The colours are awesome and very funky!!! Remember, Doug, we watch your videos for you, happy accidents and all!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
AWWWWW ! Thank You Samantha
Awesome job I think it looks lovely and the save was a brilliant job you just get better Doug love watching your channel. Thank you for teaching me how to wood turn and how to use resins and colours. Hope your feeling better soon 👍👍👍😊😊😊♥️
Thank You Keven, you are very welcome
Amazing like always Doug! The trials and tribulations you went through just make it that much better. If I could do a tenth of what you do, not just with woodworking but everything as a whole, I would consider myself a successful man. Keep it up and try not to work too hard. First and foremost take care of yourself.
Thank You Kevin, I do what I have to do, just as anyone else can do
The colors are amazing, and your "repair" gives it character! Beautiful as always :)
Thank You Thank You Dawn
@@PohlBarnProductions You're very welcome :)
Actually, the repair lines fade in really well and go with the other black lines. And the colors are amazing! Nice save, Doug. 💜
Thank You Tracey
Love the sound of singing huskies. My 3 everytime I get home from work. Nice job looks great
Thank You Punky, 2 huskies 3 adult pomskies and 18 pomskie pups all out there singing ! it gets noisy at times. they sound like coyotes !
Mine r enjoying the snow today
Nice bowl Sir. It is good to see you turning again. You were missed. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you kindly Lillie
Oh my goodness!! When you were screwing it onto the lathe for the first time my 4 year old said “I hope it doesn’t fly off! It looks pretty cool”. And then when we realized it did fly off she gasped!! It looks amazing! We all love it!
LOL but I fixed it ! Thank You Kendra
Yep! And it looks great! My kids love watching you and come running whenever they hear your intro! Lol
That's Awesome !
Ernie smith from brisbane Australia i love watching this guy create wonders. Just happy chappy and colourful.
Thank You Thank You Ernie, Happy New Year
Glad you're back and feeling better. Love the rustic aurora spittoon. The grain contrast is beautiful, and the resin colors remind me of winters in Alaska. Glad you finished it, even if it was a bit of a pain.
Thank you so much Mary Ellen!
That came out gorgeous, buddy! I nearly choked in my coffee when you scraped those tins into the trash!
LOL Thank You Billy,
Thank you for not giving up. It ended up being very nice.
Thank You Jason,
Nice to see you back again Doug. And a nice fix too. When it was broke off I really thougth it was the end of it, but it came of nice. Good colors too. Well, stay healthy my friend and thank you for this good video. 👍
Thank You Thank You
It looks great! That's cool you were able to get ahold of an old telephone pole.
Yes it was! Thank You
Interesting color choices. I was surprised they turned out so pretty. Good eye. Glad you’re feeling better. Thanks, Doug.
Thank You Derek, I didn't think those colors were gonna work either but they did

Thank You Jeanette, I do my best
Glad you’re feeling better. Well done getting past the bottom issue. Looks like it was destined to give you problems from the start. Another good one Dougie. Thanks.
You know cedar is a pain to work with from the start ! Thank You Doug
I like the ring around the belly! Glad to have you back in action as well! There had been something missing in my life every Thursday with you gone 😉

So glad you are feeling better my friend. And if that's out of practice then it's pretty darn good. I saw the colors and thought whoa but they worked well together. Another beautiful piece Doug.

I know you are disappointed but I love it!!!! Glad to see you back! Welcome to the future! You always seem to recover when disaster come to visit and turn it around!!!!
Thank You Jeff, LOL I wished it would of exploded while I was making it so I could be done with it !

