- Here is a movie that flat out didn't need to happen. It does not improve on the original, changes very little, and is an overall empty experience. Also it has sins.
Thursday: Holiday sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

"Uncles"
😂😂😂 the most disgusting sin to ever be bestowed upon a film
I nearly spit out my food when I realized
*Uncles be like that sometimes*
Funniest one too
I yelled and almost choked while driving!! 🤣🤣😭
Uncles and their little secrets!
The voice acting is so flat, flat earthers are worshipping it
This comment wins, everyone else go home
Bruh fr even mufasa, who has literally done these exact lines but worlds better
James actually had to redo his lines to have less emotion behind them. Reason being because the lions didn't have faces that showed emotion, the voices needed to match.
No. The animations are emotionless. That’s the issue.
James is an exception, for he is pretty old
For some reason, Scar without the darker coloring and menacing eyes is just NOT the same. Instead of looking menacing he just looks SAD.
YES TRUE
Yeah, he just looks like if a depressed and sad dog and a crazy lion had a baby
Have you seen a lion with menacing eyes. It's supposed to be like a real life lion.
Sometimes I couldn’t tell if Simba was sad. Sure I heard the I’m sorry dad crying voice but the lion look like he was saying it with a straight face. Hard to show emotion on cgi animals.
He IS sad
Me, seeing the title: *This movie exists.*
10 seconds in: *”This movie exists.”*
Lol. 😂
The Scar in this film is so darn boring. The animated Scar was incredibly charismatic.
Battle Burrito Lol. 😁
Well, it was Jeremy Irons, and that man's charisma can shine through even when he's just an animated character
Yep
They changed it because the old one apparently was too "queer coded"
They ruined his song ;/
Mufasa: "You could have been killed."
Hermione: "Or worse, EXPELLED."
chinareds54 underrated comment 😂
i feel so dumb. i literally just realized - at the very moment i saw this comment - the joke. it’s been like 10 years since i first saw that Harry Potter movie.
How do you only have 31 likes😂
looolllll
chinareds54, you need more recognition!
genius
You forgot the:
"The sky gets dark when the villain wins and takes over the land" cliché.
Yep, so true
Yeah so true
How is that "cliché"?
@@cameussmith It's a reference to the "cliché" running gag on CinemaSins
Mufasa: "Everything the light touches is our Kingdom."
Simba: "What about that shadowy place?"
Mufasa: "That's the live action remake. You must never go there son."
Underrated comment
@@ss-shapeshifter. Agreed. This is fantastic.
🤣 Lmao, this comment!
Lmao. Thanks guys 😂
thats mufasa's closet
The original “Be Prepared” was way better.
To be fair, the original _everything_ was better
I liked this version cause it was so different, it felt more like a war chant than a song, but yeah I agree the original, of course, is definitely way better.
Agreed. Jeremy Irons and Jim Cummings were ICONIC in that performance (Jim finished the second half, Jeremy's voice gave out).
Ashlyn Lockard YES! OMG. MYFABOURITE SONG FROM THISMOVIEANDTHEY FRICKING CUT IT!
Natalie Chua Not Disney’s fault. They weren’t going to have the song in the movie at all but people just had to bitch and moan about it which gave us the short version.
Mufasa: "Scar, help me."
He didn't sound like he was about to fall and die, he sounded like he needed help to move a table.
I must admit, this comment did make me giggle lol.
@@TheyCallMeChips same
*Mufasa:* "Errrgh, hey, Scar, a little help moving the dinner table over there, please?"
*Scar:* "You're big and fat and I'm scrawny. Move the damn table yourself!"
That awkward moment when you want your brother to help you move a table but he doesn't feel like it so he pushes you off a cliff.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 for some reasons calling you a king.
I lost it at "AAH! Twilight baby! Oh, it's just Simba."
listen, as someone that memorized this movie shot for shot and line for line after watching it every night for six months (because I was too lazy to change the dvd for a different movie) I can 100% confirm that this pretty much a shot for shot LINE FOR LINE remake that isn’t even close to as good as the original
That is boss level lazy
“This movie exists” Truer words have never been spoken.
Pets 2 is a movie that exists and it’s pretty decent
Better than Boss Baby 2
So True this movie exists *ding*
Needs 100 more Sins to that
@@TylerBluTheConqueror777 Happy non sequitur.
