@@SirStanleytheStumblerwere there 2 sequels?! Man, I am so happy that my parents didn't show me these kind of unwanted and flopped sequels when I was a kid. Unfortunately nowadays I can't avoid them, because every franchise I made my personality around got floppy sequels, like Bayverse Transformers, Star Wars, whatever that American Taxi-ripoff was called, even the Need For Speed that I didn't like got some. At least back then they were enjoyable, now these flops are usually just waste your time
I was expecting Lion King 2: Simbas Pride, but you went to the DEEP deep end of The straight to video Disney ventures. I await the sins for the others Also bro, "Wolverhog" was RIGHT THERE!
People can say what they will about this movie, but I for one found it interesting to hear the main TLK story from Timon and Pumbaa's perspectives. Including Timon and Pumbaa's origins.
I hope you do Simba's Pride next. The Lion King was always popular but I'd never have imagined in 1994 that we're about to have a 5th movie released, especially 30 years after the first one.
I saw this movie (and liked it) before I knew she also voiced Marge, and I haven't watched The Simpsons much, so I think of it as the other way around.
WOW, you actually did TLK 1½? Amazing! This one was my childhood and loved it as much as the OG one! Timon and Pumbaa are the best duo! Also, funny thing i just came back from seeing the Mufasa prequel and it didn't really do it for me.... But this one i truly love!
Missed Sin: Timon and Pumbaa messed up “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King”, the day after “The Circle of Life”, when Simba was just born. Does that mean Simba was only one day old when he sang that song?
I just realized… I had a ton of direct-to-dvd sequels as a kid. This one, Aladdin, beauty and the beast and a bunch of others 😅 I never realized they were so small but we never went to the movies so I didn’t know any better. Also as a kid I LOVED Timon and Pumbaa and this movie was one of my favourites, especially the family of meerkats.
I don’t think anyone from CinemaSins is gonna read this or will care but I’m actually really glad to see this video, because (and this is a very unpopular opinion) as I’ve gotten older, this has become the only Lion King movie that I’ve gone back and rewatched multiple times. It’s probably my own nostalgia bias, but I legit love the humor in this film more than any of the other Lion King films and I think it’s because I hold comedies in higher regard, as well as animated comedies. I’m just glad to see this film get more attention, it almost feels like validation for my childhood. Would you guys ever do a video for Bambi 2? That’s another personal favorite of mine, and the original Bambi is one of my favorites as well. I think Bambi 1+2, Winnie-the-Pooh, Lady & The Tramp, the cartoon of Charlotte’s Web, they’re the reason why 2D animation always make me feel good, whereas the Pixar stuff leaves me feeling cold as I get older. I have a lot of unpopular opinions, but I don’t really give a sh*t. I know Aaron Dicer is gonna dislike this comment, but for me, hand-drawn animation is always gonna be timeless. Sorry but not sorry
3 things 1I love this movie 2 the songs are awesome and 3 Lin Manuel Miranda has said he wants to do a live action version of this movie so your timing is perfect
Brought to you by “mufasa the lion king” in theaters this weekend & “sonic the hedgehog 3” featuring 2 bonus end credit scenes in theaters also this weekend
Your assertion that this is like Deadpool is SO true. Especially given one plan for Deadpool 3 was to retcon Wade into past MCU movies. This is Deadpool before Deadpool. Can you imagine the film where DP meets T&P?
I'm gonna be that guy and say that The Lion King is not actually based on Hamlet. There's an interview with crew members from the production team where they admit they just made the movie and then realized that it was very similar to Hamlet only after someone else pointed it out
Thank you for saying something, I assumed it was based on Hamlet although I've never seen or read Hamlet so I might have noticed the differences if I had. Ella Enchanted and Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian also have an orphaned prince with an evil uncle.
The continuity issue that really ticked me is that they made Timon meet Rafiki years earlier, when he clearly asked in the first movie, “Whose the monkey?” Like we’d forget that happened.
Lion King 1 1/2? This is one of my favorite movies! It held the position as my favorite movie up until 2023. Now The Super Mario Bros. Movie is number one, but I still dig this film. Seeing Timon and Pumbaa take on a Cinemasins-esque role of commenting over the movie is fun. Your own witty jabs on Lion King 1 1/2 are also fun to hear. I'm glad you guys got to this one.
And for those of us that watched Lion King 2, (great soundtrack), Timon and Pumbaa moved to Pride Rock to help Simba with the kingdom. There was never a mention of the other meerkats at the oasis in that movie.
(whispers) I actually liked this better than the original because it was so meta and featured my favorite characters from the original (aka the comic relief)
Just a fun fact: in the Hungarian dub of the film, Timoon sings at the beginning "Ah lasagna, Cheesy lasagna" which, after hearing the original dub fits better on the intro of the Lion King. In my opinion.
I will NEVER forgive you for "Hawktua my tatas"! It will live rent-free, without invitation or consent, in my head until the day I finally rest in my grave.
I liked this movie more than Lion King. It's just really funny. Also my mom and I quote "It's kind of hard to think with all this music!" Whenever music is playing and we're trying to think. However you have a good point about Timon's mom taking years to find him.
Missed sin for the fact that the “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” apparently took place literally the day after Simba was shown to the animals. That had to have taken place a longer time later. 🛎️
The outtake: Stop it, you're not singing while I'm around' should be used in every movie with singing in it. Especially if you sin Secret of NIMH 2. (any chance of sinning the original?)
If I played a drinking game every time Cinema Sins and Pitch Meetings used their catch phrases, I'd be hammered by the end of both videos. With Pitch Meetings, it would be a good kind of hammered.
3:27 As a kid of the 2000s, I always assumed the record scratch sound effect (well, the more buzzy-sounding ones, anyway) was meant to be a sped-up fart noise.
Are you sure it didn't have a theater release in North America? I saw it at the St. Augustine IMAX a billion years ago and I thought it was a first run thing.

a BANGER
It is not. Also, "tunna."
My high school band did the soundtrack CD version and that drum cadence was awesome! 😂
Yes it is!!
Quick before the hyenas comeeee
They’re finally sinning a direct to dvd Disney sequel.
Yeah, about time!
Some things were to sinful they had to level up before they could take it on
Aladdin 3 please. Oh wait is it on DVD?.... YES! Aladdin 3 please.

Exactly 😂
I prefer the original origin

If Rafiki was in Timon's origin, why did he ask "Who's the monkey?"
The fact that this is the only lion king tape on my shelf makes me feel... I don't know how to feel
Same, although I say ita a good sequel
@@twinphalanx4465agreed. At the time I thought it was pretty clever 🤷🏽

The Lion King was always popular but I'd never have imagined in 1994 that we're about to have a 5th movie released, especially 30 years after the first one.
The Original made over 300 million it would be MORE surprising if they did not make more films
I like how Timon's mum is voiced by Julie Kavner aka Marge Simpson

That’s funny. I’ve never noticed that. They would’ve had to live in that rock cave for at least a year for the timeline to match up
nobody gonna talk about the quality of the intros to cinamasins videos? I remember when it was just comic sans and now it's in 3d! well done😎.

Still better than Disney's live action remake of Lion King and Mufasa.
At least the live-action Lion King movies are in a separate universe. This one is retconning the original.
"You don't own Star Trek yet."
Please don't give them any ideas...
Please they don’t want it
Star Trek is owned by Paramount and I prefer they kept it that way. Lower Decks out of the Star Trek universe is the only thing I enjoy.
