I know this isn't a new video anymore but I'm just playing around with the Crystal Beast SDs and I'm not sure Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive could be summoned this way here. Crystal Beasts in your Spell/Trap zone are treated as Continuous Spells right, so you can't banish them as monsters from your field to summon Overdrive as they're not monsters at the time, right?
You're right, I'm playing it too and it says that they are considered as spell/traps, and it needs 7 crystal beast monsters. So you need 7 of them either in the field or GY
@@fusingentree3928 I can try. Ultimate Crystal Rainbow Dragon Overdrive's effect is essentially broken into three parts: The first part is his summon condition. Unlike normal Fusion monsters which are summoned by a Fusion spell or effect, Overdrive is special summoned by banishing an Ultimate Crystal monster, plus seven Crystal Beast monsters, from your field and / or graveyard. Typically you do this by banishing Rainbow Dragon and seven Crystal Beasts. The important part about this summon condition is that it requires seven Crystal Beast MONSTERS, not just Crystal Beast cards. Since Crystal Beast monsters are treated as spells when they're in your Spell/Trap zone, they can't be used for this summon when they're in that position. They must either be on your field in a monster zone, or in your graveyard. Unlike Rainbow Dragon itself, it does not need seven DIFFERENT Crystal Beasts; you can for example, banish Rainbow Dragon, and three copies of Pegasus, and then four other Crystal Beast monsters. Since you had to banish 7 Crystal Beasts to summon Overdrive, this means you'll normally have at least 7 to pick from, and you can summon up to 5 of them, since that's how many monster zones you now have free to put monsters in. This effect is pretty useful because you can use it to clear away your opponent's entire board, then summon 5 Crystal Beasts that are banished, to attack directly. Hoepfully that's helpful? Great duel and content, it was fun and that’s what it’s mean to be. Although i hate to be that guy I must point out that I don’t think you can summon Overdrive using monsters in the spell and trap zone. But still it was fun to see one deck set up a massive monster and the other set up an even bigger.
Indeed, they need to be monster on the field or in the graveyard (in the spell and trap zone they’re are counted as continuous spell cards). It was still nice to see some crystal beast action !
On the contrary, Overdrive can be summoned banishing Crystal Beasts regardless of whether they're monsters or continuous spells because the text states on the Field or Graveyard
@@Slifer29 I think you are misunderstanding, the summoning requires 'monsters' and when they are in the spell/trap zone they are treated as continuous spells. I was thinking it would be fun to watch what I like to call the ultimate starter pack battle where you choose three different starter packs and put them together to make an ultimate battle deck and the other one do the same and see who would come out on top of that
Misplay on Paul’s end. He should’ve sent cyberdarkness to the grave to special summon cyberdark end dragon. He would’ve been able to equip cyber end dragon, then active his trap and equip a 2nd cyberdark allowing him to attack twice.
True dat....alternatively, he also could've won if he had sent Cyberdark End Dragon to the GY instead of Cyber End Dragon when playing horizon, and then equip it to Cyberdarkness Dragon on its summon. With all other plays remaining the same, this would've given it enough attack points (10k) to OTK when attacking into Amber Mammoth
He did play well but in fact really by minute 16:00 onwards (I don't know when that is specifically) and Summons Ultimate Crystal Dragón Overdrive, I should use +7 Crystal Monsters... In fact he had four monsters on the field and three continuous spells (which is illegal since they would technically be spells)
for the first match you could have gone in to cyber dark end dragon to be unaffected by effects and have the protection of cyberdark inferno then activated you trap to equip end dragon with a monster then equip another monster to be able to 12000 damage
Honestly, I'm really surprised by Rainbow Bridge of the Heart. That card is crazy good going first and going second. If just we had a lv2 Crystal Beast Spright Tri CB would have been crazy. Still an interesting deck tho.
all the crystal beast support is absolutely insane. They are a bit like toons where the core of the archetype is so terrible, yet it is popular so ridiculous support cards get printed for it.
@@mistriousfrog yeah, "all of them are insane" it's a heavy statement. Turboing off Rainbow dragons is cool in a casual environment. As for a competitive standpoint maybe just Ruby and Sapphire are viable plus insane support like crystal bond, rainbow Bridge and the omni negate. They could fuction well with tri-brigades.