“Can you feel the love tonight?” is in broad daylight.
**where is sin?**
My exact question
To obvious
Elected News This channel doesn’t do good / actually sins anymore. Watch Birdmen EWW Cinema Sins.
@@AstroStrongBox well thats the thing, they never did 😂
The only movie they did actual sins for was Dragonball Evolution
“Was he named something normal and then he got a scar and they named him Scar?” Yes, yes they did. That’s actually exactly what happened. He was named Taka- for those who don’t know, which means trash btw- and after a snake bit his eye and he got a scar, Mufasa nicknamed him Scar. “Wouldn’t he get pissed that people are constantly calling him a derogatory name based on his appearance?” Why do you he’s mad at all the time? 😂
i knew this but now that i think ab it, mufasas a dickhead and so were his parents
I didn't know his name was Taka, but the rest was super obvious. I don't know why Jeremy even asked the question
His parents set him up for failure naming him "Trash".
Maybe Mufasa was actually being NICE when he called him Scar? After all, wouldn't you prefer your brother to be named after a scar rather than garbage?
@Dixie Cronin
I mean, Taka also means “To want,” as in like, ambition or something.
I need a "strange things to change" bonus round. Like scar needing sarabe to be his queen, or sarabe deciding to stay even if it kills everyone, or all the herbivores being scared of simba despite growing up with him AND timon/pumba ENFORCING that he'll never belong.
Good point
Scar wanted Sarabi in this version for two reasons: one, it was more realistic regarding lion pride dynamics and two, it gave mufasa and scar more of a backstory.
"This movie exists." Close the book, this one is already over.
ikr
1,000 sins.
I’ll take it I’m glad the next generation had more representation and next up black little mermaid lol
@@frozenlizard3370 I give it 1,000,000 sins 😒
“This movie exists”
*Adds 1000 sins, and the video ends*
“This is Disney saying, we can draw better”
Nicholas Carlin IS THAT WHAT DISNEY SAID?! HUH?!
Apparently not, since they fucked up the lions' proportions. The adult ones have way too long legs. Seriously, compare the scene at 15:38 with photos of real lions.
Alexandra Salusbury 👍🏼
And the original still looks leagues better, so you fail Disney! You fail! XD
Alexandra Salusbury not to be mean but no one asked you
My cat loves the animated lion king so much that he stands in front of the screen for the whole movie every time we watch it, but he wants nothing to do with this. He was more amused by the werewolves in twilight.😂😂😂
hahaha even your cat knew the remake was garbage 😂
8:12- it's kind of amazing how underwhelming the scene of Scar killing Mufassa was compared to the original. Scar just kinda blankly stares at him with those near lifeless eyes, ironic considering this is supposed to be like real life. It's almost too realistic to even be realistic.
“This movie exist.” The most satisfying sin ever
Couldn't agree more, one of my favorite sins but one I haven't heard outside of this video and one of his originals years ago. Could be used so much more often on atrocities like The Last Airbender or Justice League
this movie is one huge bag of nope. and really this live movie was probably a test to see if people would like it and make another one.
Total waste of 💰
Olle Selin to us, yes, to Disney, no
Every thing is wrong about the movie if u play orginal side by side with this one they would not sync up at all that's why isaid he'll nocwyen isaw trailer just all wrong and something no one asked for along with the other shitty remakes
Did anyone actually get really mad that Be Prepared wasn’t really even a song? It’s my favorite song from the movie and I was TICKED that they made it more of a monologue.
Lol same, like Scar didnt have his sinister singing voice in this movie so I was mad cause that was my favorite song too
AGAGHHHH I KNOWWW
I made a comment on this (wasn’t trying to copy you) voicing my opinion but I’m too lazy to copy it here so :p
They probably cut it down for that stupid Spirit song.
I'm insanely pissed at the neutering of the best Disney villain song. Jeremy Irons THREW OUT HIS VOICE literally DAMAGED HIS VOCAL CHORDS singing Be Prepared and THIS is how they pay tribute??? The disrespect.
Joyce K THAT’S WHAT I SAID
Fun fact: scar isn’t his real name, his real name was Taka, which means “dirt” or “trash” when he got the scar his name was changed, when I learned this I felt scars anger and he became my first favorite character once again.
