That full coverage piece just beautiful 😍 congrats on your move, so exciting and exhausting. The best tip I received when we were moving was pack 1 box a day, don't let the big picture overwhelm you. I am thankful that I found you and can be part of your community. Blessings to you and yours! And love on the fur babies a little extra for me
Thank you so much, Trudi! I really appreciate your kind words and support 😊 I’m so glad to have you here 💞✨ The fur babies will appreciate the extra loves.
PACK UP YOUR CRAFT STUFF???? NO MAAM! Lol when I moved after school my craft supplies were the last things to go! 😂 I absolutely adore you and your videos, your projects are so amazing! I'm so excited for the full coverage start next month! 🎉 I'm so glad we're friends and I'm so thankful for our group chat too! 💖 I think whenever we all finally get together in person we need to call it the Golden Girls of 2023 Retreat! 😂 And I love the book content!!!
Oh, my...your disclaimer for the back of your full coverage 😂 Your project is looking great. I love seeing your Love Bug pattern. That fabric is perfect for it. I wonder if it's just a zweigart color in their main fabric line. You should pack your crafts, but make sure you put it last in the moving van. Then you can get to it first 😁 I'm with you on the summer. I live in AL. If I could skip summer here I would. I have a coworker who loves it 🥵 give me spring, fall, and winter anytime. Have a great week!
I don’t know if somebody has anserd your question about Dimensions kit for the strains. But I Made with a hole puncher above each color al hole, and there I put the strains that I have used, and I store them in a little projectbag from loriholt
The Stitcher’s Garden is my LNS too! Good luck with the move. I just moved my aunt in with me and she had an extensive craft room. I know that she packed a good portion of her house before she completely packed her craft room😅.
Haha, I have the same ideas for plans, sometimes planning is just as fun as actually doing it. I am trying to be reasonable with plans but I usually don’t leave room for unplanned starts, so this month I bumped a plan so I could start the love bugs sal, but it’s so cute and I love it!!
Hold on wait a dang minute……..loop method with one strand. Girl, you’re gonna have to show us that! Second of all-yes, I agree. 3 weeks is too long to go without filming. I was thinking the other day to myself “I haven’t seen MJ (my nickname I’ve made for you.😂 Not b/c of the red hair-but because MarJorie.) in awhile and went to UA-cam to see if I’d missed a video. Glad to see you back. LOVE your progress on Love Bugs. And I agree that packing up your craft stuff too soon is no bueno. Save that for last!
There are several tutorials on youtube that I watched to learn loop method with one strand. I’ll send some link over on instagram 😉 What’s perfect is that my middle initial is J, so several people call me MJ already💞 Thank you so much for watching and enjoying my unhinged antics 😂 Hopefully the move won’t affect my video schedule too badly!
It’s hard sometimes to have a schedule when life gets in the way. My parents moved two months ago (and still have to make another trip to clear out storage) and my mom is missing her craft room. I helped organize this weekend so I could ferret stuff away for myself. Plus I had to pack my stuff away into the basement when we made our nursery and it definitely slowed down my creativity as by the time I dug something out, the moment had passed. I’m a big sucker for a SAL, it’s definitely for being part of the community vibe which is also why I started an Instagram/flosstube because I wasn’t getting those connections in real life. Sales go right to my lizard brain, I go feral dragon collecting for my hoard
I won’t have a craft room in the new house so I’m going to have to get creative with my storage solutions 😂 Honestly, the three tiered rolling cart from Michael’s has been a life saver for storing my current focus projects. It is so amazing that we can create relationships and a community around cross stitch! I don’t know any stitchers in real life beyond my sister who just started and the ladies at my LNS, so it’s really great to connect with people who aren’t geographically close.
I love Picture This Plus fabric and it never looks right on camera. So frustrating, because it’s one of my favorites! Also, I’m so glad you started the love bug SAL because I love watching everyone stitch it 😍 It’s such a beautiful piece!
Loved this video! And your hair/makeup! My current project (that's paused while I finish school this semester) is the Always Has Been pattern by Screaming Hear Design. I can't wait to finish it because I've been diving into antique patterns/samplers and collecting for when I have time to start a million patterns!
thank you so much, elizabeth! 💞✨ I hope the rest of your semester goes smoothly! Starting things is always so exciting for me, so I hope you get to soon 😊
I love your progress on the Love Bugs Sampler. I am not that far along. I started stitching another project and got completely obsessed and haven't gone back. I live in the south. I completely feel you on the hatred for summer. I can not stand summer. The humidity makes me feel like I'm drowning and then the heat makes me feel like I'm in a swamp.
What is the project you started? I love becoming obsessed with projects and you can’t put them down. I would LOVE to move north where it’s cooler 😅 maybe one day
@Marjorie Made the project is call Chromatic Dragon by Gudrun Hall Designed by PaineFreeCrafts. It's like a good book I just can't put it down. Yes. I really was to move northwest. Like Colorado. That is where my mom's family is. Or Washington near my baby sister. But I would be happy in Vermont too. 🙃
Yayyyy! That is so exciting ✨ I hope that it brings you as much joy as it does me! Once you fall into rhythm with it, it’s hard to stop. Reach out on instagram if you want ang questions!
I'm on my second year of working on Fruits of Plenty. I started to get burnt out and felt like I didn't have time to do any stitching that I wanted to do. I'm over half done and feel much better about it.
