What do you think Jeff Buckley's career would have been like if he were still with us?
The next Springsteen
0:25 What was the recording studio they were looking for?? Why would they not be able to find it if they used it before? Who was driving?
Jeff's music is a joy to discover and a tragedy to look into...
If only you'd hear his father's music.
I just experienced both of these today 😢
Lover, You Should Have Come Over is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The world was truly robbed of his talent and all the songs he would've gone on to write.
One of my favourite songs by him is the unreleased “all flowers in time bend towards the sun” with Elizabeth Fraser, he died before it was finished and Elizabeth didn’t want it released as she didn’t think it was complete but it’s absolute incredible
Mine too.
I sat on Bondi beach and watched the sun come up with Jeff. He was obsessed with water.
He was a beautiful soul ☺️
really?
Did you know him personally?
I always loved his version of hallelujah.. his voice is amazing 😍
The raw passion, and his angelic voice made that one of my favorite songs.
His death still shakes me up.
Me too
i think it was suicide
@xkilj7279 me too, or a manic episode. Multiple people recall him behaving differently before his death.
@@xkilj7279why do you think he committed suicide?
INSANELY talented
Did not know he was dead, but that explains why I heard that great music and noticed he wasn’t a top tier celebrity yet RIP
Last Goodbye has never left my playlist. I was 15 years old when it came out in early 1995.
I was 19 at the time.
He's my favourite musician of all time. His live performances are mesmerising and once you get lost in them you can't get enough. He reached pure transcendence when he was on stage. Once in a lifetime kind of artist. No doubt he would have gone on to be absolutely huge. Very underrated guitarist and brilliant song writer on top of that voice.
His music was and is so amazing to this day. I absolutely love when he sang Hallelujah. Thank you 😊
Rest peacefully and eternally. 🕊️🙏❤️
Jeff left music that will live forever amazing musician ❤
He was beautiful inside and out. He is missed.
I still listen to my "Grace" album. He sang like an angel...gone too soon.❤️
I have only posthumous double CD compilation "Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk" with unfinished songs and demos. Lyrics are very dark and somber, how he can predicted own death.
One of my absolute favourites💕 His music was the anthem of my teenage heartbreaks😅 Still sad about his tragic death… Also, his Dad’s music is pretty awsome too!
your guys videos are so original, where do you get your ideas from?
"So Real"--I couldn't awake from the nightmare/ that sucked me in and pulled me under.
That line is so prophetic. It made me stop believing in coincidences
He will forever be one of my favorite artists. He’s the only singer I listen to that writes romantic music.
It’s so sad and tragic in same time, no ones knew what is going on there’s mind . Rip beautiful young man gone so soon but never be forgotten 🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹🌹
yea...he drowned accidently
Amazing artist. 💜🤣👍🏻
In high school I remember trying to learn one of his songs from tablature featured in a guitar magazine. I didn't know he died until I saw this video but he was a great songwriter.
Great video. What's the music that plays in the background?
I would really love to hear Keith Foti's full statement of that day...
A LITERAL legend
Stop with the word literal. It’s pointless and makes the user sound not smart
@@mumbles215 stop telling people what to do, you look stupid trying to be superior with your words. Shut up
I live in Memphis TN, I know all about the Wolf River and Mississippi River and where they meet. The Wolf River runs through Memphis. The river is very toxic and the currents are horrible. Certain parts, people do get in but not there. I've crossed over or drove by that river millions of times. Wow. I didn't know this about his. Wolf River here in Memphis. Damn.
Still so sad to lose one of the greatest artists that never got to become what they deserved. Perhaps meant to be…live fast die young and leave a good looking corpse (something, or similar to what Jimmy Dean quoted). His stuff haunts, yet captivates me.
I've been listening to 'Lilac wine 'alot lately
Such a tragedy RIP
un artiste extraordinaire
Miss you mate
I always heard a different story about his death.
Drug OD's and suicide are kinda par for the course in music...but an accidental drowning is fucking gut wrenching.
He was so amazing
Such an unavoidable death
yeah it was as if he was always going to go in that water
Oh Jeff, why did you go into that river? Why?!
I'm in Memphis. Always have been. The Wolf River is highly toxic with oil and a bunch of mess. Also the currents will drag you under. Pure filth, dark brown, snakes and everything. And the tides are insane. Mississippi too. There are one or two parts of the Wolf River a few people go to canoe. Other than that , most know not to get it either of them. It's a given. But his story is different, so sad. Yes it was just as bad back then , just now as much oil. But even then, it was a big NO. Sad to hear that's how he passed and that he passed
had to have been a manic episode, why else would he have done that??
there was a guy named hitler who made kill millions of people and a guy named jeff buckley that gave us one of the beautifull voice in this earth.hitler lived so many years..... jeff was taken from us so quick.and there are people who believe in god....I say there is something wrong in this planet
I have a feeling it may have been intentional his music is the absolute saddest I have no doubt he might contemplated suicide :(
I wish I was him in 97
Early ‘97 or late ‘97?
That was funny.
Just one hundred...
Is it Buckley or BooClay?
What do you think
Jeff died at age 33 i think. Not 30.
I smell foul play for sure.
Wow. Can you expound?
Heroin
Where's the proof of that? Was there an autopsy?
@@johnclaybaugh9536 it's common knowledge, they went down th rive to boot up
@@neoAREAXIS That’s not true. Jeff and his friend didn’t even intend to go down to the river. Originally, they were trying to find the studio that Jeff and his band - who were flying into Memphis, that evening - were going to be convening at, the next day, to resume work on their sophomore album. Jeff and his friend got lost on the way to said studio and spontaneously decided to go to the river, where Jeff took his fateful swim. Jeff was sober when he drowned, according to his autopsy report.
His father TIM Buckley died from a heroin overdose. That's another sad, strange accident.
@@neoAREAXIS so it's safe to say that you have no idea what you're talking about? Got it.
And I'm not surprised.
Not to smart RIP.
Don't remember this guy 🤔.
Ok?
You’re soooo edgy and cool
@@soysaucesnag696 Soooo's your mom.
I can understand you. Maybe you born less than 25 years ago, and don't remember people which died before your birth. I have one question. Which year you born?
I remember Jeff Healey..