Also Mufasa means “king”
dID yoU kNoW taka also means hawk in japanese? 😄
@@mahuarangorath2423
CoOl
Yeah Taka means garbage in Swahili, which makes the nickname both worse and better I guess
@@mahuarangorath2423 OMG THATS SO COOL OMG I AM TOTALLY NOT SARCASTIC OMG THAT IS SO COOL
Well, I thought scar was a stupid name...
So, on the Scar’s real name thing: his parents named him “Taka”, which means “Waste” or “Trash”. He later got nicknamed Scar due to getting his scar in a fight.
I think Mufasa’s name meant king, so yeah... they named their kids King and Waste. I wonder who the favorite was? 🤔
Scar was the favorite. Totally, for sure. 🤣
Why does everyone keep saying this? Taka was from a non canon book. We still don’t know how scar got his name.
CinemaSins: "This movie exists"
Let's face it, every one of these live action Disney remakes should get this sin.
And last I checked, almost all of them did.
and they all have
I'm sure one has to be good... if not to you, then to someone else. I enjoyed this remake.
@@RosheenQuynh Jungle Book is one that was okay. The only one so far. Mulan seems to adapt the original chinese source material instead of the animation one. So there is hope that it might be good.
@@KhanMann66 Yeah, the Jungle Book one is the only good they did in recent memory. Others are passably at best but totally unnecessary.
This is the closest I'm ever coming to watching this remake.
Me too. Waste of time.
Yup
You didn't miss much
Same here. Disney is going to the well one to many times.
It isn't good
“This movie exists”
1 sin.
1 sin? Only 1. Really?
No no no no. We can’t have that. The fact this movie exists means the sin counter should be...
*OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Huhu i see what ya did there
@2023 Brayden Langford how about you do what you suggested, you rude pos?
Ahhh ab old meme
You deserve 20 sins just for making that joke
@@ArtisticallySpoken gladly
"You'd think all that horrible stuff with scar would dull Nala's horny, but it hasn't."
Nah, considering Scar is apparently the only male Lion in that place that we see obvious, if anything she's been pissed off because she hasn't gotten laid and no fancy suitors for her, so seeing Simba was like wishing Santa for a new (boy) toy.
Good thing that they didn’t add that delete scene: Scar goes wild (if you know what I mean 😏😢)
@@yoshi_chuck05 I think I remember a cut scene from the cartoon Lion King where Scar was overly flirty with Simba's mother, to no success. As if implying he tried hard to solve that.
@@JayHog1992 Nope, that was Nala, not Sarabi
@@Aimi_Kaneko Ah. That's just creepier then.
The biggest sin is that "Be Prepared", one of the GREATEST Disney songs ever, was reduced to... that.
Yup. My fave song in the original, I was looking forward to it in this one. Buuuuuuuut....
Yup!! It's disappointing. Such a missed opportunity
Let's be honest, all songs were massacred to some extent.
@Juan Cortez Muro This isn't instagram, fuck off with that self-promotion.
While I did like the new lyrics at first the song just skips to the final chorus which makes no sense. HOW do you take one of Disney's most BELOVED villain songs and make it half the length? How does that even work?
"this is our little secret."
"uncles."
nooooooooooo i cant breathe
It took me two seconds after I heard that sin and I paused it, scoffed with a "Oh my God." and laughed.
I fucking love CinemaSins more and more lmao.
it took me out😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣
It had me dying
Hot
TheWOOFinator1337 hahaha that’s exactly what happened with me as well
Moonlight is actually pretty bright, and that's also a lion, so that night vision doubles the ability to see his own reflection.
I never knew I wanted to have people speak their songs and see beloved childhood characters turned to weird uncanny valley looking animals until I saw this brilliant masterpiece.
This movie is literally just the original lion King but with zero emotion
That movie and the cartoon were ripped off from the anime kimba of the jungle. Look it up.
@@dagonvaldez2878 Yeah but The Lion King was a great movie.
Nailed it with the no emotion. Not only do many of the lines sound boring but also the CGI was a poor choice because they weren't able to convey any emotion through the faces of the animals.
i mean, it looks great.
but thats all
Nn
I can't believe that the remake got rid of the best scene in the original. "The past can hurt" scene, where Rafiki gives the lesson of the movie; that the best thing to do is to learn from your past mistakes and not just sit around and do nothing. Yeah, this remake is the inferior version...