@@ivanmaterazzo2631 I've been playing them with Mekk Knights. Very solid and has interesting combo tools with your normal summon focused on pegasus. Crystal.Bond is basically a 1 card 2 column set up

Crystal Beasts and Cyber Dragons are some of my favourite cards, so I'm really glad to see them getting some much needed love and touch ups to bring them into the modern scene. Definitely gonna pick up both of these structure decks asap
Crystal Beasts. My favorite deck ever. I brought it to many locals back in the day. Always a joy to play back when GBs, SixSams, and the beginning of DAD. Even if they weren’t so great I just loved playing them
I wanted the crystal beasts deck before…but I really want them now! But my favorite would have to be the sacred beast structure decks. I love the shenanigans you can pull with it. Either that or the ice barrier
This is so exciting man! Crystal Beasts are one of my favorites and this deck looks incredible. Btw Paul could we get a Sacred Beats vs Crystal Beasts? That would be interesting + 3 rounds so we get to see more of the deck, please?
This new structure looks really cool and I'm looking forward to giving it a try! My favorite so far is actually the one Paul was playing; Cyber and Cyberdark are two of my favorite archetypes, so getting new support for both in one deck was pretty sweet.
@@TeamAPS Oh, Paul, I watched you do a play with Chimera and had a question about a possible combo. Can you use the effects of Cyberdark Chimera and Cyber Pharos from that deck together? Just a thought, but I don't know if the rulings allow it.

I recently bought the Crystal Beasts deck and I’m about to bought another two to complete the playable deck. But also last night I played Cyber Strike in Master Duel and I’m going to buy this deck x3 to play both 😂😂😂😂
I actually recently beat a crystal deck with a modified blue eyes deck. The guy told me blue eyes weren't good anymore, and I took that personally lol.
Love this! I love cyber strike and now we get to see for sure what's in the crystal beasts. Can't wait to get my own. Also with the Cyberdark send the keel or horn or edge instead of claw and cannon. If you had also gone into the Cyberdark end dragon then you equip with effect and with Cyberdark invasion then you would have had two attacks with a 6000 monster and would have won as well. I play Cyberdark all the time in master duel.
Hey Alec you summoned overdrive incorrectly.....it says monsters but in the spell trap zone the crystal beasts are not monsters so they could not be valid material
@@Foreleus How are you commenting 2yrs later and still giving wrong info. Go look it up on google or read the other comments. Crystal Beast's in the spell/trap zone count as continuous spells. You can't use those to summon Overdrive.
Consistency was never the decks issue. The actual issue was that the cards are terrible. Konami had a chance to make them better, but the advanced crystal beasts suck just as much, if not more.
Favorite structure deck is Dragon's Roar. It introduced my favorite monster Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, and was one of the first structures I ever got as a kid. I still have my original Red-Eyes Darkness dragon.
Hey, did anyone notice that after the negation of the Cyber dark Realm on Paul's turn, Alec started attacking? Did I miss something or was that a miss play?
Paul definitely misplayed. He had game at 2 opportunities. He could have activated Cyber Dragon Core's effect in the grave to Special Summon 1 Cyber Dragon which would have been game. Otherwise he couldve gone into CyberDark End and then used Invasion on it to get 2 atks with 6k dmg each time. Otherwise it was a very fun duel im a CyberDark/Cyberdragons main myself
Idk if you guys have done it yet. But would love to see a tournament with a decks centered around each of the summons. Fusion deck, synchro deck, xyz deck, etc
Paul: Hmmm Interesting. Lol I love this channel and the chemistry that you both have. I have liked the whole team...but you both literally nail how we all played as kids. Thank you! Pass Turn!
It's honestly pretty awesome when Konami prints new cards that give a boost to decks that used to be considered bad, like what they did with the Noes/Neo-Spacians and the Cyberdarks. I can honestly see Crystal Beasts at least getting better in the casual scene. I don't know if they could compete with more competitive decks, but at least the new support helps the deck with what it was trying to do.