I definitely don’t want to burn out on it 😭 It’s going to be a challenge for sure, but I’m not going to stress if i get behind. A few WIPGO goals might get changed 😂
Marjorie, you are so fun to watch, and your progress is incredible! I'm sorry that moving has come sooner than you expected; I hope the next few months go smoothly and you're able to settle into your new space easily. Are you staying in Arkansas? "Secret Lives of Church Ladies" is on my TBR - glad to hear it's so good! I'll have to check it out. I'm seriously considering joining the full coverage SAL, too - though mine may be more of a "start along" than a stitch along 🤣 Thanks for the reminder at the end - sometimes one more day is just the thing we need 💜 Happy stitching :)
Hey, Caitlin! Thank you so much for your kind words. I am staying in Arkansas! Just a completely different area, but in a good way 😂 You should definitely join in on the full coverage SAL! It’s definitely just a start-a-long. There’s no way I’ll finish this anytime soon lol Thank you for being here ✨ 💞
I started watching flosstube because I wanted the same thing, I just do not have the time to stitch as I wished to make videos. Love yours and I am stitching the Haunted Library as a focus piece right now, with some others as well.
The community is so welcoming regardless of your role in it. I’m so glad that you watch and participate that way 😊 I’m so glad to have you here 🌻 The Haunted Library is STUNNING!! Are you planning to finish it soon or this year?
I already ordered same fabric for Mushies as well. Gonna buy them as soon as I finish bugs) LOVE IT SO MUCH! ONE MONTH WITHOUT CRAFTING?!?!?!? I Meeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!! COMMON!!!!
OMG, I disappear for awhile thanks to life and come back to a tag from you! Thank you so much! Plus, I just love catching up with your progress! I'm curious how big that Misspelled Sampler is going to be on the 36 ct? I'm debating if I've got a large enough linen piece hanging around to buy and start up that sampler... Oh man, I love Frosted Pumpkin! And their halloween wreath SAL is so tempting, so so tempting!
Oh i totally understand! I’m just now getting around to filming my next video (two weeks late 😬). My piece of fabric for Misspelled is 21x21 with 3” margins. It’s a pretty big one 😅
Love your video! Do you have a tutorial for the single strand loop start method? I love the loop start method so much it's almost prevents me from doing smaller single strand project. I'm currently working on a tiny house hippo for a friend of mine who just moved!
Hey! I searched for the single strand loop method and found several tutorials on youtube. I’ll try to find my favorite one and link it in the description 😊
I said "same!" so many times this episode. Going feral for 30%? Same! My brain refusing to do anything I "have" to do? Same! Another awesome episode. Thank you!
When you were talking about not stitching the summer version of that pattern, all I could think is how hilarious it would be if you did stitch it and changed the words in the middle to “summer sucks” 😆
Ahhhhhh!!!! This is so so so exciting. Thanks a million. Omg. 1. Love your hair 2. Are u having a g&t? Lol. Yum. 3. Im going to start Night Circus #7 Thank you so so so so much. Awesome video
You got it! I’ll try to include a segment in my next video, but I’ll give a spark notes version here. I got magnetic boards from walmart (i think they were about $3 each). they came with markers, so i just attached them to the wall with yarn and some tacks. I then printed out cover photos of my patterns and used magnets with adhesive from amazon to attach them to the boards. I have a section for patterns, PIPs (preparation in progress), kits, WIPS, finishes, and then a spot for the ones i’m working on this month. I am a super visual person and this helps me keep track of what i have in stash!
You can go one month without crafting. Do you even know me? 😂❤ literally same. I do a craft atleast once a day. If not at least 5-6 days a week. Even if it’s only one stitch! I can’t wait to start a full coverage with y’all. I’m going to go for it with the one I already have kitted up. 🎉🎉🎉 I love you and I am so glad I made the chat LOL. You’re amazing 😂❤❤❤
Great video! I love the idea of the #ripmywipssal! I started my first full coverage on New Year’s’ Day and haven’t picked it up since. It needs some love. Are we just working when we feel like, or on certain days? I’ll join in! And I am looking forward to watching everyone’s progress on The Misspelled Sampler. I have loved that piece since Julie first released it, but I am also not a big sampler girl. I just know I wouldn’t finish it, as much as I love it. I love so many of those big samplers. And, yes, this community is amazing. And your group chat is Flosstube royalty! Amazing human beings, all of them. Have a great week. Happy stitching!!
Hey!! We are just working on full coverage whenever the mood strikes. I’m going to be starting a new project and working on it when I have time. It’s super low pressure and really just an excuse to start another huge project 😂 I’m not a sampler girl either, but the group chat is converting me. Those girlies love them a big ole sampler 🤣
I complain about summer all the time! It’s too long and hot and just bad vibes. Those who like summer are the weirdos 😂 So glad to find someone who agrees. And i died when you said why isn’t everything free if its 30% off, that’s how the math should be! Loved you gratitude moment 💕
My brain works the exact same way when I hear that "...percent off" 😆😆😆 The last time I was at my LNS they told me the same thing, and when my boyfriend and I got to the counter we were both like "wait.... what happened? Why's it so expensive???" 🙈🙈🙈 Good luck on the move!
THE MATH WASNT MATHING, I do the same thing. my bank account? she’s a mystery to me. i will be full coverage starting with y’all for sure because i need to, duh. summer is the worst, it’s so humid in VA too. we only love summer in theory, not in practice

I’m so grateful to have found myself in the cool kids club 😉