IKR? I was waiting for that scene!
My favourite bit! And the dramatic music as he runs home :(
Goes against Disney's new narrative, they need shortsighted individuals who don't learn from their mistakes or the mistakes of others so they can keep repackaging trash as original, quality content and have those same individuals eat it up and ask for more.
@@ALG2691 Fucking hell man, your words are absolutely brutal and the worst part is that they are completely correct...
I just wanted to see simba get hit upside the head in real life CGI
"Aslan?!"
First of all, how dare you.
Aslan looked WAY more realistic than any of the lions in this movie
When this came out, I watched sooooo many videos just ripping this movie apart and quite a few of them at the very least mentioned if not full on discuss how emotions on a cgi lion worked way better on Aslan than in this movie
Well yes, but Mufasa's appearance in the scene where Jeremy makes that comment looks almost exactly like a scene from the 2005 Lion/Witch/Wardrobe movie.
Well in that particular scene it did look like aslan bruh
The fact that the chronicles of Narnia movies message to get more expression out of the animals than in this movie, is just hilarious to me.
It’s not that he looked more realistic, it’s that Aslan could emote better than the animals in this movie because the creators of narnia weren’t so obsessed with realism. The animals in this remake look realistic yet emotionally stunted.
"I'm alive right now in 2019 and the world is f*king on fire". Oh boy are you in for a surprise.
This movie is basically the “can I copy your homework?” meme come to life.
No it's like "Im gonna copy my own homework, and tho its completely pointless it gets more attention"
It’s Funny because it’s a copy of a copy 😂
Bombastic AR lol
@@snegyrys9149 the original is better though
@Juan Cortez Muro This isn't Instagram, fuck off with that self-promotion.
“Lions, attack!” Makes me cringe so hard and I have no idea why
They added a rather strange female-empowerment subplot into the film which was absent in the original, with both the matriarchal lion and hyena suddenly having much bigger roles. I think it wasn't really necessary, given that the Lion King 2 centers around a female lion as the protagonist and the themes would have fit much better than in Hamlet with Big Cats.
maybe because it goes with "avengers assemble"....
@@sierrafaith403 true that.... this should have been a lesson
That, and the line " Are you with me, Lions?" are without a doubt the cheesiest lines in this remake. Seriously, when Beyonce said those lines, I thought I was watching an episode of freaking Power Rangers for a second!
It feels way to cliche. Gives off too much of a “children’s movie” vibe. It feels like it came right out of an animated superhero movie with the target audience of elementary kids.
Director: Should we create an animated or live-action movie?
Disney: Yes.
Imagine if they did a live action remake of finding nemo...
With humans!
OH GOD *EUGH*
I FEEL LIKE I'M ABOUT TO-
*PUKES*
Please don't give them ideas
*Finding Nemo Disney on Ice*
Okay, but that's actually hilarious to imagine bc how terrible it sounds (so long as it never actually happens).
It's a Pixar movie, Pixar would never dare to make a live action adaptation of their movies, it's pointless and many of their movies don't really work in live action especially Finding Nemo, Toy Story and Ratatouille, imagine those movies in live action
Should’ve been an extra sin for the delivery of “long live the king” being soooo much weaker than the original.
He could have commented on it being "shouty" too XD
Agree
Jeremy Irons managing to say something softer and slower and yet stronger and more punchy at the same.
That entire scene is boring and flat
We gonna talk about how Scar straight up punches Mufasa in the face?
I completely forgot this movie even existed and came out in 2019
True, the rest of us are still trying to forget that it even exists!😅😉
I think You have Alzheimer.
Just Some Guy without a Mustache I feel you. I saw this movie (against my will) and forgot about it
@@rodrigosilv30 or just a lack of interest for yet another Disney remake
You're lucky. I wish I could forget this movie exists
I'm 99% sure Zazu is the sole inspiration for the entirety of CinemaSins.
Worst part of this movie: They cut out most of “Be Prepared”.
8:12 in the OG scar whispered this then tore Mufasas' arms off the cliff.
NOW he full on yells it, then straight BITCH SLAPS HIM.
+10 Sins!
