You can also squirt some lemon juice into the dogs mouth, helps open up airways and run some rubbing alcohol over them in worse comes to worse.
Alot of show dog owners have those two things in their show bags just incase their dog, or someone else's dogs starts to over heat. Used alot in the American Bully world.

We have a 5 month old Dobermann.
He heals sit downs stays ect .he has small bag of tricks..also he’s a shark 🦈
So I kinda know what I’m doing..
That said we signed up for team dog training 👍🏻
I can’t for the life of me understand why you would get a dog and not drop a few bucks to learn how to train yourself/ your pooch...

I am wanting to get a new dog, most likely an American bulldog. I want to follow your training and obedience but my wife has a little turd of a dog who isn’t crate trained and is hit an miss with obedience even pisses in the house it seems like once a week, an to be honest I’m not going to get much support on “re-training” her “baby”. With brining a new dog in and following your training on crate training and obedience, should i expect issues with the new dog following my wife’s dogs habits. If so how would you suggest addressing this. My biggest concern is the new dog could become jealous that he is in the crate and the other dog gets to free roam.

    21:47 If I don't have a clicker, can I snap?
What happens if I tried that "stop barking" trick but my dog is already two steps ahead...my dog starts barking just to get me to tell him to stop barking to get a treat? He escalates the negative behaviors and obeys them based upon when *he* wants a treat. I'm lost, this animal is the smartest most cunning animal I've ever met.
31:37 - I think I have one of yours who has been punished with a crate, he has the worst separation anxiety I have ever seen in my life and complete full blown panic attacks, nightmares and flashbacks...I try to crate him while I am home to build up his trust that I am NOT going to leave and not come back...try to imagine a chick dating a super clingy traumatized SERE guy? ...He can open his crate, he can not be contained. I like that quality...but I just need to build his trust in me that I won't lock him in there and leave him.
I have to keep it against the wall so he can't open the door. This isn't a typical "normal dog".
PS: I registered but can't afford it, right now, I promise to do this when I have the funds.
PSS: I am actually my dog's therapy dog. Which is actually pretty therapeutic for me. Gift of the Magi, thing. I've had him for a month and a half. We are doing well.
PSS: I joined it. Now a proud TTD member.

Mike, Adding a new puppy to the family in a few months, December 2020, at what point should I sign up for your on-line lessons, when we get the puppy or beforehand to prepare in advance?

Hi there , Mike. Got to your podcast after watched you on Jocko´s. Haven´t watched the other videos yet. I´m a terrible dog owner , but i love them , have 11. Six grown ups (2 years old) , and 5 young (6months) . I live in the country side , very isolated area , and i gave too much freedom to the old ones , and it , of course back fired. They´ve killed one of my neighbours cow , a small one. I understand your principles, i got it, try to implement it . But i´m no professional. Now i keep them in chains and rotate them , some are in chain , some are not . But if i let them all together they will start doing shit. The chasing , and killing appeals to their very core of behaviour. So after they done that is almost like hardwired. How would you deal with this? How to break this drive ? Looking foward to watch your other videos . It´s of great help. Greetings from Serra da Mantiqueira , Brazil. God bless you.

Great advice, only 167 assholes liked it? That's disappointing.
