Who the hell would dislike this video? Mike is awesome. I appreciate what you've done is the past for our country and I appreciate what you're doing now with sharing your tips with the dogs. Thank you sir!

Amazing. As soon as you opened the cage you had a friend for life with both those dogs. They immediately connected with you. The hardest part has to be seeing them go when they complete their training.

Thanks for the information! Also it was extremely helpful for me to see the demonstration of using food to get a dog to want to come to you. Just tried it on the one dog here that has zero recall off leash. He was obviously reluctant at first but got more and more comfortable. Like you said after a few days I feel this will really change his desire to be close. Thanks a lot man appreciate it greatly!

I honestly believe this method of training will boost her confidence and get her to pay the needed attention to me. Which is the only con she has got. Thank you so much Mike for sharing your techniques! I'm sure I'm not the only person you have helped! Again, Thank you! Dan @6-4_Fab Glen Rock, PA

Hey Mike, I just ran across you ( and this video) for the first time. Really, informative. I have a few questions. 1) If they are getting their meals fed to them by hand does that ever stop ? 2) "After a couple of days," you said, "they stick to you like glue." Then what? Are they constantly waiting for food or do you stop feeding them at some point in exchange for them sticking to you like glue? 3) Is this setting them up for "off leash" discipline (where you can walk a forest trail, for example, and not have to worry about them dashing away like Usain Bolt? 4) What's a team dog member?
Try putting a sheet of smooth plywood in truck bed so your dogs have traction. Also helps with cleanup. Have been cross country this way with my previous akita. If in a cold area line bed with cardboard for insulation
Question: How do you know (or at least have confidence) that when you have a dog shipped from Europe that they will be a good candidate for a working dog position? Do you do have the breeder tell you how the dog acts and then you'll decide to ship them or do you buy from a breeder that sells dogs specifically for working and hope it is what you are looking for? Straight up trial and error maybe?
Excellent video. Those dogs are beautiful. That 3 day hand feed routine is brilliant. I'd be very interested in how dogs of that caliber are raised up to the point you receive them. Are those 2 brothers, were they individually raised separately from each other and other littermates? How does that process work? Thanks for all the great info.
Possible repetitive/stupid question: Mike, have you ever gone to deliver a dog and refused to deliver to the recipient (unsafe envir., bad humans, or whatever)? What happens in such a case?

Loved the confidence in the dogs but how do i check if they have it at the first place before actually paying for them?
Please help.
I imported Bavarian Mountain Hounds from Slovakia for our tracking company and it was just like this. I didn’t realize what all went into importing dogs but they were in crates just like yours and had to have passports lol. Would love to try a Belgian Shepard to track some day