I think they were trying too hard to make it feel more "extreme" this time around lmao
I much preferred the original where Scar stabs his claws into Mufasa, the soft whisper into Mufasas ear “...long live the king...” as he looks his writhing brother and throws him off the ledge
I personally think that the new version also doesn’t really fit his character.
Tho OG establishes that Mufasa got the brawns while Scar got the brains, which is why Scar comes up with the plan with the Wildebeests to trample him to death. If he tried to fight Mufasa, he’d get his ass beat hard. That’s carried even more so when his claws stuck in Mufasa’s on the cliff. He’s proud of himself. His plan worked. And he’s gonna let Mufasa know as he slowly says, “Long.. live.. the King.” His brother looks at him, with horror in his eyes as he realizes what he’s about to do as Scar lets him fall to his death.
In the new version, Scar just bitch slaps him off the cliff AND his delivery is so fast we don’t see Mufasa’s reaction as he falls to death(which is ultimately fine since none of the characters have any sort of facial expressions at all).
One issue, aside from many, I have with these Disney remakes is that they make such tiny and small changes to certain scenes that you think wouldn’t be noticeable, but ultimately make those scenes not hit nearly as hard as they should. They lack the nuance that made the originals classics.
yes its super unsatisfying
I like this remake, a lot more then most. but I will admit the other scar was better
*"This movie exists"*
***furiously smashes that like button***
I think he said that for every "live action remake" so far and I love it.
I expected this to be the top comment when I scrolled down and was not disappointed.
Lion king: exists
Cinema sins: hits the sin button
yeah, i don't get it, what the fuck is Disney Studios thinking, so glad i don't have Disney+, i wish i could smack the shit outta the corporate douche-bag that green lighted this trashcan fire of a remake.
_right??_
3:49 - When CinemaSins called out a making of a live-action Bug’s Life.
Is it just me or does James Earl Jones sound emotionless in this movie vs the original 🤨
he's old and even he hated it.
Admit it everyone:
You were all looking forward to Be Prepared...
And were severely disappointed.....
Extremely disappointed
Yeah, I was. cuz it's like the best song in the movie, and it's done so badly in the remake!
Blame the people that complained when they found out that it wasn't going to be in the movie at all.
You are correct
Disney actually said it wasn't gonna be put in, but ig it was even though it was so flat and uninspiring.

What's after Bugs life and Nemo live remakes I wonder.. Cars???
@@robertagu5533 Dont send us down that path.
_Cars_ lmao. THAT would be freaky.
Although if they remade it with real cars and just had their characters transmitted to human drivers, I feel like that could actually be cool
I can see it now "cars" is gonna be the new disney transformer movie
I love how so many of the sins in this movie were actual sins and not just poking fun at this being the remake. It's like he's using this live action version as a second look at the overall movie in general, to pick up more sins he missed the first time around XD
When you called Mufasa ‘Aslan’, I LITERALLY SQUEALED!!!
You didn’t give “Be Prepared” enough sins.
There isn’t enough sins for that shit show
The Independent And the worst in the remake, along with ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight?’.

It was automatic sin when Jeremy Irons wasn’t voicing scar
Right
They didn't ask him to return because they wanted all the lions to be voiced by black people. I guess.
Cintrón Productions lmao
As if it would even manage to make this garbage fire movie better. But still a fair sin.
@@cintronproductions9430 I don't get as to why they thought that would work. The original was an animated movie involving talking animals in Africa where no humans appear at all and the actors gave vocal performances for their characters, not acting on a set like you would in live action. The original cast had a mix of white and black actors and nobody made a big deal about actors like Moria Kelly, Matthew Broderick, and James Earl Jones playing lions that live in the same environment. The directors picked those actors because they thought that they were the right choice for the characters they wanted them to be portrayed. They were voice acting, so race didn't matter in that case, so why did they do this attempt here? It failed because everyone felt miscast.
Also, when Beyoncé is singing as Nala, all I can hear is Beyoncé singing. It's not Nala. I don't know if Beyoncé's voice is too distinct to pass off for a different character or she just struggled to get into character, but whatever it was really showed here.
This is the best, most honest video I think Cinemasins has ever done! Good work!!! :)
You forgot to sin the fact that “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” is played during the day!

I had to pause the video and just laugh for a solid minute. That shit was so dark and so out of nowhere for only being one word.
