He wouldnt have even bothered with it just like u shouldnt why even bring up idiot sjws the one he hated the most. Live and let live those idiots love causing issues kurt was chill and would hate them. All they do is bring race and sex into anything thats not Kurt he hated people. And for good reason
@@BananaRamaPartyTimeAllTheTime Depends on what you mean by sjw, but I think you would call him an sjw as well. He said he didn't want people who have anything against gays come to his concerts, for example and there is much more...
This is Kurt's best interview. He was unusually relaxed, interested, and talkative. The journalist did a fantastic job bringing him out of his shell. 💗
In The Future by Yaki Clone is the weirdest song I've heard in a while I don't need any gifts, I am whole Remember things we did That nobody knows I don't need anyone to be nice The last 3 words you say make me alright Maybe it's because I'll see you in the future Passed out on the couch, can take no more I was such a mess, drunk and stoned You haven't been told how much you saved me If you want to make plans I've got the whole life free Maybe it's because I'll see you in the future

So relieved that during one of his last interviews he was treated with such kindness. She’s a real professional

There was such a great and genuine chemistry with them. Too has he didn't marry someone like her instead of Courtney. He'd probably still be alive today.
I love the questions she was asking: money cant buy happiness then asking him about the books he reads, really nice stuff. today interviews are all shallow
money actually can buy happiness it cannot buy real love though. money isn't something everyone needs to live only the ones who can't imagine a life without money need money. i see many young ones going shopping & being happy with all these things they bought so to say money can't buy happiness is pure stupidity.
sara cobain eh not really perhaps only the interviews you watch are shallow but there are some pretty great ones he just obviously gives off the vibe that the whole celebrity worship me thing wasn't his so he's not interviewed as such . People approach you as however you come off
He was doing a press thing, and yes he was in a good place early in the afternoon doing an interview with a pretty but in intelligent Canadian press interviewer. Sorry to say it but he looked bored and occasionally annoyed by her bubblegum interview questions. He was totally annoyed and very polite to the Canadian press.
He looks more content here than he ever did earlier in his life, its a commen factor in people who top themselves they seem well before they act, he doesnt look like hes depressed or suicidal, or on drugs, i am alot like him like so many disillusioned peeps i just dont see him killing himself truth will come out courtney knows something she should be tortured for the truth.
@@kylep292 Oh, I know. As someone who loves reading (and even studying) facial expressions and body language, I caught his occasional contempt for the hum-drum questions. I guess what I meant is that for this time in his life, he seems _fairly_ content. Also, it made me kinda happy to see him anything other than high, angry (at the press), dying to get out of the interview, or plain strung out. Must've found a good batch up in B.C.
@@FiaT_LuX..1990 I'm still on the fence about believing that Courtney had him offed. Idk. I guess I wanna believe they had a good relationship, and that Kurt wasn't the kind of person to piss someone off enough to have them want to kill him. I just don't know. I loved the guy though. When I was barely 10, I used to spend my allowance on Nirvana records. It might be a cliché, I know, but I fuckin idolized Kurt. Hell, at 32, I still do!
A lot of people say Nirvana is overrated but he is one of the most humble and relatable rockstars we’ve seen in the music industry. Finally a switch from the 80s hair metal bands. This is why Nirvana is still garnering new fans from younger generations.
@@enunuaeu He wasn't so sweet when he was leaving all those murder and rape threats on the answering machine of that journalist woman for months. But we'll just sweep that under the rug; wouldn't want to ruin the narrative. He was a good and humble man who never did anything to anyone. Also, pay no mind to the fact that he chose a pile of cocaine and a shotgun to the face over his own infant daughter.
I'm not Nirvana fan nor do I know much about him. I actually stumbled upon this interview and I must say I was so intrigued by his humility and kindness. I can totally see why so many people loved him. It saddens me to know he's gone. May his spirit and music continue to live on
@Has Goodles Exactly. These celebrities always showed one side to the camera. The same with Jimi Hendrix: a sensitive and intelligent man on the camera, but when drunk, he was abusive to his girlfriend. I think some of the Beatles witnessed him hitting her head with a phone, which would have seen him fined or imprisoned were he not so famous. These celebrities have to learn to stop taking drugs.
