My favorite thing about yalls duels is seeing cards I've never seen being used before. All the staple meta cards are just sooo boring to watch.

Great video! My girlfriend and I went out and bought the Crimson Kings deck and the Fire King decks. And the Egyptian God's deck Obelisk. We are new to Yugioh and just bought our first deck about 2 days ago. We originally bought just the Obelisk and Crimson King deck but then decided to go back out and get the Slifer and Fire King decks. Better to have those two dueling each other. So my gf and I just rotate decks and it's been fun! Thanks for the great content and videos! You guys are great!
Egyptian God decks is what got me back into yugioh this past November. Maybe after 15+ years. I saw them in a local Asian toy store my gf wanted to check out. 2 months later and now I have 6 decks including crimson and I’m also done watching 5D’s. Idc about the meta. Me and my friends just wanna have fun and fire king def looks fun
@@cgt3rs446 trust me bro fire kings is a nightmare for crimson with its drills and imperms but you have a fair amount of negates opposed to fire kings you just have to hope you don’t get drolled on you’re first turn because then you basically can’t do anything

@@TurtleVr971 true but even if you pull soul you still wouldn’t get the search off of vision for crimson Gia if you don’t already have it in you’re hand plus his is a crucial piece in you’re end board with a Rda reborn if a monster in the field get destroyed

Paul easily had game if he'd searched Absolute Powerforce earlier in the duel; OR gone into Red Nova, back when he specialed the two Synkrons from the graveyard.
U have to remember they don't play comp. Also they don't do works bc to them makes the video boring

The Fire King deck is so recursive out of the box. I'd love to see another duel between these two decks, but with upgrades.
haven't watched the duel yet. My favorite is the Crimson King; i watched 5D's when it aired, and jack had one of the better arcs (until the 3rd season, and they forgot half of it.) I do have a few regrets when it comes to the deck, but I still love it.

Is the Archfiend Deck difficult to pilot? You're videos have really gotten me back into trying Yugioh and the Archfiend Dragon looks like a lot of fun to play.
APS should do deck profile / combo videos.. you both played in a way that explained the deck as you played. more content ideas on the table here. clear communication on a new deck and how the engine works is a need in the community. New players out here need that. dude at locals just got fire kings and has no idea what to do with it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! has the best foil cards of ALL TCGs. It has been that way since the beginning.
New Fire Kings actually said to Jack Atlas "There's only one King here and you're lookin' at him" and won! Not a terrible duel at all! Almost makes you wish Konami would add these guys to Master Drool. I also think a few could come to Duel Links through a universal skill without too much trouble to help bolster the sale of old Fire Kings stuff and give people who like that a new way to play it.

Fire Kings are the greatest Structure Deck of the year (Traptrix in second place). I am very excited to get 3x and play with them with some great hand traps

paul, ya shouldve summoned red supernova when you first had red rising. 3 level 2s or a level 1, 2, and 3 resonators can make it.
you even had a second chance with crimson resonator to get two level 1s and also have materials there

This was a great duel…. But am I missing something here? How was Alec able to Normal summon Ponix AND Wolfbark in the same turn towards the end of the video?

@TeamAPS I picked up three of each of both the Fire Kings and Crimson King Structure decks. I am curious as to what you both decided to use for each as in deck lists.
12:10 Fire King Island can only add monsters off of its first effect. However, summoning Ponix and Barong's effect in Standby could result in the same situation.
I’m really excited I’m gonna by 3 copies of both of these decks but I’ve been waiting too make fire king yubel for a long time
missplay using the rda effect during end phase, you could have banished your soul to protect ur resonators with which you could have made calamity.

Obligatory Rose Dragons need more support. The deck needs;
Level 4 plant/ Plant Type Rose Dragons as we only have White Rose and the Warrior Roses as Level 4's.
A handful of boss monsters that sends cards from the field or banishes from field, as cards have destruction protection.
Bigger Bosses with higher ATK to match the high level RDA and Stardust forms.
Maybe a card or two for BRD, like RDA had.
Correct me if I'm wrong but at 7:28 I believe Paul had to chain to the ponix for the trap. Ponix and Barong are both triggers in standby so the ponix can chainblock the barong

Your right Barong was chain 1, Ponix Chain 2. ✌️
Barong and Ponix must start a chain, so they cannot be in a chain block. If you play with this deck in Master Duel/Ygo PRO, you gonna see that. Neither can be a chain link 2 or more

a lvl 3 from deck and a lvl one from grave, with the lvl 8 would be a Red nova, tho red nova is seen as a anime card and thus not played or considered good
Dang how did Fire Kings win, sure they bank on RDA doing destruction but RDA is by far the better structure here if you know what you doing.
Dude what? Fire King is literally topping tournaments right now. It's probably the third or fourth best deck in the format right now, while RDA has almost zero showing in even low level regionals.
@@Medbread it’s following the trend of the ocg, it’s not 100% about who has more regional or tourney tops. Like I play RDA and I can’t attend these tourneys to show off my deck, doesn’t necessarily tell you all the info you need to know, some players of decks can’t compete or make it there to events, doesn’t mean deck is weak or strong. Also one is an anime deck, and lots of people aren’t interested in playing it or if they do play it it’s more casual or not as optimally or not their main deck. Like a one off test of deck and forget about it. Most people gravitate towards know meta and not more hidden rogue picks like RDA or even fire kings as much. Some aren’t playing it “correctly” like bystial variant which is wrong and should be pure. Rda also has a lot of destruction effects so it’s not a great matchup against fire kings I guess but from personal experience I been topping competitive locals near me with RDA. It’s really depends on a lot of factors I feel but I don’t think tournament representation necessary means something is clearly stronger than another, also these are just structure deck contents not full power either, it depends on deck composition and pilot skill as well among other things is my logic.
@lifedeather The reason why Fire King is good is because it can play through most distuption by virtue of not needing to resolve effects on the field. Add the Diabellestarr engine for crazy consistency, and it does extremely well. The TCG doesn't strictly follow OCG. When Purrely first came out, nobody in the TCG wanted to play it despite it having quite a few tops in OCG.
Nobody is going to refuse to play a good a deck just for being an "anime deck". Just look at Superheavy Samurai when it was topping. Blackwings were broken back in the day. Lunalight. Lyrilusc. Fucking Performapal Performage was so strong they had to emergency ban it. The reason why people aren't playing RDA is because, like Synchron, it has a lot of choke points that are really easy to interrupt, and it's not as consistent as most meta decks right now. It's also extremely resource intensive, needing to use the entire hand for full combo most of the time, so it's really hard to run staples and therefore really tough to play going second. Like, REALLY tough.