Woooohooooo!! Beautiful! Thank you for the fix! Love the colors!
You are so welcome! Thank You for watching Kim
The two brown spots in the center of it looks like Tire wheels. I like it the cracks and all. And I love those colors.
Thank You Anita
I have a love-hate relationship with cedar. I love the way it looks but hate how brittle it is. The tenons or recess cracks every time. This one lived up to my expectations. Fought you the whole way. Good to see you back.
Thank You Ken, I think this is the last of any cedar I have for bowls,
Your colours are great. I have been told by my sawyer buddies, there is silicate in telephone cedar poles, they say that their saw blades do not stay sharp for very long. I love how you keep trying. Show us your mistakes.
Thank you Frances, I've been told the same thing, that pole was over 100 years old when taken down and I am not sure how long it sat after that before I received it.
Great looking bowl and nice recovery! Came out purdy! Thx for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Well, I, for one, really like the swirly colours in this piece! The basic wood, with its lovely open grain, is well complemented by the resin colour choice. Thanks, and Happy New Year!
Thank you very much Stephanie! Happy New Year
Love the colours and shape.
Another rabbit out of your hat..👍😉...
Looks great even after it fighting you...see ya next week...🌿🌿🌿
Fingers crossed! Thank You Pamela !
Another beautiful bowl, Doug!! 😃 Great job as usual!! 😃
Thank you so much Hillary 😃
@@PohlBarnProductions You're very welcome, Doug!! 😃
Really nice piece Doug. Colors look great. Repair worked out really well. I hope to get a new sticker of my revamped logo out to you soon.
I hope so too! Thank You Michael and Happy New Year
Doug you saved the Thinga Ma Bob 👍, take care
Thank You Doug, I was hoping it would just explode so I could be done with it! LOL
That D.I.Y wax finish is beautiful
Thank you Tanya, Kim Tippin made and sent it to me, no she does not sell it or the abrasive paste
You said it was telephone cedar, it’s probably full of sand. That might be why it is killing your tools. Glad to see someone turning me and Billy Burt are being held hostage with allergy season. Turned out great!
Thank You, Billy has it bad that is for sure !
Glad it stayed on the lathe. It’s beautiful ❤
Thank You Kathy
@@PohlBarnProductions you’re very welcome and glad also that you’re feeling better
Reminds me of a spittoon or a colorful chamber pot. Great recovery and color combinations!
Thank You John
Very beautiful Doug glad you’re getting better take care and God bless
Thank You Mike
I love turning cedar but it can be finiky (technical term) at times. Hope you enjoy the pastes 👍
Thank You Brad, I'm sure the pleasure has just begun ! lol
Glad you are back Doug get to feeling better have a great weekend ✌
Thank you Larry, you too!
Good to see you’re back! I was beginning to wonder about you. Now life is back to normal! (Whatever “normal” is these days.) Seriously, your mental and physical health is the most important thing in life, so glad to see you’re “back in the saddle, again!”
Thank You Stuart, Happy New Year, well I'm trying to be more self sufficient around here, I've never been a fan of crowds , but the discrimination that's being allowed to take place bothers me greatly, I was never normal to begin with, LOL
Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing your video.
Thanks for watching Mark!
Another beautiful job Doug. Way to go.
I appreciate that Thank You Steve
Bowl turned out nice. When you crack the base like that maybe try one of those metal bands I see wood turners use when doing segments? Glad to see you back.
Thank You Barbara, I thought about that but it tends to leave marks all the way around that need to be fixed once band is removed
Great Work Mr. Doug!!! I love the colors!!👍
Thank You Charity
Good morning, Doug. All the best to you as things start rollin this year. This project ended very well. Adapt and overcome. Keeps our minds working. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank You Ray, Just get it done or let it explode was what was on my brain !
Great save Doug! You did good! Thanks for sharing your creativity with me again. Stay safe, Vickie PS I wondered where you've been
Thank you Vickie, I will
Wow those close ups, gorgeous effects... Happy New Year Doug, glad you're feeling better. I was amazed you got away with that repair but it just blends in beautiful and even better it held up!
Looks great Doug I like colors too thanks for my video fix doug I needed it😃😃😃😃😃
Glad to help, Thank You Scott
Good job Doug! Glad youre feelin good enough to get back in the shop. It has given me a kick in the hangy downs too, but, im startin to think I might actually survive. Cedar can be both really pretty, AND a real PITA. Its nice when it works, but ive turned more than a few pieces of it into ash! Yours came out a winner. Well done bud!
You and me both! Thank You Dave
Glad to see you feeling better 🙏
Thank You George
This has turned out beautiful ❤️ I literally said that "this is getting thin and he's making me nervous.." when you said you were not going to push your luck 😂 so I was relieved for you!
Thank you so much Em!! yeah I tend to push my luck all the time
Kinda reminds me of rainbow sherbet. I really like that you were able to salvage the bowl.

Beautiful piece ♥️
Thank you Maddie! 😊
Glad to see you back.Happy New Year 😍😍
Thank You Ellen, Happy New Year
I know what that piece is, it's a desktop spittoon. LOL.
I think the way to go is with a glue block and turn it off on the finale turn.
Good to see you again,
Lee
Thank You Lee, I suppose that would work !
Very nice I loved the colors. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
Thank You Ron, Happy New Year

Thank You Carol, Happy New Year !!!!!!!!!
Wow, Doug!!!!!!! That pot is gorgeous!! I love it so much! Especially where the knot is! Those colours complimented each other well! I missed you! Thanks for showing us your awesome talents!
You are so welcome, Thank You Robin!
It's great to see you back turning again Doug, and with such an interesting looking bowl, the colours are amazing! I think the repair on the bottom worked out well and doesn't detract from the finished piece at all 👍👍

Great recovery. Take care.
Thank You Lee
Hey Doug belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sorry to hear you were sick...hopefully not from Covid. Love the bowl and colors. Minor mishap with the break, it happens but all the same l love it. Keep up the great work.
Thank You Steve, no not sick from the C word, I had a head cold, Happy New Year !
Greetings Doug, well done for finishing what must of been a frustrating turn. Love the shape and the colours are fantastic! keep smiling.
Thank You Peter, it was very frustrating for a first project back,
Good to see you back in the shop again, Doug. Of course you had to have problems the first time back but you persevered and it turned out nice. I hope you continue to feel better. BTW - I wasn't sure there was anything behind your eyes (lol). Take care.
Bill
Thank You Bill, behind my eyes was packed solid full of snot !

😄😁😆😅😂🤣
LOL you did too
Turned out nice love the colors
Thank You Raymond
Great piece I like watching you work..
Thank You Thank You Jesse
Happy New Year Doug, good to see you back. Those colors came out well. Not a bad use of an old telephone pole. I imagine I was not the only viewer who gave a sigh of relief and thumbs up when you said you were going to stop pressing your luck. 👍
Thank You Mark, I so wanted it to explode on me so I could stop working on it, 8n in that photo ? I had a 2000 before I got my JD !
@@PohlBarnProductions It's a 1961 Ford 861. I also have a 1958 John Deere 420. I had a Ford 2N that I used before I got the John Deere but sold it early last year. The 2N only had draft control for the 3 point, so that made grading the driveway a challenge because the draft control tries to keep the engine running at the same speed and raises and lowers the 3 point to do that. The 420 has depth control, made it much easier to grade. I got the Ford when I was having problems with the 420. If you have an old tractor, you need two old tractors so at least one of them is working when you need one.