@Has Goodles understandable considering the circumstance. He obviously suffered social anxiety not to mention she asked him stupid questions and tried to tell him about himself lol
The interviewer is so fantastic. She’s so sweet, and soft spoken and respectful of Kurt. Because of that, Kurt probably opened up more and gave longer answers. I’ve never seen him more relaxed in any other interview he’s done. I think that has a lot to do with the interviewer. I love the questions she is asking as well. God, that man was amazing. I wish he didn’t die. I wonder what more joy and magic he would have brought to the world if he didn’t.
Boys McMichael You are wrong. That’s what we were told but there is overwhelming evidence that he was murdered. Watch “Soaked In Bleach” and “Kurt & Courtney,” and do a lot of research before you speak about his death. He wasn’t suicidal. Courtney was the only one who said he was suicidal around the time Kurt died. It wouldn’t have even been possible for him to have shot up with the amount of black tar heroin found in his system. With that amount of heroin in his system, he wouldn’t have been able to pick up the gun. He had 3X the lethal dose of heroin, for the biggest heroin user in the world, in his system. What person OD’s and shoots himself after? He loved heroin more than anything. Plus, those last four lines of the suicide note matched letters from a practice sheet found in Courtney’s backpack, which she left at her lawyers house around the time Kurt was murdered. She never picked up the backpack. Plus, how was their no useable fingerprints on the gun or even on the shotgun shells inside the gun? It’s clear that whoever killed him wiped off all the prints off the gun and the bullets and the pen found stabbed through the “suicide” note. Plus, handwriting experts determined the only part of the “suicide” note that was not written by Kurt, was the last four lines of the note. They also determined it was written at a separate time. They used the most well-respected and experienced professionals to help them determine that his suicide looked stage and he was probably murdered. Many experts feel he was murdered. Plus, everyone else in his life said how optimistic and happy he was around the time of his death. They guy who found him said his hair looked combed. His hair was combed, so anyone looking through those glass doors could see who he was. Courtney was the one who called someone to fix the lights outside the greenhouse that Kurt’s body was in. That electrician was the one who found his body. The amount of incriminating statements that PI Tom Grant recorded, makes Courtney and others, like Dylan Carlson, look so guilty.
LJR 87 you did your research, and I’m not gonna waste my time doing mine, but I looked one the internet briefly, and there is still lots of evidence that Kurt committed suicide. Also, if he didn’t shoot himself, he also could have had an overdose from the heroine
Boys McMichael You’re entitled to your opinion, but true Nirvana fans like me, who’ve done extensive research into Kurt’s death, know that he was murdered. Just watch, listen and read everything you can (documentaries, books, movies, tv shows, audio clips, UA-cam videos, etc.) before you come at me saying he killed himself. Do you know Kurt had 3 times the lethal dose of heroin for the biggest heroin user that ever existed in his system? He wouldn’t have been able to inject himself with that much black tar heroin because of how the drugs effects the body? There was no water found next to the body, which you need in order to use black tar heroin. The main detective on the case was friends with Courtney and was fired for police corruption shortly after working on Kurt’s death case. There’s a lot more evidence he was murdered than that. Believe me. Even if he would’ve been able to inject himself with that amount of heroin, the heroin would’ve incapacitated him almost instantly and he wouldn’t have been able to pick up the shotgun after injecting himself with that amount of black tar heroin. He also wouldn’t have been able to take off the tourniquet, roll down his sleeve, put away his heroin kit, and pull the trigger in less than a minute. With that type of heroin in his system. That’s just a small bit of evidence that he was murdered. Do you want to believe he killed himself because you are too lazy to research Kurt, his life, and his death? Or do you just not care enough to do that? You obviously are just an internet troll, who doesn’t care about Kurt. Do you realize that tons of well-respected experts, who each have several decades of experience in their fields, believe Kurt was murdered? One of those experts was a forensic pathologist, named Cyril Wecht, who has done hundreds of celebrity autopsies