As someone who mostly plays magic it just feels so weird to me that you can summon Ponix off of the effect that tutored it.

I prefer Master Duel over real cards because
1. I personally would forget half the activatable effects
2. my opponent cant cheat like the FK player did twice this game
It's crazy how much smooth and organic the fire kings looks, almost "ready to enter the meta", whilst crimson king doesn't have anything to fall back on (absolute bummer)
I wonder if both decks could be combined

Fire kings is definetly a strong structure deck but I absolutely love how fun RDA/Crimson king (probably my favourite structure this year because of the new support for RDA) can be and it held up really well against the Fire king deck.
Aye bro I really agree with u on the last sentence. Me and my brother been having fun playing both decks. Me, with fire king, and him playing RDA. Both decks are really good and fun against each other going back and forth. Super awesome, also I didnt expect FK deck to top that much since I played it before it became more popular. But I knew and saw the potential of it being strong as it can loop a lot and ending combos while testing it with the new support.

Sorry for being like this, but was there a way for Alec to have a second normal summon in his last turn, because he played two normal summons, the little bird and the wolf.
Fire Kings new monsters all have a way to give a special summon
He didn’t have a way to get two normal summons, but he could have used island to pop one in hand and special summon the bird so ultimately it wouldn’t have mattered.

The thing I hate about the new yugioh these days is if you don't end on a huge board with several negates or follow up plays the deck just can't keep up. But it's great to see decks like these that don't produce giant boards can just have fun with them.
That is a funny thing just doing Crimson King x3 is you get like Hot RDA Abyss and Fiendish Chain as far as negates and nothing else (unless I missing something in the structure deck)!
I honestly hate the more recent decks, where it's just non-stop advantage. Every card searches
The cards Special Summon themselves
They can make a dozen plays, and still have a full hand
And even if you try to interrupt them, their other cards just do what the one you stopped did
And then they bring back the one you stopped, and do it all over again.
Fire king is literally topping events
The beauty of Yugioh is that you can play older or "fun" decks with your friends, not having to spend a lot of money on them or end your board in multiple negates/ interruptions. Just have fun! hope this comment helps you.

I doubt they ever would because it would be hard to balance but I hope they introduce some 5D's speed duel boxes. Also looking forward to the upcoming speed duel video.
I remember getting my hands on the old Onslaught of the Fire Kings Structure deck, which was one of my favorites, so to see Fire Kings make a return is awesome! I'll be getting my hands on it at the first opportunity.
BTW, one card that was in Onslaught of the Fire Kings would be amazing in the new Fire Kings deck: Backfire.
I haven't really played since the first generation so during that duel... I got completely lost 😅 I remember it being a lot simpler. And less writing on the cards... and just the one deck. I think I must be too old for this 'stuff' now 😢

the Red Dragon Archfiend deck's real aces are Supernova Dragon and/or King Calamity. Once one of thosehits the field, that deck becomes a whole diffrent beast.

12:05: "Fire King Island" destroys "Avatar Garunix" --> 16:20 going into the next standby phase, doesn't it activates its trigger effect? (which is mandatory) "Once per turn, during the next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by card effect and sent to the GY: Special Summon this card from the GY. If you do: Destroy all other monsters on the field". Didn't he have to destroy all monsters on the field? :) don't know if I'm right, I'm new to the game that's why I'm asking pls don't be rude if I've missed anything

How come red dragon archfiend has an effect but stardust doesn’t? I’m on a 30$ budget because that’s as much as my parents let me have and I would love to combo off with shooting star
The effects around the boarders as you were both playing was extremely distracting. It made it really difficult to pay attention.

See .... This is what I can't stand about Yu-Gi-Oh nowadays. That is SOOOO much to do on one's turn. I'd never remember all the effects and whatnot and would just give up on the effects lol
really funny cuz my friend didn't have our cards with us, and we literally pretended to duel in our heads, counting cards in hand with our fingers, and went through a best 2 of 3 match between Exosister and Purrely.
We consistently remembered not only the cards we had, but
• What they did
• What the opponent's cards did
• Their stats
• What cards were on the field, graveyard, and banish zone
• Their positions, zones, and columns
• Number of cards left in our decks
• What cards were left in our decks and how many copies (So that we could imagine in our heads the likelihood of drawing a card, since we had to do the rng of drawing cards in our heads.)
And we didn't even have (or need) the cards with us to do this. It's not difficult in the slightest to play the game with the cards ACTUALLY in front of you to read.
You think a card game that is already 25 year old still maintained 2003 meta playstyle?
