When i heard how they were in 1 that was my first thoughts is them mimicking helldivers to mess with us and are strategems. Imagine a helldivers runs up you kills only for you to see there not on your team at all.

The fact that these lasers are indeed confirmed to be real is so damn cool. I've seen a few in my dives as well. Reminds me of when FDev added Thargoids in Elite Dangerous, didn't tell anyone, and then a Commander got hyperdicted by one. It started a mass frenzy from the community cause no one knew what the fuck was going on. Super excited to fight the squids again, hope their full introduction is hidden in an update and all of a sudden the bottom part of the map gets invaded

The lasers are real but in this video you can see those are obviously just incindiary mines, you can see how they explode from the ground and shoot fire out. The blue flashes are shrapnel ricocheting off the bile titan's armor, you can even see the shrapnel flying from the ground in a cone shape. You have to be really gullible to believe this that easily.
I never saw someone shooting those blue beams.
A friend in steam was talking to me about the same thing, he got shot from nowhere, some energy shots hit his shield, he was playing solo, in a BUG world.
I seen flashes like that yeah, friend of mine see shots fired from the corner of the mountains towards the sky only to see nothing in the bushes. I also seen that solo, going across the sky from one hill to another on Crimsica. Perhaps it was just me, but I also hear some weird sounds that the bugs dont usually make in Veld recently. some shimmering that aint a stalker moving between the tree instead of directly towards you.

In most cases, the blue beams are missed scorcther shots. However, that is MOST cases. I myself have been knocked over by a blue blast which was definitely NOT from the PLAS-1 as none of my squadmates had it equipped.
Bullets and rockets turn blue when they ricochet off armor. Don't ask me why the devs decided that.

That is one hell of an intro, seeing what we can assume to be a single Ilumminate commando taking on a bile titan and f*cking it up like it's nothing.
and then getting fucked up in the process - in the slo-mo recap at 0:46 you can see something that looks suspiciously humanoid fall from the Titan. It's not R2, as R2's behind the player and never even got near the Titan. ..and it doesnt look like armour plating falling off either
@@shoulderpyro Well it's part of the Bile Titans Shell/Armor. You can see smaller junks fall down before 0:46.
And if that Illuminate Solider or Grunt can take on a Bile Titan and take it out, we're gonna definitely need a Bigger Destroyer.

@@chlorofotothose plants don’t explode like that, nor do they have any actual explosive power, and aren’t treated as an enemy by AI. Also they aren’t even on that planet. Anything else?

The Ministry of Truth and the Ministry of Science approve this message. After close examination of frame-by-frame helldiver bodycam footage, These Ministries have discovered that the phenomena shown is mundane in nature. You can see the "spiky bush" in the beginning of this clip, and then watch the Titan's back left leg sweep through the bush, detonating it and causing the first flash and spray of shrapnel. This is again, mundane in nature as these bushes are common on similar planets. The blue flashes that follow are actually generated by your HUD coding them as ricochet fire from the aforementioned shrapnel (The game only knows explosive shrapnel exists so yes; the bushes use explosive shrapnel which produces this effect). The second main explosion that seems to originate underneath the Titan is simply the first shrapnel explosion reflected point-blank, making it appear to have originated nearby, or even simpler just a very lucky second "spiky bush" contact point. Again, this phenomenon is uncommon, but entirely mundane in nature. Any other ideas presented about the possibility of Illuminate resurgence or similar are dissident misinformation and thought crimes which should be reported to the nearest Democracy Officer immediately. Stay strong, Helldivers!

@@content4810 Actually, this titan displays behavior consistent with the roaming patrol behavior type that is relatively common on higher risk (difficulty) missions. Kudos to the divers for maintaining a stealth profile such that the Titan moved along his patrol path without engaging!

You can see the bile titan step on a spike bush, the blue effect is it ricocheting off of the armour a few times.
And the second explosion is the back leg on the SAME bush which I think is hilarious
100% what it is. and I think the other reports of people getting shot by blue beams are them getting hit by ricochets. BUT, i love that people like this game so much that the imagination is there.

He's stepping on the blue plants that shoot a ton of bullets, and the glow is those deflecting off the titan's armor.