for over 30 years. Wecht said that in the thousands of death cases he has seen, he has never seen a case where someone was able to OD on heroin (especially that much heroin), and still be able to pick up a gun and shoot themselves immediately afterwards. No one has been able to find any suicide case like Kurt’s because it wasn’t a suicide. He couldn’t have even picked up the gun after injecting himself with that much heroin. He wouldn’t have been able to shoot up with the amount of heroin found in his system to begin with, because he would’ve become incapacitated and would’ve passed out before he had time to shoot himself. Kurt couldn’t have shot himself because heroin would have immediately incapacitated him in less than a minute after he shot up with heroin. Because heroin would have immediately incapacitated him, there wouldn’t have been time for him to keep injecting himself with more heroin. One shot of heroin would have almost immediately incapacitated him, yet he would have had to inject himself with a huge amount of heroin, several times, in order for Kurt to have had the blood/morphine level he did(1.52 mg per litre). That’s just not possible to do. Heroin turns to morphine in the bloodstream. Kurt would have had to shoot up more than once to have been able to get the amount of heroin found in his system. That’s not possible with heroin because it incapacitates you in less than a minute. If the heroin did not have time to circulate in the blood, which could give a high blood/morphine reading, like Kurt had, he would’ve had to shoot himself in less than a minute after injecting himself several times. That’s not possible. If he did that, the heroin would not have had time to take effect. Why would someone, who loved heroin more than anything, inject themselves with tons of heroin and then shoot themselves, before the heroin had time to take effect? That makes no sense. Plus, you need water with black tar heroin. There was no water at the Kurt Cobain crime scene. So, you are saying, in less than a minute, Kurt had time to remove the tourniquet, roll down his sleeve, put away everything in his heroin kit, inject himself several times with a lethal dose of heroin for the biggest heroin user in existence (not possible), and then shoot himself. That’s not possible. Also, the shotgun shell was found on the opposite side of where it should have been found. It would have been anatomically impossible for Kurt to have shot himself and have the shell pop up where it did, because the corpse grip Kurt had on the shotgun barrel, would have made it anatomically impossible for the gun to be positioned in a place where it would have had to have been positioned, in order for the shotgun shell to land where it was found. It could have ended up where it did only if it bounced off someone, or something, that was high above the ground. The corpse grip happens when someone dies the second they are holding something. The corpse grip occurs at the exact moment of death. You are so wrong if you believe he ended his life. No true fan actually believes that. A true fan does the research. You are not. Go away stupid child.
So devastating to learn that “Perfume” is Kurt’s favorite book and that he says he relates to it. For those who haven’t read it - Jean Baptist (the main character) is someone who feels no connection to other humans and is totally alienated from society. Scent is a metaphor for soul in the book… and Jean Baptist doesn’t have a scent - he wants to borrow from other people in order to create his own “scent” (aka: essence / soul / being) - he wants to finally fit in and belong. In the end he creates the perfect scent which is so beautiful and charismatic that everyone who smells it instantly falls in love with Jean. Jean realizes right away that he feels no fulfillment from this newfound love and adoration because it is totally fake - they don’t love him they love the perfume. Feeling hopeless and alone, he douses himself in an entire bottle of the hypnotic perfume and a crowd of people become so crazed with desire when they smell Jean that they rush towards him and devour him whole. Their (fake) love for him is what kills him in the end … and Jean is finally free from the loneliness and alienation that plagued him since his birth. Damn…. If the perfume is “fame” then this is basically Kurt’s life story too. A true gentle genius gone too soon. 😢💔
Thanks for explaining his favourite book and its such an insightful explanation and I agree sadly that it’s just like Kurt’s life Story. An awesome guy gone way too early 💔💔💔😭😭😭
over thirty years ago.... seems so unreal. He is there like somebody living nowadays. Kurt Cobain far ahead from his time, timeless. We keep you in our heart. Thank you for the music.
