@@ALF_Films You can't just make up a back story like that. Especially if it involves birthmarks or anything else that isn't easily changed on a character. it doesn't add to the story, it only proves a second one was Made for money.
Could've taken a sin off for the "Gently now, you just want to kiss the ground. Just a little peck. A smooch, like you're kissing your sister" *proceeds to plow the nose of the plane in to the ground.* That joke went over kids' heads. But I laugh every time.
That part killed me. Lol

16:09 Alex actually recognizes Marty in the crowd of zebras not coz he was the only one turned around, but coz he sees the bite mark on his butt that he made in the previous movie.
I love the Madagascar trilogy and the spinoffs. The Penguins getting their own movie was a good idea, at least they aren't annoying like most sidekick characters.

Something that always bugged me about this movie that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned in the video. What do the lions eat? That was a major plot point in the first one, but here they just gloss over them living alongside all the herbivores.

@@rodscarbrough2337 In Zootopia the carnivores eat bugs and fish, they're not sapient and a fish shop is briefly seen in the Try Everything scene. But in this movie it's not explained what the lions eat and Zuba even says "This watering hole already has enough mouths to feed", and I doubt he was JUST referring to all the lions, clearly he meant all the herbivores too.
Whats with the dreamworks trope of interspecies romance. Cute with giraffe and hippo but with hypothetical man and dog not so much?

I actually liked the Twin Tower derail since this clearly has Alex as a cub before 2001. Good detail
or simply madagascar is set in a universe there osama bin laden never borned and al qaeda never existed.
14:10 - The zebra stripes are technically identical if you look at them, which should technically be a sin on its own since zebra stripe patterns are suppose to be unique to each zebra
And if Alex found Marty in a sea if zebras how did he not know that that random zebra wasn't marty
@@glamrockbonnie5983 It's shown at the end of the movie that he identified Marty because his butt was facing him and he could see the bite scar from the first movie. (This scar is not visible in any other scene, which should be a sin.)

The Penguins were the best part of that entire franchise, and I even named some of my pets after them...
But sure, just goofy sidekicks. Not like they were *_the only characters_* keeping the movie from turning into a 2 hour marathon of hippo butts and lions with hair gel.
That single sin is the reason I clicked off the video and only came back now.

"I Like To Move It, Move It" is such a fun and memorable song for Madagascar, but "Chunky" is stealing the show that I think Moto Moto likes you.
I always enjoyed the third one more but I still think the second one was fucking hilarious, fun and better than the first, Alec Baldwin wasnt the best villain but overall the movie has some creative moments and was a fun idea the location of Africa, and the whole scenes with the old lady, Moto moto and the monkeys & penguins interactions were absolutely hysterical😂😂

Never saw the movie, But I had a nice little giggle fit at "So me and the other lions were talking, and we were wondering when you were gonna banish your son" This is the kind of comedy that comes from these situations, not the butts

The Penguins carried so much of this film that they even got their own spin off a few years later.

So, i feel i oughta mention the poacher scene: So, the rope was never thrown that far. It was Alex (Alakay) just chasing that butterfly to the fence. The rope WAS put past the fence, but only a believable distance. BUUUUUUUT, the sin is instead "How did these Poachers know they'd catch a lion anywhere CLOSE to that fence?"
Also don't these parks have guards or something specifically to look out for poachers? So how would they even get the rope in there without getting caught?
@@tanandalynch9441 Most wildlife reserves in Africa are thousands of acres - tens to hundreds of thousands, even. They can't keep their eyes on every part of them. Sneakier poachers do end up getting through all the time, unfortunately.
Alex identifies Marty in the sea of Zebras because he has the scar on his butt from when he bit him in the first movie. They even show it right at the end.
Alex is still a zebrist at the end
I just want to say The Penguins of Madagascar is amazing and the best thing to come from this trilogy of films.

I like that Madagascar was made to try and copy what Disney was planning to do with “The Wild”, so they made a rushed and cheap original movie in Madagascar 1, which had a terrible and shambled together story and character design, but then Madagascar did great, and The Wild bombed, and Dreamworks was like “Damn, I guess we’re sticking with this lol”

@@MrGabeanator I honest like it better than Madagascar, but it’s ironic that Dreamworks did the same thing they did with Antz, in getting wind of a Disney/Pixar movie when it’s in early development, and made a rushed lookalike to capitalize on Disney/Pixar’s success, the ironic part is that with Madagascar and The Wild, Madagascar did way better than the better movie that it copied.
What the HELL I never even HEARD of "The Wild". I'm looking at pictures now and I don't even think I remember seeing a poster for it anywhere lol.

Saw this in theaters with my family. When Nana starts beating up Makunga a group of girls(youngest about 14) behind us yelled "whooped that a** Grandma!!!" Then during the "Move It" Song they got up dancing and being loud. I hastily left the theater, running past me was one of the girls to an employee, my brother informed me that while dancing one of the girls slipped, fell down the stairs and possibly broke their ankle/leg/foot.
It's always nice to hear a happy ending.

I'm sorry, but the plane crash scene at the beginning is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in a kid's movie. Also, "Joe reverses the Volcano" was just "chef's kiss".

The "you're just so darn ugly" is from Planet of the Apes. You didn't mention, surprisingly, so just wanted to mention it which is why I laughed.
A lot of this movie's plot could have been reduced or not event an issue if communication had occurred prior. Also I actually liked the return of the old lady.

I have to say I enjoyed this movie, and I believe it to be more memorable than the first.
OMG the “love isn’t going to make that 4-foot long giraffe penis any smaller” line made me burst out laughing!! 🤣

The thrust levers for the engines are numbered on the flight deck from left to right (as you would read Latin lettered script), and so the engines are also numbered accordingly. Leftmost engine is no. 1, and you make your way to the right with the numbers for the engines.
If you came to a Madagascar for plot you came to the wrong movie. XD it’s just visual gags, slapstick, fart jokes and what have you. And for how many unfunny movies that do this, I think the Madagascar Trilogy actually did quite the good job. The 3rd was my favorite. And I just think they improved every movie. But that’s just me.

Finding Dory was glorious and it's a mortal sin to speak ill of it! Also, Finding Dory acts like more of a prequel to Finding Nemo than its own spin off. It ties both movies together perfectly making them more like one coherent story.

The fact the Marty’s friends were flipping out over being sent back to Africa and to the wild because, they were so use being in captivity. Honestly, this movie franchise could be used as google commentary on how zoos effect animals.