I don’t think that’s right, those frost plants are ice or cold climate flora (I’ve never seen them anywhere other then on cold planets). More over we don’t see any around as the player pans his camera, you’d see the glow from them through the fog from where he’s standing. Someone else said it might be mines tho so idk if it’s illuminate or not lol
There’s spike ball plants on the jungle planets that explode projectiles in all directions when destroyed. You can actually see the other spikes that are shot out and not hitting the bile titan in this video.
@@juliobudhai4940I’m noticing there’s no real documentation on the different flora in the game. As in like the wiki doesn’t have a page on them at all.
My opinion is why would he walk over there to begin with, because the first thing is that bile titans have a great range of view and would've walked over to the players but something must have aggravated it or caught its attention. Definitely worrying😰

i swear this happened to me yesterday i was solo going for a SEAF site my teamates were on the other side of the map and i met a bile the moment i stopped he was hit by 3 consécutives explosions similar to those ones ( i didnt see the blue light as im not playing at high quality) and it crumbled down i went there nothingexcept its carcass
this never happened to me before the last patch
He’s a possible lore explanation. That blast came from an illuminate scout. Watching that squad of Helldivers, the bike titan spotted it and thought it was a threat. The scout was defending itself but in doing so blew its cover and that’s why we don’t see the source of the blue energy. Also side note, that blast doesn’t look like any weapon, stratagem or orbital we have so far. Completely Alien…
This just shows that we can definently have duo planets where two forces fight us on the same planet, would be fire though definently painful.

What if the Illuminate aren't waiting to drop into the game. What if they're waiting for some helldivers to accidently... engage them in battle as they been here the whole time just watching, waiting.

Just saw this happen, was solo in a mission, in a tight spot with a charger bearing down on me. All of a sudden I see the charger taking some sort of explosive damage like this. Bought me some time to get some hits and finish off the bastard. Must be a guardian angel

Contested Planets, in my humble opinion, would be an awesome mechanic to add when different factions borders meet. For instance, if Terminid and Automaton factions invade the same system, it would be ace if when we drop as Helldivers on contested worlds we do so into an active warzone where bots and nids are already fighting eachother and we have to destroy both sides to control the planet.
People keep saying that its those spiky plants that explode... But I dont recall them making any fire effects when exploding.
This is the greatest teaser for an update ever. Just having blue lasers coming fron nowhere shooting players and enemies alike.

I was playing on Acamar IV and I got sniped by a blue beam when I got separated from my squad. If this is how they are introducing them to the game I’m all for it I think that’s badass.
Me and my friend were in a terminid mission recently and we kept getting shot and knocked over. There weren't even any terminids near us at the time.
I did notice the other day what appeared like a orbital strike hitting somewhere on the map, which when i went to investigate, couldnt find anything.
I've encountered this twice, though not to this degree. Once on a bot planet, and again on a bug planet. On the bot planet a random beam of blueish light took out a dropship, and on the bug's it helped me kill a charger. I was soloing in both scenarios.

I’d assume the illuminate would be appearing on Veld and angel’s venture given how they are the closest planets to Moradesh, which will be where they come from according to the leaks. Maybe they know super earth is up to something with their dark fluid weapon and came to pay us a visit. The implications of them attacking a bile titan are also pretty huge.
But say, did you go to investigate the place where the lasers were coming from?
I don't think the Terminid's want to take chances with other races given how their Super Earth encounter ended.

I thought they would appear only after we beat the automatons and Terminids sectors. Like, they will wait for us to be weak after all those missions and then attack while we are tired
What lasers??? There are literally no lasers in this vid??? Do any of you actually play the game??? Ricochet shots do this, it just stepped on a spike plant or mines and the shrapnel caused the ricochet effect to happen as it can't penetrate the titan. It's kinda scary that so many play the game religiously yet know nothing about it
@@lilpain1997 ricochets turn blue and explode? If it was a spike plant, it would be a single burst and several spikes would miss the titan. It comes from several sources on the ground level and it’s all aimed at the bile titan. Where the fuck would it ricochet from? The ground??? Also, if you’d actually watch the video you’d see that the things that hit the titan explode. Ricochets do not explode.
If you allegedly know so much about the game and are above all the peasants that falsely claim these to be lasers, then tell me what the glowing blue stuff is and why it exploded on impact
Well it looks like a hidden illuminate on the map which was sneaked into the game. This has happened before where shriekers and other enemy types were put into the game before the offical date and only rare cases a portion of players would see them especially on solo missions on highest difficulty levels (helldive mode)
Happened to me too. A charger ran into the forest and attacked something, I even saw these blue beams coming from the forest.

You can see what seem to be explosions and fire, and those blue beams look the same as laser weaponry being deflected. I don’t remember those bushes making fire or explosions.