I just hope Kurt took some pleasure in it, and didn't feel too uncomfortable. I listened to his music through my teenage years and he lifted me up to a level which has kept me going throughout life.
I wish I was that good at holding up a conversation. He had so much potential and, beneath his addiction and bipolar and all that, he was a truly nice and chill guy. It’s reflected in this video. RIP legend. I’m a Gen Z teenager and I still love Nirvana. Legends never die!
I find these kind of comments so tacky, exploiting a man that killed himself because he hated the fame for internet points that literally mean nothing 🤮
Yep. I get tears in my eyes just by seeing his smile... I’ve kept all my Nirvana records even though they’re pretty much over-used but damn I still love their music. Peace friends.
The 90s was a unique time to be a teenager, the last decade before the internet and social media. No online communities to find a kindred spirit, we were alone in our bedrooms listening to music and feeling alone.
Yes!! I am so thankful that I was a teenager in the 90s. It was a unique time and kids born after the 90s won't ever understand what it was like. You can bring back the clothes, the music, try rebooting the shows.. but it will never give them what we had back then.
Im 23 and still living that life, i dont like the World today. Just Listen to nice Music with sad touch that make me feel like im not the only one with that mindset and doing my thing. Fuck social media and all that fake attention everybody wants. I rather live my life and die alone then trying to be someone i will Never be just to impress some idiots
Yep. Just waiting in my room for the radio to play my favorite songs so I could record them and make a mixed tape. How I wish I could go back to that time.
wow. thanks for that. i'm 64 , and seeing Kurt here, around 30? makes me feel "forever young.". Now, where's my shotgun, honey ? I want to keep this feeling forever.
Siempre e pensado lo mismo, no imagino a Kurt en el mundo tan superficial y estupido en el que vivimos ahora, como lo dices el era demasiado real para toda esta mierda
She's insufferable. "You are sooo nice. You are so comfortable with yourself. Something must have happened to you in the last couple years." Are you kidding me? I want to slap her. What a stupid thing to say.
@@davidwong656 I don't see what she said as insults, but the ability to question him to his face about certain aspects of his personality. I don't know what Kurt's personality "profile" was or how much I even believe in all that shit, but I'm an INTJ and I'm guessing he's somewhere in that ballpark because he shared a lot of those traits where he didn't seem to take critique offensively, but rather, he would actually just consider things being said in critiques and wasn't dismissive of other viewpoints or concerns outside of his own. If someone says, "here is why you're wrong about this thing you did," he didn't get defensive but would instead question himself with the information provided, "was I actually wrong?" This was the antithesis of the rock star persona he could've had where he could've constantly deemed his own worldview to be correct and anyone else questioning that is just some nerdy music journalist that doesn't understand shit or whatever defense rock stars generally have about being criticized. You can tell he's just some average dude and he finds it odd that he's famous or how people place him on some sort of pedestal but he's learning to cope with that new life, "Oh, I guess I have a team of lawyers now." It's probably why he was welcoming in this interview, you could tell she was from the same underground scene he was comfortable in - her references were not generic mainstream, "so tell me about your experience with Madonna," bullshit. She just treated him like one of her underground music scene peers and he seems really comfortable with it - she treated him like an old friend that just happened to be "that famous Kurt Cobain guy," but didn't see the glitz and glamor of it, it didn't matter to her. If you've ever had friends become famous for something, you know how odd that is to see people worship them when you know they're just some fellow human.
Only Kurt Cobain can say “because I’m such a big rockstar and made a bunch of money” and not sound like a big rockstar who made a bunch of money ❤️ such a pure soul
exactly my thoughts. He's like "yeah, I am one now, and is just my role in life" or something like that. Very mature by then and with a small ego. So sad to not have him today as god knows how much more he could've created. After seeing this interview I believe even more in the theory of he getting assassinated.
@@mauroarriagada Same here, I think he was killed, even though loads of people have killed their self's on drugs, but he had so much drugs in his system, he couldn't of pulled the trigger, but then I think he could of set up the gun and reseted his finger on the trigger? We might never know.
