@@Pandore29 oh that's a great idea! We toss cooked quinoa into smoothies and have had it instead of oats in a warm quinoa breakfast bowl but we will have to try a cold overnight version!
@@TastyThriftyTimely oh I didn't know! i never put quinoa for smoothie ! i will try that as well, seems to be yummy :) i don't do smoothie often because of the texture that i don't like, some mix works but not a lot so why not adding quinoa to see :) thanks
@@Pandore29 Ya we have a peanut butter chocolate smoothie bowl with cooked quinoa snuck in there! The texture is a little grainier so we like to put nuts and crunchy things on top. Here's the recipe if you want something to start from! tastythriftytimely.com/chocolate-peanut-butter-smoothie-bowl/
Yes I usually have quick oats on hand but lately I’ve had old fashioned for making granola. I’ll have to try the overnight oats with old fashioned too 👍🏻
Yes! They are 16oz mason jars. They are quite easy for me to find in grocery stores or dollar stores. I also save them if I buy a jar of sauce or olives or anything from my grocery store that comes in a glass jar. Instead of recycling the jar, I wash it, and reuse it! I know they can be purchased online as well if they are hard for you to find in stores. I hope this helps:)
🤤 This winter has me wanting everything warm hot & even spicy 🥵.. & This video makes me "instantly" want oatmeal. (Ya get what I did there) 🤔🤭 lol Thanks oat-lot. 🥁...🤭😂🤗 Loved the video, the diff ideas and your vid aura shines...✨ Oh yeah btw #Subsrcibed
Hahaha thanks oat-lot! 😂 so glad this video hit the spot! I’m with you, I definitely crave all the warm, comforting, and spicy meals this time of year! Thank you so much for subscribing! ❤️
Absolutely! The oats will just be a little less creamy tasting. Sometimes I even use leftover coffee (I have a habit of not finishing coffee’s lol). Adding nut or seed butters or even protein powders if you use them can make the oats more creamy when using water. Or something like lemon juice could make them pretty refreshing 👍🏼 let me know what combination you end up liking!
@@ForDollzzOnly oh interesting I’ve never thought of adding almond flour to an oatmeal. I often add chopped nuts for some texture but have never tried a nut flour 👍🏼
In this video I actually made my own “yogurt” from tofu. It doesn’t have any live cultures in it so it’s not actually yogurt but I just blended tofu and flavoured it with mango and banana I think. The recipe for it is on our blog if you’re interested. My favourite store bought vegan yogurt so safe is the Mason Riviera coconut yogurt (they have an oat yogurt as well but I much prefer the coconut).
If you don't want to use measuring cups, just add enough oats to be a good breakfast (I use old-fashioned), then cover with nut milk. This is not a food where precision is required, and a few tries should let you figure out what you like and eyeball the quantities involved. A bit of salt can also be appropriate, though it's not the end of the world if it's skipped, as there's (usually) some in the milk. Again, just try and see.
Are you a rolled oats or steel cut oats fan? And let me know what other overnight oats flavour combos you want to see!
Wow great tips! Those look delicious!
I’m glad this was helpful!! Thank you for watching ☺️
Can’t wait to try this! Thanks for the great video
Awesome! Let me know how you like it! 🥰
Bryan has been bringing these into work and they looked so good! I now make them myself, they're so good 🤙🏻

@@TastyThriftyTimely you should try it. I wanted to make it that way because I'm trying to lower my cholesterol.
@@ForDollzzOnly that’s great! I’ll definitely give it a try 👍🏼 oats are much more versatile than I used to think. There’s so many ways to enjoy them!
