reliable than all G43? NOPE. Simply look up in 2018 how many G43 have been sent back to Glock and how many P365 have been sent back to Sig. I guarantee you that the P365 has been sent back far more than G43.
I've tested so many P365 and have had some little issue to big issues with all of them. So far my G43 has hit 22K rounds total and so far no malfunctions. Does that mean my G43 is 100% reliable? No! It just has a much lower and really far less (galaxy distance) likely to fail than a P365, G43 in general have far less failure rate than the P365. Bottom line, I trust the G43, I don't trust the P365, and there's plenty of reported facts to give me good reason not to.
I just bought my new Glock 43x and I love it! Also , rumor has it Glock is coming out with a 12 rd magazine for this model. Finally a great Glock pistol for us big guys with big hands. Glock knocked this one one out of the Park!👍🏻

Augustus Heyliger I carry either a 26 or a 19 every day... no complaints. The 26 gets carried more only because it doesn’t have an x300 on it so it’s a bit more comfortable.
Have to say that Glock missed the point on this one. The only valid argument I heard was the 10 round capacity states.. but even then, you might as well go for the 26. The 6 round standard cap magazine was the deciding factor between the shield and the 43 for me, but the Sig 365 has about rendered both of them obsolete in my mind. As soon as I'm comfortable that they have dealt with the firing pin issue, I will own a 365. The 43x is pretty pointless with such a long grip, and I don't even understand the reason for the 48.

The G48 was invented to be sold in Canada. They have a minimum barrel length of over 4 inches.
Dude... the 43x can be used by people with grown man hands. It’s not that big of a difference from the 365 with handle length... and any Glock whatever Glock they’ll never jam. Glocks are the Toyota of guns you can not go wrong with any of them. The 365 has had so many terrible reviews on reliability, and I just don’t understand the hype behind it... I want my concealed carry gun to go boom every time I pull the trigger
I was a Glock guy carried one on duty for 25 years....now that I'm older and wiser sig is the way to go p320 and no problems with my p365

Glock also offers Glock night sights and the Ameriglo night sights as well, straight from the factory on both the 43X and the 48. I believe these are the first Glock models that night sights are a factory option as opposed to buying night sights separately and being switched out with the polymer sights.
A couple of people have complained that it shoots to the left slightly. I chock that up to shooter error but there are some videos about it. I am a Glockaholic so I have to buy it regardless. Thanks for the video. THIS GUN NOW HAS A BLACK SLIDE AND RAIL!
Great video as always Sootch! But, my opinion is the only pro here is that Glock is providing options to everyone and in states where there's a limited capacity which people seem to forget since it's not "their" perfect glock. However, it's a longer version of the 43 and I'd rather spend $25-50 on a few extensions even though I carry a G19 and S&W 2.0 Compact. With the 48 I think they said "We should make a 43x with a longer slide so we can release 2 new guns" lol. Keep up the great work man!
To be fair. While I like Glocks they have also had issues with new models when first introduced.
I had two bad out of the box verified by the gun dealer. Plus go to a training school someday and watch Glocks fail like other guns. I will stick with my Sigs and HKs thank you.
@JusticeAA My buddy Had a new gen 4 G22 that had failure of recoil spring assembly. Slide was locked up and had to be sent to gunsmith.
JusticeAA Glock 42 comes to mind. They replaced internals and magazines on original run models
I don't get it...people are calling this the shield killer. How is that? The shield can equal the round capacity, it's roughly the same size and half the price! Glock should have been chasing sig instead of S&W.
@Pauly Winkerstinkle g43x max 10 rounds...sig p365 max 12 rounds. Each pistol which ever three you are talking about can reach a 10 or 12 round compacitly so not really an advantage. With that being said, the advantage, you can find the shield at half the cost of either of the other two pistols.
@Pauly Winkerstinkle if we are talking just round count I think people are just splitting hairs. But you nailed it when you say which do you shoot more accurately. Then round count shouldn't matter. A subcompact cc gun isn't meant to be in the game for a long period of time. With my magguts upgrade I can get 20 rounds total with my 7 and 8 round mag when I +2 each mag. Cheers!