Good game. Not a big fan of crystal beasts but might have to pick them up just for the staple. As far as my favorite structure deck of all time I think I'll give the award too... Rise of the True Dragons! I very much enjoyed that this deck introduced us basically a whole pseduo archetype of dragon lords that were just an archetype based on syngery of card effects that happen when they are summoned from the grave, not even sharing the same naming convention. Been having fun with these cards still today. Some runners up include Wave of Light Dinosmasher's Fury Gates of the Underworld And Fury from the Deep for an old school pick.
I just pre-ordered 3 copies of the Crystal Beast decks, it comes out here in Australia on the 29th, then I just gotta wait a week for shipping. I have always wanted to make a Crystal Beast deck, back in the old days, but it was always a bit slow and I never had the money for Rainbow Dragon back then. I'm super excited to add it to my small collection of decks I still play. I hope all the cards are added to Master Duel soon after so I can build and play it there too! Guys, I would love to see the profile for both decks used today too, to see what are the best picks in your opinions to keep, I've never had Cyber Dark's either so seeing both decks would be super interesting, but only if you guys want to i know you don't do profiles much. Either way i loved this video and I'm so glad you made it, I would likely have not known about the Crystal Beast cards otherwise, I'm so excited now!

My brother will pick up the crystal beast deck this month... As one of the last Dark world players around I just picked up the 3 structure decks once again and waiting for December for the RE dark world!
Is it me or did they cheat the win? Rainbow Dragon Override says banish monsters from Field and/or GY. CB monsters in the back don't count as monsters, the are continuous spells. Cheat or Legit?
I was the threat in the neighborhood with my crystal beasts deck back in... when was it? 2006, 2007? I don't even know! But I will always remember the day when I found a metal tin of sapphire pegasus while walking down the street of another city duting a family outing. That (plus the rainbow dragon) was the last piece I needed to ascend to lichdom so I begged them to buy it for me and even if I got 1 single copy of it, I remember my deck improved significantly after adding it to the list. The rest is history. Anyway, I FREAKING love this type of duels, can we have a best of three for the next episodes? Thank you! 🖤

13:52, why Paul, why you did not summon CyberDark End Dragon bro? 5k atk + 1k from trap and attack twice, that would be a great comeback
I've been dying for this structure to come out. I've been crystal beast since they launched
Anyone else think Alec does a great job with the crystal beast deck honestly he made some unbelievable plays this video rip pauls cam :")
@@mistriousfrog In fact, some of the earlier CBs were actually good i na vacuum, but the deck is still confined with like 4 garnets
Crystal.Bond is basically a 1 card 2 column set up
Would love to see more cyber strike 3x duels, just picked up the decks myself to get into the game and i've been having no luck beating anyone yet
Thank you so much for showing the built decks. I really like building these decks I see being played
I’m making a skateboard out of the Crimson Kings Structure deck. I enjoyed your video you did on that deck vs Fire Kings. Honestly Fire Kings was a tough second place for starting a Yugioh Card Skateboard
3 relevant handtraps in one structure... buyouts incoming
Crystal Beasts and Cyber Dragons are some of my favourite cards, so I'm really glad to see them getting some much needed love and touch ups to bring them into the modern scene. Definitely gonna pick up both of these structure decks asap
My fav structure deck of all time is probably the newer machina one it was super fun and gave my fav archtype what they always needed
Misplay from Alec at 14:18 he could have used the effects of his turtle to pass his monster in defense position to avoid damage
Idk whats more amazing, Alec summoning 5 monsters on 1 turn, or Paul summoning a 9000 monster .... still im impresed with the cristal beast deck
This new structure looks really cool and I'm looking forward to giving it a try! My favorite so far is actually the one Paul was playing; Cyber and Cyberdark are two of my favorite archetypes, so getting new support for both in one deck was pretty sweet.
Hope you enjoy it!
@@TeamAPS Oh, Paul, I watched you do a play with Chimera and had a question about a possible combo. Can you use the effects of Cyberdark Chimera and Cyber Pharos from that deck together? Just a thought, but I don't know if the rulings allow it.
I am so hyped for this deck, it’s really nice to see support for a deck one of my favorite eras of YuGiOh. Takes me back to a nostalgic day of going to a Tactical Evolution pre release tournament and everyone trying to get rainbow dragon. Seems like a lot of good cards in the deck too, the hype is real 🙏
Man this was the best duel you guys have done! These two decks are my favorites! It's like a Jesse vs Zane rematch!
