its not a miyazaki led project that alone is why i am skeptical. i serve one god and one god only and he is a squared lensed asian middle aged man by the name of Hidetaka Miyazaki. me being skeptical doesnt mean i am not open to the project lead cooking an absolute banger of an elden ring co op game. its just im not auto buying like i normally would im gonna see how it looks first. what i will say is this isnt a cash grab. it could be but any game could be, we have no reason to believe it is a cash grab currently. it appears to be the two most popular elden ring mods combined, randomizer and seamless co op. if the project is simply fromsoft capitalizing on players appetites for such a game then this will be good, so its possibly more of a cash fair trade where they make a spin off for the purpose of profit however as i said im gonna see if its good first before buying

Nightreign will be the best thing FromSoft has ever dipped their feet in. A roguelike instead of the regular stuff they’ve done. This game being completely seperate but using all assets could help people enjoy something in the universe of all of this without the suffering 😂

I believe Elden Ring is prequal to Dark Souls series. The history of Lands Between can be found in the item description of Dark Souls games, go check out Way of White Corona's from DS3 and Oolacile Township's background and architecture style from DS1. The similarity between Godwyn the Golden and Gwyn Lord of Sunlight is intricate yet somehow axiomatic.

I don’t really understand the "hate," honestly. From the information we’ve heard, this just looks promising! But since Hidetaka Miyazaki isn’t the director, people are unhappy and grumpy. I find this rather insulting, especially considering that the director of Elden Ring: Nightreign is someone who has been working with Hidetaka Miyazaki since Dark Souls 1. That alone makes him more than suitable for the role. In terms of gameplay and lore, people need to realize this will be a game focused on multiplayer, survival, and rounds. Personally, I find this absolutely amazing. Being able to play with my friends in an Elden Ring world where “everything” changes every time we start a new game is thrilling. Exploring (one of the best aspects of these games), encountering different bosses every time, discovering new bosses, it’s all so exciting. Especially knowing that, with every new game, everything will have changed. That’s essentially the cure for one of the main problems in these types of games : repetition. When you first play Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc... You experience this fabulous sensation of discovery : uncovering the world, finding secrets, new weapons, challenges in the environment or bosses, and the satisfaction of finally defeating that boss. Even after finishing the game, you almost immediately start New Game+ because you know there’s still more to discover. But after spending a significant amount of time in the game, learning all the bosses patterns, every ending, the routes, NPC questlines, and so on, it becomes plain boring. There’s no more “fun.” So, as I said, the idea of playing a Souls-like game that changes every time I start a new run, while retaining the joy of rediscovering the world again and again, is something I’m totally on board with. I also understand why some people aren’t happy. It seems they’ve taken some inspiration from battle royale games. I can’t say much since I don’t know a lot about those types of games, but overall, it’s not something I personally despise. So yeah, I’m good with it.

Don't forget that there will be a sequel. Melina is probably deliberately left ambigous for the first game.

this is good. we need fromsoftware to encourage more developers. Hiditaki Miyazaki wont be making games forever. give him the chance as president of fromsoftware to build his team into being as great as he is in developing games.

ds3 looks better than some AAA 2024 games.. no it dosent need a remaster

Short answer: No. Long answer: If From Soft themselves really feels nostalgic enough, I'd love to see a little more work on unfinished areas in existing games (Lost Izalith), or getting old games a chance to shine on new systems (say a port of armored core and kings field) - but other teams could do this - I'd rather have From Soft create new worlds, than prolonging worlds lifespans past their decay date.

No just no what makes it invaded is the fact that without elden ring shadow of the erdtree its just incomplete it could still stand on its own put not as well as it does without the company of elden ring its meant to accompany elden ring its a sub-plot it like me saying hey this game and mini story together should be game of the year at the same time put should be considered as seperate it cheapens the achievement of being game of the year where elden ring already got game of the year basically you want a game to be game of the year for 2022 and 2024 to be the same game which wouldn't make sense as elden ring got drop in 2022 not 2024 the shadow of the erdtree is a condiment to elden ring not its own game if shadow of the erdtree were the sequel to elden ring with the event happening afther you became the elden lord than yes put its not the sequel its an expansion a sub-plot
