4:20 - You have been blessed by Jerry Beans Man today.
Targeting Rush on Archfiend and Book of Moon On Blade would’ve kept Paul living in the second duel but misplays happen. It’s good to see GX getting some recognition again, great video!
Bit late but blade edge could just flip summon and attack anyways. Clayman was the only valid target at the time. With R RIGHTEOUS Justice, Paul sadly had no surprises left.
I just got back into yigioh a bit from the ps4 game and damn…i love this channel. Would be so cool to meet you guys and duel.
Finally my boy Syrus got some consideration!
Nah! My boy Syrus Truesdale either? Got held back a dorm or was kicked out of Duel Academy.
Dude when i got these as a kid i was so disappointed that they weren't a literal copy of their decks
While that is unreasonable, they don't even try to stay on-theme. Why do both of these decks have garbage poison mummy?
"We'll make a Syrus deck, yeah! When kids want to get a deck themed around a character, their first thought is DEFINITELY 'I want to be the whiny one with no self-esteem!'"
Wait, there's no fusion or extra deck? What the hell?
I knew exactly nothing about GX before watching this video, but I fully expected the forty-first card in each Starter to be an Extra Deck Monster. Color me surprised.
Made me remember how lucky i got when getting those decks, as i also bought some boosters along and managed to pull some fusions(rampart blaster, thunder giant, mudballman and 2x steam gyroid)to make up for their disappointing lacking in those.
I got out of Yugioh in like 2005. Came back last year. Massively different game. This is NO “children’s card game”. At all. It’s much deeper.
much better than the shitty olden days of 2005 kid, deal with it
@@EBlade3529 Eh, I'd say any format from Goat onwards was good in their own right, even ignoring nostalgia. Some people like more complex turns where losses come from pivotal moments, some like more simplistic turns that snowball together into wins, etc.
Small suggestion for you ballers, maybe switch the camera's pov between each duelist during the sets? I say that because subconsciously I find myself rooting for whichever deck the camera is on, sort of like it was my own side. Love these structure/starter duels keep the content coming guys :)
26:35 someone share this with Rank10 please. He'll appreciate the combo he talked about 5 years ago lol
I remember getting these when i was a kid and expecting to see decks that i saw in the anime and then opening it up and being disappointed that its 80% random cards that have nothing to do with jadan or syrus
I love these type of videos. You should do another "tournament ready" deck off eBay or Amazon.
Those are my faves!!!
MISPLAY ALERT! You didn't change submarineroid to def after you attacked so you didn't lose 1000 points in that attack at 28:30!
Actually XYZ Symphony sorta had the card window it was basically a Yuma a starter deck.
This brings me back! Awesome stuff! Thank you for the nostalgia!
I really enjoy watching these structures casual duels. It’s like having a time machine channeled directly to my childhood :)
I just happened to stumble upon your channel by random and now I am hooked on your duels! I have been away from Yugioh for a couple of years now and I'm kinda confused to how the game is played today as there has been a lot of changes. I hope that I'll be able to find some places in my town where I can play against others and learn how to become better at this once more. I'll look forward to seeing more content from you guys! Keep up the good job :D
Be sure to remember; There's a difference between "playing" a card, and "using" a card
Because that makes sense?
You can "play" a card and not have any long term strategic plan for its effects..."using" a card, in my opinion takes advantage of more long term effects and chains etc. That's what you're saying?
really cool video, i watched it yesterday, went to sleep and while trying to fall asleep i just thought of this video. So cool to see a duel like this i never watched one and also nice effects that ubring the card in the screen that is being laid on the mat! Well done
20:06 why didnt he book of moon the bladedge?
I've been absolutely loving your videos - have been binge watching ever since I found your channel. This duel was so hype and I hope to soon see the fusion version of Jaden's structure deck (if there is one haha). I dont know if you take content requests but I'd LOVE to see you two, or any of the other Team APS members, duel your tournament decks (if your still do tournaments) or the current decks you are duelling competitively at the moment. Regardless, love the content and thank you for getting me back into YuGiOh again :)
there was slight error that wasn't caught at 27:04 submarineroid get switch to defense when attacks directly so when it was Alec turn that attack to submarineriod should of been no battle damage because it should of been in defense mode leaving Paul with 3900 life points at then end of duel Alec did 2900 damage Paul would of been left with 1000 life point but probably would of still lost anyway
Very fun to watch, helps me get through work faster. Appreciate your both, can't wait to see your brother again
This is so crazy to me. I had already been done with playing yugioh by the time gx came so it’s weird to me that Jaden and Cyrus starter decks didn’t come with any fusions. Like Jaden getting Necroshade instead of Flamed Wingman or Thunder Giant is kind of blowing my mind.
To buy more decks means.... more money for them
You forgot to switch Submarineroid to defense position! I think it's a mandatory effect if he attacks too!
I thought the card hemor-oid was in that deck
Really enjoying these videos! I haven't even played YuGiOh since I was younger but these are so damn entertaining I've been watching nonstop for a couple weeks now. Nothing more to say, just trying to engage for the algorithm. Keep it up!
Best part of this: These duels were so much more interesting that normal competitive format.
This is the way Yugioh was meant to be played. Not 25 actions per turn, 3 turn duels.
Yes! Give gx as much love as possible. It's probably my favourite era so I love seeing it!
Love u guys.
Love this series guys!! Keep up the good work! You make these duels so entertaining!!
This is how Yu-Gi-Oh should be. Now it is like, 'draw for turn. GG.'
Does anyone else feel like Alec gets all the perfect traps for combat while Paul get all the better monsters.
Im early and dont know what to say so... stay hydrated ig
Thanks for the reminder, I will grab a drink of water now
Loved the dual opening approach after editing! Keep up the great work, love your videos 👍🏻
Wanna duel?
Paul is just too chill to play with, I would love to play just one duel against him, and smoke one before, and let Alec be our comentator. Dream come true!
stay frosty and keep making entertaining videos
why does alex keep saying that brain control is banned when its not
It was banned for a few years, before it was eventually errated. If you check newer printings of BC, it’s not as powerful as older printings.
Wish I had friends who would want to do starter/structure deck duels so much fun
17:18 that flip was impressive.
I love this, brings back memories of my early playing days
bro this videos bring my childhood to life!!..never stop making them
13:15 why can’t alec use dust tornado to destroy sakuretsu armor or giant trunade? I’ve read something about spellspeed but not sure if this has anything to do with it
What camera did you use to record this overhead shot! Looks clean!
Awesome video! Been loving my binge of your channel, thanks for getting me into Yu-Gi-Oh!
Syrus' theme is so cool! I love machine decks, and his character is so great!
Nostalgia is thru the roof with this one. Thanks guys
That was more fun than I expected! Nice job guys
I would love to watch you play those themed decks but with your own cards, if possible. Adding the fusions making it gen exclusive catching the themes all things like that.
I think you two would create far more cannon Cyrus and Jaden decks!