KTS You could pull the trigger immediately after pushing in the syringe. I am not an expert on his death, but I have done IV drugs quite a bit and you got a few seconds there, depending on the type of drug and your own tolerance. But he’d been a heroin addict for several years by then, so he probably would’ve had a few seconds to pull the trigger after pushing in the plunger if he so desired and had planned it beforehand. I dunno. Morbid to think about.
@@kts5920 I'm basing that he injected it off what I read in Heavier than Heaven. It was a long time ago that I read that, though, and I can't claim that that is the hard truth, but I definitely know he was an IV drug user typically and they found the needle and spoon on his person (or around it) when they found the body. I'm guessing if you're at the point of killing yourself, you're not worrying about enjoying the drugs anymore. But again, this is speculation on my part.
It's crazy how much my 1 former coworker reminds me of Kurt Cobain....I often wonder what would have become of Nirvana if Kurt was still alive..I was 6 when he died but I discovered Nirvana when I was about 8 or 9
Sat next to Kurt Cobain on a flight LA to Chicago. I knew who he was but wasn't big on the music at that early point. He respected that i didnt fan him. We spoke about Family and just general small talk. He was softly spoken, a little shy snd very polite. He helped a lady with her baggage. I ended up becoming a big fan as i grew more familiar with Nirvana.
The journalist is fantastic.. but the camera-person.......... out of this world. It's almost like a movie; no one does this anymore. Take note future film-makers.
@@regortex3364 She clearly went into it with an expectation of Kurt, which is why she says something mid interview to the point of, 'why are you being so nice?' She asked several questions in a very tentative way. She clearly thought it was going to be difficult.
RuyLopezQB6 -well Kurt was known to be a prima donna smartass in most of his interviews, if you’ve watched any of them. He was being uncharacteristically nice in this one. It’s just an interview, I use to watch a lot of Much Music back then and have seen dozens if not hundreds of interviews she’s done, I was simply commenting on the fact that she was not nervous.
The reason kurt is opening up is because this interviewer is talking about real life real feelings. She isnt trying to be over the top she is down to earth. This is a cool rare interview.
Yea She was on the same wavelength as Kurt and just spoke to him like a regular person and not ask ridiculous annoying questions...She also knew alot about Nirvana and music in general. Great job.
Victoria Harrington that's what I love the most. In other big interviews they make him out to be an ass/ know it all but he's so open and down to earth in this
Id never heard him speak for more than 30 seconds to a minute. I could listen to him all day. Wise beyond his years and humble af. A true class act. RIP
What a dumb comment lol how do you know when the best times where? Your 20 years vs the 10s of thousands people have lived for... You have no insight dont forget this guy dealt with so much pain that drugs ended his life. I really dont need to pick this apart but i cant stand comments like this, john doe nailed it in less words.
This interview is very comforting to me. Whenever I watch this, I feel relaxed and completely forget about my problems, albeit for a short time. Rest in peace Kurt.
Love how he truly thinks before speaking. He was wise beyond his years, and made such a mark on our society and world. Would’ve loved seeing him grow old, hope he’s resting well.
安倍総理 Right. I clicked on the video as soon as I read the title. Then I saw who uploaded it and thought, "Crap, it's watchmojo..." I was expecting that annoying voice, shitty stock images, and a stupid count down. But I was pleasantly surprised.
I really feel that a lot of credit should go to this interviewer. She did a fantastic job of not asking him all of the generic bs questions that everyone had been asking and he hated. Kurt would shut down, with anyone, so fast if annoyed, offended, or bored. She really, somehow, understood him and was able to keep him engaged where soooooooo many others had failed. Because of her we all have this and get to see him like this, with his guard somewhat down, just chilling and talking. I love it and I'm grateful for it!
Agreed. She did an amazing job. She builds a rapport after the first few minutes. I've never seen a contemporaneous interview that went as well as this.
