I have had this at 3 different Haitian restaurants and the only two places made the rice like this with a wonderful and fried pork called griot. Amazing food! I have ordered this dish over 100 times in just 4yrs.

I used your recipe today adding shrimp, cashews, pigeons peas & Jasmine brown rice. I also used peanut oil. I adapted the cashews from the book "Taste of Haiti" years ago. Healthy version but still authentic Haitian flavors...bonne appetite.
Next time I'll make this dish with brown basmati rice. Thanks for sharing Haitian cuisine in English.

I like how you blended the mushrooms and squeezed every bit of the juice out ! Do you save the mushrooms front there or do you throw them away. Please let me know! THX!

any grocery store or online stores UNDER SPICES
9/10 you have it at home ( simply translate it from french to english)
For example the recipe for this is readily available.
      1. Jasmine rice
      2. Maggie cubes - mushroom
      3. yellow onions
      4. Garlic cloves
      5. Green peas
      6.Bell peppers
      7. Salt & pepper
================ you should have 95% of this in your home or your local grocery store. The genius is combining the ingredients not the ingredient itself.
