You guys are great! Every topic I could ever need about wave runners you guys have a video on I just purchased a new Yamaha and was thinking about how annoying it would be to be a tuber behind me with that tail hitting you in the face!
I put 2 white led lights on the back of my fxho, when the machine is running the entire water spout is illuminated and serves as a rear light, for evening rides and fireworks shows. I haven't seen it because I drive but every time I use it people ask about it.A police officer said it was the best idea for visibility he had seen.
@@watercraftjournal They are treated as runabouts here in Ontario, same rules except life jacket must be worn, and anchor optional. There is a huge difference between going out at night and trying to get home in limited visibility. That being said, lake Ontario under a full moon in the summer is amazing.
Thanks for the video. I just bought a 2013 fxho and will put a ball valve in and close off the water when tubing. I only wish you had a torch on during the video so I could see the other end of the tube.
I have always been curious about the potential effects of removing the visibility spout on the flow of water to the intercooler and engine block, and whether this modification could lead to an improvement in thermal efficiency.
Why did you even ever think that? The water the spout is using is coming from after the water has going through the intake grate, her pump, “through the engine” etc.

I have a 2016 yamaha cruiser. I have spoke with multiple people and searched the web concerning problems with the battery draining. After turning the jet ski off the control panel comes back on and the cycling starts when the ski is off. Help
@@watercraftjournal I only have a few friends left even just with the visibility spout but i've fitted a tap and i turn it on only when i ride in the ocean
When I worked in the field at a huge large dealership we had a Yamaha GP800r that kept running really rough. The plugs kept fouling out and they would get a wierd burn pattern to them. I pulled the carbs off probably 3xs before I found the issue. The customer asked how to get rid of the spout. My boss/owner did what was fairly common and pull the hose, put a bolt in it and secured it with the hose clamp. I had seen this and hooked it back up bc I was a new young tech that was afraid of messing with any safety features of the ski, especially leaving the dealership. After it was hooked up the ski ran perfectly again. After that I never recommended blocking off the spout unless it was deleted totally by removing the nozzle and filling the hole with aluminum epoxy. I know it sounds crazy but I never had to worry about that type of issue again
Ooooh I will...... 😝😝😝😝😝 The part that goin be more fun is I'm make use of the leaky water hose my better half has and chop it to do this🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭🤭🤭🤫🤫🤫 Hope she dont see this post.
@@watercraftjournal saying now I want to do this to my ski, and then hide it and when my friends drive beside me, I can whip out the hose and use it like a water gun lol
Now that’s too funny.
Good video as always Kevin.
Keep up the good work.
Glad you enjoyed it! (Please LIKE and SHARE to help us grow!)
Great video! I also saw a guy put a small valve on the hose to turn it on or off when desired.
That's a good idea too!

That's rad. And we're glad you live somewhere that allows you to ride at night. Most states don't permit it.

Waiting on my 1st Yammie so this vid was super helpful. Thx Kevin!
Glad it was helpful!
Great tip!!! Next up how to cancel the dumb three neap alarm on start up please 😬😬👍🤗
LOL. It's not that bad.

Does the water come out warm from the exhaust? Would be nice to stuff the hose down your wetsuit to keep you warm in colder waters.
I would like a valve that would allow me to turn it on and off. Thanks for the video.
You bet!
Just put an inline ball valve in the hose and you have it.

Will adding value to shut off spout void warranty?
Very professional video!

Yikes. That's a serious electrical gremlin. You're got an active draw eating your battery. I think the On/Off/kill switch needs to be replaced.
Nothing is wrong with the Ski, that’s just how Yamaha made it from the get go, a bit silly imo.
Great tip of how to alienate your friends by converting the visibility spout into a garden spray hose
Glad you enjoyed it! :D

I’m sure your friends will love you when you spray them with salt water in the eyes.
LOL!
Or you could splice in a half inch valve and have the option of on or off, if you want it on while riding solo.
True. We just wanted to keep this one super simple for the newbies.
That's a cool idea.
I did the valve. Works great. I only turn in on when I'm towing so it help with the tow of shame!

There's zero correlation between an open outlet on the pump venturi and the fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Correlation is not causation.
The exact same thing happenned to mine (2016 vx cruiser HO).
Thanks for the info.
You bet!
Was that on a Yamaha with the ride system
Yeah but it works on all Yamahas.
Kevin,
Don't you know that the whole purpose for the yamaha pisser is to pee on seadoo's that are behind the yamaha's in a drag race..😂🤣
I thought it was to shower your friend behind you as you tow his Sea-Doo back to shore.

Very!
Video needs a new title "How to make an annoying feature even MORE annoying." JK :) Appreciate your work and videos.
LOL! It's all about how you use the knowledge that's given you.
I learned after my first group ride when they all complained, so before the next ride I disconnected it and have not missed it any.
Yeah, it's a bit annoying.
Very good and funny 😅

That’s Great 🤣 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 keep up the Good work Kevin
Thanks! Will do!
lol,,,, love it Kevin.....

Bro that's how you can convert your rooster tail into a live well in your cooler... mind blown
Yes and no. At idle/low speed you’re not making enough thrust to circulate the tank. Not at higher speeds does it flow.
Tylko po co to ?
We told you in the video what it is for.