In most interviews Kurt comes across very guarded and sarcastic, but here he seems very relaxed and sincere, almost like watching a conversation between friends. Really great interviewer
Lol there is that too! I think she does a good job of relating to him though, other interviewers often come across superficial, but she seems genuinely interested.
She interviewed him many times over the years so he knew her relatively well. It’s Erica Ehm for MuchMusic Canada, I remember watching this live as a kid and a short time later when he had just taken his own life this was in heavy rotation of MuchMusic and played almost daily for a month. She interviewed the other guys as well, I remember Dave Grohl speaking to her in the same setting
I had a close friend who was also a musician and Kurt reminds me so much of him. My friend was a really melancholic and extremely introverted person but he was also an incredibly sensitive, empathetic, beautiful person, the kind of person you rarely ever find. He actually committed suicide in October of last year, every time I hear a Nirvana song I always think of him.
Raffa Halt I get that was his style, but he could have spent his money on other things but he didn't, I believe the only car he owned was a 65 Dodge Dart, (correct me if I'm wrong) I'm sure someone will, and I've seen interviews where he said he'd rather a guitar from a charity shop, I think the man wanted us to hear and appreciate his music but hated the fame and other bullshit that came with it
Well said Destroyer, many people associate Nirvana with sadness and death but to me they were mostly a big buzz ! They have a few melancholy songs that are great but loads of others that blast the life into you and give that satisfaction we all crave from a fucking good rock band.
He's a really down-to-earth, introspective guy. His mind isn't burnt by drugs like some people who have used drugs for a while. I like him. I wish he was still in the world. Depression is a rough disease. When you feel suicidal, it's a fight to not kill yourself at a time when fighting for yourself is very difficult to do. It's day after day of hanging on & waiting for it to pass.
She had to have been devastated when he passed away. What a lucky woman. The interviewer that is... This man is the reason why I picked up a guitar. Wish you were here Kurt...
Erica Ehm was the interviewer. She at the very least must have felt the sting and harsh reality of life when she heard how he died. I was not a die hard fan but I appreciated his intellect, etc. I was like shit.....another good one has gone away.
She is a really good interviewer, she brings out a lot in him and keeps it very real and casual. I'm almost anticipating her questions as much as I'm anticipating the responses.
How sad is it that the people who have the most empathy and the best understanding of life are the ones who tend to suffer the most. I’m fascinated with him and convinced there will never be another mind like his.
Natalie L. Because you and those with your mindset actually LISTEN to those who suffer the most, the world is a better place. For those who do the suffering... this world is a place that they cannot patronize. Few and rare are the people who "get that". Bless your soul, doll.
This camera man is so good. Capturing details, following natural head movements. So personal. Wonderful questions from the interviewer. What an intimate look at a beautiful person.
This interviewer was excellent. Asked really interesting questions that could actually keep the person she was interviewing intrigued and not bored. I like her.
Such a naturalistic interview that looks and feels like a nice chat with Kurt. Even the footage, the quality of it, feels like it’s happening right now Well done, great work
@@GraftedOliveBranch You're sad! It's ironic how you probably love Kurt so much (rightfully; he seemed like a delightful guy), yet he'd hate the type of person you are, because you believe this type of shit.

This is the first time I listened to an interview with him. He seems so nice and a humble human being... And very intelligent. What a shame he’s gone now...
@Kristy Stone I agree. I've never seen a band that isn't very much known for their activism being as feminist as Nirvana. To outsiders, Nirvana is just an ordinary band. In my opinion, it's very good they did benefit concerts like "no on 9" and Rock for Choice. I really like how Kurt didn't think men had to be masculine and he also didn't like feminine stereotypes. There's tons of references in songs. He even made a cartoon depicting a sexist, racist and homophobic father, which is what the song Mr Moustache on Nirvana's first album Bleach is based on. Kurt was such an intelligent and funny dude.