Thats the reason the LGBT complained back in the 90s. They felt Jeremy Irons portrayal was too British gay and swishy. There were a lot of negative coded play on words screaming that Scar was a negative gay stereotype. So when the direct to video sequel came out they gave Scar a wife and daughter. And Irons was not asked back for the remake.
I love how whenever he sings you can see that he sang more of the song but it always cuts him off
Honestly, this just makes me want to watch the original.
Scar was a nickname that he gave himself after he got his scar. His name is actually Taka.
Which, in Swahili, either means "Want" or "Garbage." Damn, their parents were horrible

I watched this in the theaters when I was on vacation with my Mom and brother in North Carolina, and I thought it was bad. Until the next day, when my aunt ordered tickets for the movie for all of us to do a family outing seeing this movie. So I had to watch it TWICE, while also getting an African history lesson IN the theaters. Not only that, I had to watch it a THIRD time, when my Dad wanted to see the movie when we returned home. Point is, by the 3rd time, I legit could predict everything and I had to keep plugging my ears, shutting my eyes, and/or going to the bathroom to escape very often.
for someone who hates musicals, jeremy sang a lot of sins didn’t he?
Probably so the video doesn't get pulled for using the real songs
He actually DOES like musicals. He’s just sarcastic!
The line: “Long live the king,” the way Scar said it in this version isn’t as good as the original. It doesn’t sound evil enough.
In the original that lines delivery was triumphant yet dripping with malice. They really butchered it.
But Jeremy Irons was too white to be in the remake
exactly! I thought I was the only one who was really disappointed with this. it changed from _"Long, live, the _*_king..."_* and Scar throwing his brother off the mountainside, to "Long, live, THE KING!" and Scar..... slapping Mufasa away from him?

@@RecoveringChristian he is not even talking about that
Imagine what they'd do to Zira's lullaby
God it would be awful
I cringed on how Scar said "Long Live the King" in this film
We just not going to talk about how his college girlfriend probably went though something truly......exciting
9:10 hahahahah 2020 goes brrr brrrr
I was begging for the “This movie exists” sin and y’all came through
Even James Earl Jones' voice is much more dull in this remake. It's like he knew it was destined for failure.
@@sierrafaith403 I hope that's what he did
Sierra Faith I hope he did that. James Earl Jones is too good for this abomination. Let him retire in peace.
He was in his 80s, would you want to sit in a recording booth for hours on end at 80 years old?
@@sierrafaith403 Not defending anything but as someone whose grandfather is 88 years old. People that old can't do much and considering how much it sounds like poor old Earl was struggling through his lines, I don't doubt he was any different.
James Earl Jones is old as hell. Even in rogue one his VA was diminished.
Live that meerkat manor reference. That was my shit when I was like 7-12
Same
Same here!

Scars “real” name is “Taka” (I think) it was mentioned in one of the books, he changed his name when he got the scar because he was “overly dramatic “
Yeah, so that thing about “Scar” being a derogatory nickname isn’t even worse than his actual name, Taka, which literally translates to Garbage
That right there is a real, dedicated fan
Where did you hear that? Was the Lion King a book before becoming a movie, or was that some director comment?
kyuubinaruto17 my assumption is lots and lots of research. My sister is a die hard fan of TLK, and she looked all of this up
@@kyuubinaruto17 the lion guard TV show explains alot about it. And sometime around the first movie, there was some sort of content released that explained things that happened before the events of the movie
kyuubinaruto17 From an older book called A tale of Two Brothers
You can practically hear James Earl Jones in the recording booth questioning why the hell he has to say these lines again when he got it right the first time around. He has little to no emotion in his voice compared to the original. He sounds tired.
Sierra Faith
..I’m pretty sure it’s because he’s gotten old, but I’m not sure. I’m not James Earl Jones.
Sierra Faith
You have a point.
I mean, the Star Wars franchise dragged him back briefly, and he sounded tired there too
Dixie Cronin But he actually tried in what they brought him back for. Rebels was my favorite show as a kid, and I remember how awesome that voice was compared to Matt Sloan’s in the LEGO parodies. I also saw Rogue One in theaters, and he was absolutely incredible. What he was brought back was something he wanted to try, and he didn’t want to try in this movie.
