A DLC should not be getting game of the year, a complete narrative or not is irrelevant to its eligibility. There are other games that deserve recognition as well.
No just no what makes it invaded is the fact that without elden ring shadow of the erdtree its just incomplete it could still stand on its own put not as well as it does without the company of elden ring its meant to accompany elden ring its a sub-plot it like me saying hey this game and mini story together should be game of the year at the same time put should be considered as seperate it cheapens the achievement of being game of the year where elden ring already got game of the year basically you want a game to be game of the year for 2022 and 2024 to be the same game which wouldn't make sense as elden ring got drop in 2022 not 2024 the shadow of the erdtree is a condiment to elden ring not its own game if shadow of the erdtree were the sequel to elden ring with the event happening afther you became the elden lord than yes put its not the sequel its an expansion a sub-plot
