My thoughts are, if you can’t maintain your own horses feet then you shouldn’t own horses. Growing up we maintained between professional trimmings. At any rate your work is beautiful
I like the direction the podcast is trying to head towards, but the rebranding is a bit off. The logo is confusing, had i not known any better i'd have thought it was the logo to a gambling/smoking related channel. And the name is really incongruent to the message you're trying to promote. I hear "dying breed" coming from a farrier channel and i think of horse breeds that are dying out, not the farriers jobs. Just where my brain went, so thought i'd share in case it's helpful (probably isn't but you did ask lol). Maybe keep your name + farrier as the most prominent thing, with a tag line of farriers dying breed etc etc afterwards. Would help people know the deal from the jump. Whichever way it goes, i wish you the best of luck with it
The new logo is fine in design purposes but I dont think it reflects what yall do very well or why people watch your content. The dying breed can be attributed to literally any trade these days. I would have more symbolism in it that hints to what it’s about. The equine/ farrier community is fairly isolated because most people dont own a horse or can even fathom what it’s like to work in the community/ industry. A lot of your viewers come from those who are into asmr or they are fascinated with your trade and enjoy your explanations on it. Think of the Hoof GP as a good example of this. I think the logo should reflect that. Just as a friendly suggestion of course. Cheers.
Wild horses definitely don't live nearly as long as ones properly maintained domestic ones. Wild horses used to run enough that their hoofs never got too long. Domestic horses have easy access to food and water and don't have to worry about predators so they don't have to travel as much as their ancestors did. Combine that with them not having as much room to run around makes them need trimmed regularly. If they are used for riding or other work, then they require shoes so their hoofs don't wear down too fast as well as give them extra traction.
"Yellowstone is like Game of Thrones for country people." Lol that's the first time I've heard that. I don't care for Yellowstone but I'm a HUGE Game of Thrones/House of the Dragon fan! Guess I'm just not country enough. 🤷♀️ Still love my horses though.
I once had a cob come to the UK from Ireland. Very nice bay mare. Her feet were so long but had maintained all four shoes, when she moved her shoes didn’t clink they kerflopped!
Do I own a horse ? No! Do I know anything about horses and their feet? No! And yet here I am loving this. So peaceful watching u work, have no clue why but you keep doing you 😂
Since you wear a billed hat, you can clip your mic to the front of it and you won't pickup your breathing, but your voice will be clear.
Not a fan of the new logo.
Love your videos but the covid comments came off as really callous :/ some of us lost and are still losing friends and family to it.

Prefer your old logo. Not into skulls.
Everybody breathes. Don't worry about the whiners.

no substitute for solid competent work, awesome job bro. ❤💪👍
Good work! He seems to have pretty good feet originally, they trimmed up quite well👍
You were totally cracking me up about the Rona, homeschooled, game of thrones conversation 🤣
Poor baby! Bless you and the lady who saved this horse.
I'm excited for the podcast! I work at a grand prix dressage show barn and seeing you work on these horses makes me remember my roots
Don’t apologise for the breathing, we all know the effort you’re putting in. Liking the logo, exciting times! Hope your hand heals too x
The burn looks better...keep up the great work 🤪