You have a point, but I would credit that to his age. He was already old in the original.
This "new version" of Be Prepared should be counted as 100 sins
Yes, Disney, I won't fucking forgive you for dishonoring this song
Ps: 7:56 read the books, Scar's real name is Taka
and he got the scar from a cobra, shown in The Lion Guard
7:52
Scar was originally called Taka, which I believe means Trash in Swahili. I’d certainly take Scar as a nickname over Trash as my actual name
Aladdin 2019= this movie exists
Lion king 2019= this movie also exists
m jefferson and all the voices sound the same, emotionless and mono toned lol.
Exists*

CinemaSins: Dog pussy and the Trump 2019 - Sigh
CinemaSins: Mulan 2019 - ??? (Honestly I have no idea how that remake will do when it comes out)
Dumbo 2019 = cinemasins didn't said this movie exist .
This shitty profile picture also exists ding
The Be prepared scene was one my favorite parts of the original, and they completely butchered it the new remake! It just lacked that menacing evil tone of how scar was in the original. Idk I just felt rushed to me like the rest of this movie was.
I agree
Thank you. I also hate how it was cut in half and they didn’t do the full song
Thank you for somebody noticing pluses entire movie is terrible except 1 only one scene actually no I take that back now
Totally agree
Totally agree
I miss Be Prepared, although I do like the new Shenzi. She has a lot more power and strength than in the original.
8:00 First published by Grolier Books back in 1994, the official release includes a story called A Tale of Two Brothers, which explores the life of a much younger Mufasa and Scar. Of course, Scar wasn't known as Scar back then, and instead, he went by the name Taka.
The lack of emotion on the animals faces ruined just about every scene
Well, at least Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa and the hyenas were great, right?
BROTHER
Exactly. It looked great and realistic which was its downfall. None of the characters were animated enough for their lines. Also they cut out some of the best parts of the original movie. Overall pretty boring, better to just watch the first one.
A lot of the voice acting was lackluster too. For example, I love James Earl Jones, but he didn't sound like he had the right feelings in certain scenes.
@@randomnum111 N O O O O
God. You can hear how tired James Earl Jones is as he's delivering his lines.
He doesn't sound like Simba's father, he sounds like his grandfather
The legend is 88 years old! He's allowed to be tired after such a distinguished and lengthy career.
@@KareemHarper true, though the fact he has to compete with his own younger performance makes it too obvious and further shows Disney was only thinking "if we get the original voice of Mufasa, no one will complain. Who cares if he sounds too old now. No one will notice".
Yeah, Disney. We noticed. Ya wanna know how? WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL MOVIE!
That was one thing I noticed immediately. James just sounded so bored, he barely emoted and literally sounded like he was just flatly reading the lines out.
They all did... Pumbaa and Timon's actors were the only ones that actually attempted to interject any personality into the characters they were playing.
@@KareemHarper Umm, no. Christopher Plummer is 89 years old and is still acting his butt off in movies like All the Money in the World and most recently, Knives Out, so age should not excuse acting ability.
@@Lauren_210 this was also james last role he retired after this flim
Hopefully Pixar have a veto on “live action” remakes of their films!
Had a few really odd & just bad ads during this & kept expecting u (Jeremy) 2 jump in & point out just how dumb they were lol! 😂 ❤🇦🇺
The voice acting doesn’t seem as passionate as the original.
That is what happens when all your actors in the original completely 100% nail their parts. Then some company, lets say for example Disney, is all like "Lets do it all again, just umm somehow better than the people who did it perfect before you. Your motivation is umm something about the best whatever movie because we probably wont try to remake in again in the future and tell those actors the same thing we are telling you.... Umm make us money, er I mean try....to .... do..... better...... than.... the....original.....perfection?"
Dan Christmas let’s hope that never happens. It’s possible because they did it to The Lion King.
Dan Christmas a little extreme but I’m in! I would’ve just put a severed horse head in their bed.
I prefer the animated version I grew up with not this.
@Dan Christmas yup
The whole movies was a table read . No tone , feelings , just straight reading from the script .
and if you see the behind the scenes--at least what i have glimpsed--that seems to be pretty close to how they actually did it, too...
maybe they should have had blake and gwen play simba and nala

Man dude sometimes you spurise me and start laughing hard, thanks dude.