Its actually a bug, I've actually had this happen to me and my buddies. One of us was technically in the game but they were invisible and there name tag didn't show
This also happened when fighting the Atomautons a blue light was shooting at them and they were also shooting at it
I had a mission where half my team left and all the objectives despawned but the bugs were chasing people that weren't there and dieing to things that weren't there. Then random strats staring falling from the sky. The other half of the team was still partially there or more we were still partially there. They seemed to be able to do the objectives

There is a plant that shoots out needles when hit in that planet. The blue sparks is probably just the armor reflection or your game was haunted by helldivers from the creek💀

That's crazy; I was playing a duo on terminids the other day, and as I'm running from a swarm of chaff flanked by a charger, I hear a few explosions. When I reach him, he asks what I threw at them, and I answer "Nothing, I was just running." He said he saw streaks of what appeared to be blue artillery come down and strike them as we ran, but neither he nor I threw any strats or were using plasma weapons. Since I didn't see myself, I won't say for sure, but I think my buddy had an Illuminant sighting

I ran into the similar scene today of a Bile Titan repeatedly trying to stomp something near it.
The scariest words you could possible hear: “We’ve detected an object entering our solar system. It’s *_slowing down_* …”
I honestly really hope we get some planets where you see the Automatons and the Illuminate also having to deal with the bugs. I love the idea of the bugs being this universal threat and having mixed planets where you have to deal with multiple factions at war.
0:45 I just noticed something was falling from the titan it may have been a piece of outer skeleton from the damage or it maybe one of the illuminate's staff melee wielding soldiers trying a cqb that titan, because as it hits the ground right where it is at you then can see sparkes and the next attack are followed up wards from them, at least we know our enemies don't work together so that's good news.
It was a plant... that explodes... It has some spiky fruits, if you do damage to it, it just explode in fragmentation fashion. :s

I was on a match with a full squad of my friends, all of us had mics.
I like to go off on my own, set up and get read to support my buddies with sniper fire. (I’m the best shot in our group).
Anyways, as I was setting up, a bug patrol started to pass by me, so I got quiet and waited for them to pass me.
My team was around 500 meters away heading towards the main objective, all of them neither had the range, nor the visibility to shoot at me or the bugs. (There was a large forest in between us, like the ones on the Creek).
As I was laying down, watching the bugs, a blue laser beam come up from the northwest, (my buddies were all on the Northeast to East area from my central most point).
The blue laser ONE TAPPED, ONE TAPPED, the charger. Just a single blue laser that appeared out of nowhere and killed the charger in one shot.
(At the time of making this comment, there is not a single gun in the game that fires blue laser beams that do enough damage to one tap a fully armor, freshly spawned charger).
So yes, the Illuminate are real, and they are coming for us-

It is canonical that the illuminate are the strongest of the three enemies it goes terminanids 3td automatons 2nd illuminate 1st all of super Earth's best tech was scavenged and reverse engineered from illuminate tech including FTL travel the illuminate are a intergalactic empire and the entire illuminate force that super earth defeated 100 years ago (the first game) the most dangerous force super Earth has ever seen was rumoured to be *one scouting party* does that explain?
To propose that Super Earth "stole" technology that they freely and clearly designed and built on their own (no testing required and worked first time, every time btw) is tantamount to treasonous rhetoric and I would refer you to your local democracy officer for re-education. This has been a thing for weeks. First is was random stealth snipers shooting blue beams. Then the rare space battle sighting with sometimes a beam going planet side. Now whatever this is. Can confirm I've been headshot by a blue beam out of nowhere and "killed by -unknown-" while trying to extract. If anything it's just annoying and kinda bs.

'Illuminate' shot at AND DESTROYED an automaton tank in one of my recent lobbies. I wasn't able to tell if they hit the vents to do so.
It’s those new little shrapnel trees of this was on Veld. The little feckers got me constantly.

I’ve seen similar things on the automaton front. Bots shooting in a direction where none of my team is located. When I saw it I double checked the location of all my team, and everyone was exactly where I thought. I asked my team who are those bots shooting at? But then we were attacked from the opposite direction by a different group of bots.
It’s the shrapnel plants. The blue is the ricochet of the shrapnel that can’t penetrate the titan’s armour
This reminds me of when i was doing a helldive mission solo (for some fucking reason) managed to actually do all my tasks and was running for my life when a botdrop came down right Infront of me with a tank, i was out of reinforcements and all my strategems were being jammed. Just as i thought it was over, suddenly a blast hit the dropship and caused it to fall to the ground, destroying the tank as well as a few automatons underneath it.
I don't know who or what did it, but they must be a true hero of democracy ✊🏻
The radius and the over all 'look' i guess of those shots scarily resemble leaked illuminate explosive weapons.

I've been noticed the titans stomping around at "nothing" and due from weak shots by me and squds I've been with. Also they have the belly sacks damaged from unknown fire. Haven't seen any blue beams hitting them, yet.

Anyone else see weird symmetrical "rock" formations? Kinda look like 2 mirrored pillar type of things. Might just be the environment duplicating things and putting them next to each other. But it looked like it could be significant
Looks like it hit a bunch of those thorns. They explode out and do wicked damage when you destroy them.
I hope they have some planets or game modes with a mix of Illuminates, terminids, and bots. And if they accidentally hit one another they'll start fighting each other like in Doom 2.
