Trimming a Gaited Tennessee Walker Broodmare

- This video shows a trim on a gaited horse, a Tennessee Walker Broodmare. She has lovely hooves and was left bit long after she foaled to give her time to bond with her foal. Some mares can be very protective for a few weeks after they deliver. So this is the general protocol we take at this breeding facility when it comes to trimming. So this is her first post foaling trim. There was not much distortion present. Mostly just a lot of hoof wall that needed to be removed and rebalanced.

Pregnant women definitely have sore backs...does she have a sore back? That will make her uncomfortable with standing on three legs.
She could definitely have a sore back from being pregnant! The owner is very good about getting her horses chiropractic adjustments and body work when then need it!
@@The_Female_Farrier I'm not thinking it would be out of line for her to be looked at.
