The B48 motor for BMW is excellent, but share the flaw of plastic charge pipes as every other modern BMW. The charge pipe can break under normal usage, but especially so if your car is tuned. This is an easy upgrade with only a few simple tools and 15min or so to do it.
Required parts and tools:
Kies Motorsports B48 charge pipe

T30 torx bit or socket

Thanks for the video. The only thing worth mentioning is that removing the clip that holds the sensor in (at 3:24) was surprisingly difficult. You'd think it would just unclip and pop right out, but mine was basically stuck on there. I had to use a flat head and carefully pry it out.

That is the best place to start for sure.. it's a good motor, so keeping up on maintenance will serve you well. Whats next depends on tuning goals too if you are doing so.
Does this one fit the 2023 Z4 sdrive30i?
Can't say without checking Parr numbers.. if the same motor then likely yes.
What intake you running?

Lots of things you can do, but the charge pipe is quick and easy.
@@BMWDIYGuycan you share a list that would give us a guide to upgrade to ensure reliability while tuning? Like a bigger oil pump, intake, crank shaft cylinder yk? Gaskets
