10:13 I invaded and co-op'ed a ton back when DeSR released, and you used to not be able to skip ANY cutscene while online with other players. The functionality was just disabled if you weren't alone in your world. It was super annoying because the monk invader also had to watch the cutscene, and it was beyond tedious. It was a VERY needed patch haha
Oh wow, I don't think I knew that but it makes sense, but yeah I imagine it was still VASTLY more annoying to have to sit through Old Monk cutscene 382928 over just an occasional 10 second cutscene here and there in the rest of the game
@@BertoPlease What's funny is you'd place your coop sign, it said you were being summoned, then the old monk cutscene would jumpscare you for the 10th time that day 😭
😂 I mean obviously I got lucky with some of them, but I just tried to play the game pretty thoroughly and slowly so I didn't miss things, and played around with most items I imagine. But thank you it does take quite a bit of work 😇
In the middle of finishing your 3hr Elden Ring video and now this pops up! Keep up the good work man! I've always been interested in beta/1.00 versions of games and your videos give very cool and insightful deep dives into some great examples of those. Thank you for making these!
Pretty sure in 1.0 you could equip and unequip the ring of longevity and it would restore your HP by the 5% it was supposed to raise it by, essentially infinite heals.
No thank you 😏 I kinda enjoyed doing the serialized videos when I was going area per area in Elden Ring but admittedly it was very daunting, especially when the particular areas were extra big, and even more so when working on the full video, so I didn't mind the change of pace. I just hope I can justify serialized videos again for any of the games cause I do miss it, but I'm willing to bet DS3 or Sekiro might be appropriate for that. We shall see about BB
I’d really like to see a ps3 demons souls one. I saw another video on dark souls 1 and 2 and bloodborne, but there’s no video on demons souls ps3. I wonder if the disk version of scholar is that much different either too.
I’m not surprised the remake didn’t get as many patches as the other souls games consider the original NA version never got any, helps keep things as close to the og as possible
Well funny things is that they release another patch again obvious point that they added PS5 Pro support with new graphical mode also they add QoL like you can use mirror world and character creator with no cost now
Does updating from 1.0 to current patch just fix the luck powerlevel glitch or actually revert your character to normal / cap scaling, i.e. if you do the glitch and then update do you still keep the OP damage?
Yeah the luck will be brought down. I dont remember if to what you had prior to the glitch or to 99, but definitely not anythjng above 99, and damage wont be busted anymore
Yeah, just completely butcher everything that made the original version unique and turn it into a classic high fantasy with illithids and balrog-type demons. Yep, certainly one of remakes of all time.
It's funny because I think Demon's Souls Remake is what developers should NOT do when remaking a game. They didn't touch anything but visuals, game still plays like a PS2 title. Some would even say the new graphics ruined the classic atmosphere, which tbh I agree with. Also, the remakes of RE2 and RE4 are objectively better games than the originals. Masterpieces.

It's weird that Demon Souls started out with the ambition of being the Elder Scrolls and Elden Ring is kind of in spirit the Elder Scrolls.