I recently bought the Crystal Beasts deck and I’m about to bought another two to complete the playable deck. But also last night I played Cyber Strike in Master Duel and I’m going to buy this deck x3 to play both 😂😂😂😂
Idk if you can use them for the fusion summon of rainbow dragon from the spell and trap zone since they are continuous spells
you're right
I actually recently beat a crystal deck with a modified blue eyes deck. The guy told me blue eyes weren't good anymore, and I took that personally lol.
You guys are awesome, another duel
Those duels are always a lot of fun! I prefer the best of 3 though, it is more entertaining and gives a better idea of the decks 😃
Finally oh my God I’ve been asking for this type of content forever. Thank you this was a great video
Sometimes I think im bad at deck building. Then I watch aps and feel better 😜😜
Okay, PHEW...Good to see all the main staples are still in the TCG structure deck! (Ash, D-Shifter and Belle)
It's thanks to you guys I decided to start learning how to play with Alecs deck from this video 😊
This duel was amazing thank you guys for such amazing content
I asked for this and it’s amazing
The background music is very nostalgic, great video.
Hey Alec you summoned overdrive incorrectly.....it says monsters but in the spell trap zone the crystal beasts are not monsters so they could not be valid material
Actually you’re wrong you can use crystal beats in the spell and trap zones for the summon.
@@Foreleus How are you commenting 2yrs later and still giving wrong info. Go look it up on google or read the other comments. Crystal Beast's in the spell/trap zone count as continuous spells. You can't use those to summon Overdrive.
The crystal beast support looks really fun, having a rainbow dragon searchable with crystal beast searchers is exactly the consistency boost it needed
Fav deck of all time is red eyes darkness dragon I hope they have a new structure deck for it eventually
The crystal beast deck looks amazing. Can’t wait for these cards to be added into Master Duel
I like that you used YuGiOh Tag Force Arc V music. Bring me lots of memories!
Loved this video. I just bought the Crystal Beast deck. Keep it up you 2. Will be waiting for more vids and a new subscription has been made 😁
Paul: Hmmm Interesting. Lol I love this channel and the chemistry that you both have. I have liked the whole team...but you both literally nail how we all played as kids. Thank you! Pass Turn!
Awesome Duel!
I got 3x Cyber Strike and 3x Crystal Beast!
So awesome Structure deck!
CBs were able to compete with meta decks before this new stuff. They can absolutely compete now.
Some runners up include
Wave of Light
Dinosmasher's Fury
Gates of the Underworld
And Fury from the Deep for an old school pick.
I like that Crystal Beasts has Ash Blossom, I don't play competitively, but I do want the card in my collection
A truly anime duel, the best moment was when cyber darkness trys to destroy overdrive but the OTK effec trigers, a truly anime moment
After only listening to GX season 2 and on in the original language, that intro was a flashbang
17:18 the perfect alignment! imagine putting fusion as a equip spell there😮
Thanks for doing what you guys do.. you guys deff need to do more of this been a long time subscriber and always enjoy your really close duels
Fun fact, cyber Dragons base cards are just models one through four in german!!!
I'm in highschool amd recently started learning German, the first thing I thought of when learning Eins, Zwei, Drei and Vier (1, 2, 3, 4) were the cyber dragon models!
It's just cyber dragon, cyber dragon 2, cyber dragon 3 and cyber dragon 4!
Casual viewer here, getting sponsored by konami seems like a big deal, grats guys!
My brother will pick up the crystal beast deck this month... As one of the last Dark world players around I just picked up the 3 structure decks once again and waiting for December for the RE dark world!
This will sell out fast. Gotta love them Hand Traps!
Is it me or did they cheat the win? Rainbow Dragon Override says banish monsters from Field and/or GY. CB monsters in the back don't count as monsters, the are continuous spells. Cheat or Legit?
I bought the Sacred Beast deck, the Cyber Dragon Deck and already pre ordered this Crystal Beast deck.
Thank you! 🖤
Hell yeah Good games you guys! I have both structures I'm trying to decide which has more interruption plays
I just bought the crsytal beast structure deck and wanted to see it in action and wow its awesome lol thanks for the lesson and video! It was awesome lol
