Anticipating another interview like the one you did with him, man that was awesome!! Love watching/listening to you SF guys stories etc etc. I'll be ordering my VE hat and hoodie soon...... Wife making me wait..LOL
I'm sure you hear this a lot, but I'd be very interested in any washout type dog you need to home. Those that won't bite well ect. I lived with a "washout" for 13 years and miss her every day. That dog saved my life in a very rough time.
I love how you didn’t punish him for jumping in the pool.. Made it completely inconsequential! You’re incredible at what you do Mike, thanks for the awesome videos!
This was awesome! The more I watch you the more I realize dogs make more sense, on a psychological level, than many humans. Jumping into the pool was fucking hilarious. “Nah, I’m not ready to go in yet...” (SPLASH)
Just joined Mike's online training for my rescued German Shepherd from a cattle ranch that they were going to shoot after he ran down a deer & broke it's neck at 13 months old. I'm the go to dog training guy around here & have watched a ton of training stuff. Mike is hands down the best by far. Looking forward to going to the next level. Thanks, Mike in advance.
Philadelphia checking in again. Your whole community whether it be Mike Glover, Shawn Ryan, Jocko, and the rest of the crew, yas all put out quality content!! I don't even know why I have regular TV I'm on UA-cam watching you guys the majority of my off time. Not complaining, like I said it's quality. If we had people like you n the crew in the political realm, there wouldn't be too many issues. Like I said great content keep it up 💪
Great to see these "behind the scenes" videos. Being in your program the last four years has been the most educational and rewarding experience I could have chosen to help me bring my dog to his full potential. Training never ends. Thank you.
My father was a Police dog handler (uk) and then instructor for over 30 years. Most of the time he had German shepherds through the 80s, then into the late 90s early 00s they changed to the Belgium Malinois and the difference was impressive. The agility and overall capabilities of the malinois was so far superior. Brilliant dogs

We did a dog bite training with that breed. It was amazing how fast that dog got to me and latched on. I could feel the bite pressure on my arm for probably 10 minutes after I set back down.
Best advice ever for real training , made me come out of my shell to give my dogs more attention and understand my dogs more to whole different level, thanks so much
As a former member of Teamdog.pet, I have to say “Thank you” again for your lessons. You changed my entire relationship with my dogs, and made both me and them better for it. This is a great video, and I look forward to more.
Absolutely gorgeous dog! He is very confident! Hearing him catch that ball made me wince.... he must have one heck of a bite. Thought it was funny when he got in the pool right as you are trying wrap things up. lol. He didn't feel like going inside yet! Looking forward to seeing more videos!
I love the training...I have an 8 month old female and I travel every week for work, she rides in her crate and stays in the hotel while I go to work. Very mellow for a Malinois, she always lets me know when someone is outside my room. I didn't think she'd make a protection dog but I promise if someone walks up on me and she senses my nervousness she gets very protective, if I stay calm she stays calm. Nothing better than knowing people in big towns that hangout around hotels will not come close when they see her!
Hi from Australia. Thank you for this video series. Dogs are some of the best people you'll meet and it's the owners responsibility to be proficient in working and playing with them. These videos are great for this. Thanks again 👍🏻
Awesome start to the series! Arrow is handsome. I'd love to see outside your home/space behaviors. How you manage the dog specifically louder areas i.e. crossing a busy confusing large intersection, grocery stores etc. Thx Mike!
A shout out to those washed out dogs :). Had a Lackland washout who ended up working at Wildlife Waystation. She never once hurt a human but told all the critters including hybrids, mustangs and bears that she was Queen. Had to make money but couldn’t kennel her in a back yard as a pet so cried my heart out and left her with a great guy. She’s buried out there in Tujunga Canyon, still the most intelligent dog I’ve ever owned. Sasha, you left paw prints on my heart forever. Great video, appreciate your calm.
