High Speed British Steam | 60163 ‘Tornado’ at 90mph on The Ebor Flyer - 14th April 2018

The Ebor Flyer headed by 60163 'Tornado' was the first of regularly sanctioned 90mph runs. While the tour expected to run at speeds up to 90mph, all was not well as just after my location the pacific encountered a now infamous failure involving the inside motion.
The tour was captured at Sheep Lane near Sandy which was recorded at 90mph.

It all came as quite a shock! Just pleased I finally got a shot of steam at 90, especially after travelling up north last year for the test... hope you enjoyed yesterday’s steamings!