Great weapon and i'm really not a Glock guy. Your vids inspire alot of shooters in that the presentation is to the point but pleasantly palatable (say that 10 times). Anyway like mine EDC, every day. Great shooting on your part as well.

A Glock 43 with a +1 extension fits perfect in the pocket. The 43X with the 15 round Shield Arms magazines… Boom! Game over. I’m extremely satisfied because mines all Black.

I carry the 36 , that big ass hole at the end of the barrel dose have an intimidating factor...not so much with a 9mm..
When it comes to mag capacity most self defense shots are less then 3 rounds anyway...

Could have been a damn 20mm for all I knew. Nobody likes to get shot at, nobody cares about the size of the projectile, and nobody is going to stop and ask what size of defense pistol you've got before they put themselves in jeopardy

Thanks for the review. We need some updates to the .40/10mm//357 etc. Why have manufactures abandoned the rest of the market. Not everyone is a fan of the 9mm.
X it’s the most popular round, with the military and most police forces going to it there just isn’t much incentive to innovate other calibers

Yet the myth that most Agencies use it continues. No other industry uses this inane lack of logic. "Most" men wear a size 9 shoe, so we aren't going to make shoes in size 12? 9mm fans are illogical.
I don’t know what you mean by 9mm fans being illogical. The fbi comes to mind for one that went to 9mm, all the officers i havr spoken with in recent years carry 9. With modern bullet technology it is the perfect self defense round. It’s cheap, there tons of bullet options. And the biggest one for me is capacity, you can put 15 rounds in a glock 19 vs the 13 in the g23. The 21 is a full size and only holds 13 rounds of 45. If there was a g19sized 380 i would carry that bad boy all the time. There are innovations in the 10mm world with rock island and sti coming out with their 2011s with 16 round capacity, but again, that’s a full size gun, and I would personally only use it for hunting.
As for youtubers jumping on a 9mm band wagon, that’s just how it goes. One person says it’s the end all be all and everyone jumps on, one person says it’s a piece of crap and will blow up and kill everyone in a 10 mile radius. Everyone jumps on. It’s social media...
@@HickLif3 Does modern bullet technology only apply to the 9mm? DHS ordered over 140 million rounds of .40 last year alone. The FBI simply added the 9mm as an option - they did not require Agents to change their firearms. I don't besmirch your reasons for carrying the 9mm, round count is a relevant concern. However, my original comment was we need more options for the millions of gun owners that don't care for the 9mm OR simply want other options...

I used to criticize the G48, but you're right. In those unfortunate unfree states with a 10 round limit, having something that's as shootable as a 19 is a benefit.

Looks like it’s much larger than the Sig P365. I haven’t switched from my 43 to a 365 yet because of the issues they’ve had. But even with this new releases I’ll be getting a 365 at some point. This 43X model is nothing more than a bigger version of a 43... not innovative enough. They tried the 1.5 stack but they failed.
I’ll take more conceal-ability with a 10 round p365 all day. If I feel like I need more grip, just use the 12 rounder lol and honestly, it’s probably still smaller than the 43X!!!
Give Sig another year and the 365 will be a very good gun. Never buy a new model Sig in the first one to two years it's just going to be destined for failure look at almost every new gun they have launched past the classic series
Agreed completely. First to admit I'm a straight up glock fanboy and the 365 is actually innovation at its finest. It will be my pick with the 12 round mag.

@@brysonw1815 Sig is very experienced when it comes to making hammer fired guns. They're new to the striker fire game though, that's why the P320 and 365 came out with so many flaws.
How is this a fail? The gun works and will be available for purchase. The p365 was a fail with multiple issues, which is a bummer.