Good show guy I have a 16-month old male malinois Training him in schutzhund IPO He's a good tracker / obedience / Protection Going to try to get him titled next year 2021 I was thinking down the road in getting a good female for him. People are saying over seas you will find a better one then local. What do you think. Tony
pete perkins YES!!! He is that smart could feel the vibe and , oh look, Ive got to get the ball. Could just see it like i do with my Tucker🤣. Beautifully intelligent
@@528sheriff if you protection train him do not teach bark and hold...its counter productive and dangerous for a protection dog...look at richard hientz...for a better explanation....nothing against the competition it confuses the true protection dog
Beautiful Animal Sir. Nothing but Respect for how well trained and cared for these dogs are. Arrow just snapped to attention better than any boot I have ever seen. :-)
Hey Mike, some years ago I imported, trained, handled and certified a Malinois with FEMA MO-TF 1. Best experience of my life. He (Bodie) and I traveled the country working rubble piles, amusement parks, buildings both occupied & unoccupied.....not many disasters happen in our backyards. He was my best buddy and some of the best memories are just doing what you did and let them be just a dog hanging in the back yard for a bit. Can't wait for more videos like this one. Thanks for what you do for these awesome animals!!!!
I got to admit it this is the first dog video I've watched in the Mike ritland world and I like it. If I can afford it I will become a member, but I'm on a fixed income but I am going to try to Slither it on in there and see if I can make it happen. Thank you for what you do with dogs. I love dogs more than I love humans
Hey love the content. Thanks for your service . I've owned Malinois my entire life I think you can appreciate this- "In the Canine world there are Malinois & everything else is just dogs!" great stuff awesome dogs. Can't beat a Mal.
Mike this is outstanding! I have a two year old Doberman and he exhibits very similar behavior to the dog you are working with in this video. By the way that is a gorgeous dog.
I love it Mike!.. Looking forward to seeing all of the things to come.. Beautiful dog, beautiful property, can't necessarily say the same for you but I don't think we're interested in you for your dashing good looks...
I really don't think that most people understand how much work goes into training dogs. I use to have a pack of Catahula and a breed of Pit/Mastiff and I would literally have to work those dogs weekly from pups until they were retired. It fucks them up if they aren't doing the job they were bred to do and if an owner isn't doing their part. I've seen dog that were bought, already trained, not even get out of the truck. Thousands of dollars and man hours wasted because the owner wouldn't work the dog. Training them keeps them safer as well. As you know....thanks for these videos. I'm sure we all can learn a lot from them.
Mike if you can get the people at resilience cbd to make some 0% thc, high cbd isolate tincture WITHOUT the soy lethicin that would be stellar. Many people are allergic to soy lethicin it gives them headaches. Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do! Your podcast is up there with rogan and jocko.
I think echo Charles talks too much and joe doesn’t let guest talk without interrupting often. I think Mike has it down- along with Shawn Ryan. Good back and forth and relevant info! Thank you
Soy lecithin is the bonding agent in gummies. Not sure there is a mass produced substitute that wouldn't make the gummies $5 each. There are other CBD options though.
Thank you for taking the time Mike, my wife and I have both been wondering how you structure both your day and the training of the current clients dog and what that would look like, especially in light of the amount of stuff you got going on fucking outstanding!
This is great. I can't wait for more of these. I think one super important part that you did but did not talk about is how controlled you where when allowing him out the open door.
Brother the dog stuff, warrior dogs, training, what you look for, the first few days, videos are the key. It’s only a Matter of time. your German commands are on point with no accent! sure we Germans have much more complicated words but still one can hear that you practise a lot and take the language they were trained in very seriously. keep up the great work! Love it, have 2 beautiful shepherds myself that have awesome manners (behavior) and are great with the kids including a 3 year old. Love the breed hope to learn some more from you
Love the simple overview of how your training program goes. So many training videos deal with just one specific issue, but it’s really helpful now and then to just hear how a busy trainer schedules his day and moves through the steps. Thanks!
Great video brother! Thats awesome to see how you interact with the pups and give a knowledge session i look forward to more from you as always! Love the podcasts always great guest cant waitnfor the next one! Take care!
Hey Mike, just found out about you! I've always been a dog guy myself, my Pop is an army Vietnam vet, and I am a career firefighter, so this is right up my alley! Thank you for the info, and I look forward to your video's!
My pup is about 18 months old, Shepherd/Sharpen/Rottweiler Mix. Very confident, extremely athletic, very friendly but not aggressive, highly driven, keeps a consistent roving perimeter with great recall, and *highly* situationally aware. Not a barker, more of an observer. He does pull when on leash and will run to another dog when off leash, so we're going to work on that using Mike's book.
Good stuff man.