@Jesper Jansen To be fair, much of his erratic behaviour is caused by his drug addiction. He wanted to stop his pain with heroin, but the drugs ruined his life. So in that sense, he's weak, but heroin can really change your brain. Also, I'm Dutch too lol
This is such a fantastic interview. The woman's conversational style really put Kurt Cobain at ease. On top of that she's asking these incredibly personal questions about his view of the world and Kurt is being so forthright, giving us these great glimpses into his personality. Hands down the best Kurt Cobain interview.
lightbeamrider He was known to be very guarded in interviews, including ones for publications which means no cameras. She made him feel at ease so I'm commending her.
This man has a very gentle open caring and young energy. I feel that from a young age he felt he wouldn’t live to reach old age, and despite being gentle and caring I also feel a deep sadness within him. This man, despite his celebrity status, presents as a very real and humble human being who is more about the music than the status
Blythe Angel Psychic Medium i know you commented on this months ago, but he actually from a young age WANTED to die at 27 because of Jimi Hendrix. If you read his diaries he writes about when he was 14 he wanted to kill himself to be like Jimi Hendrix and acknowledged that Jimi didn’t but when he was younger he thought he did. I’ve just always found it really ironic how he wrote about it and it later happened.
My take on this interview is that he really was an intelligent man, a free thinker, ahead of his time, a visionary who saw things in a different way, a bit of a loner, a great listener, articulate, relevant even now, fun, funny, witty, sarcastic humor without being offensive, full of life, relaxed, self aware, humble, obviously handsome, kind, killer smile, introvertive, unapologetic because he knows who he is, Real. The questions were well thought out. I really enjoyed this. Thank you for posting.
Betsy L That's the truth. He looks and sounds so healthy in this interview. His eyes are clear... he looks pretty healthy. He was so intelligent and creative. My heart still hurts. RIP Kurt 🌈😇💔🎤💔😇🌈
totally agree. after watching this interview I definitely don't think he committed suicide. especially since he was talking about his future and seemed very relaxed and happy about where he was and where he was going
The 90's before journalists would openly kick you in the teeth every time they got the chance. This kid is enlightened for sure whatever that means to you.
Bros Ent. Depression is a real disease which causes the chemicals in your brain to not work right, it causes real suffering. Other suffering in the world doesn’t discount people with depression’s suffering. Asshole.
Kurt Cobain was so damn self aware.... it amazes me. He doesn't mind saying he's selfish, or that he's narcissistic....lazy....etc.... mental health is important.
Depression really does that to you. The reason he is so beloved to certain groups of people is because we see ourselves in him. He reflected the hidden thoughts and feelings that a lot of depressed people have always felt. That's why I don't 100% follow the theory that he was killed by Courtney (though I also don't totally disbelieve it)... Existentialism is deadly. It feels like carrying the weight of the whole universe on your shoulders.
He's the furthest thing from being a narcissist, materialistic etc. He was cynic and very critical, not only on things, life and external matters but on himself as well, in fact he was to hard on himself, that's what depression does, it distorts reality, especially on themselves. He as a person, an artist and his movement in the early 90s truly represented the other side of that spectrum. These modern so called "artists" though 🤦♂️
He seems like such a sweet, self-aware, expressive, and intelligent person. You don't meet many people like him and it's tough to be one in this world, you can see it weighs on him. It's hard when you feel like you're the only person seeing what you see. You think something is wrong with you when it's just that you're more perceptive than everyone else. He has so much goodness in him but if you're around people who are fake, judgemental, and buy into all the BS around us, what makes you wonderful feels like a curse instead. I wish he had had more time on this earth but at the same time it would break my heart to see him try to cope with the modern day. RIP
The fact that I had literally goosebumps all over my body for the whole time he talked about "perfume" made me realize how much I neglected his uniqueness. I always carry that book with me and I've read it thousands of times; i always tend to feel that kind of weight you are talking about, and honestly I didn't think it was going to be that heartbreaking listening to his voce like this. I started listening them 2 years ago but never thought of listening to an interview, best 27 minutes of my life. This is the closest you'll ever come to a conversation with Kurt. It's by far the best interview he ever gave. He actually seems quite content.

I wish he didn’t die. I wonder what more joy and magic he would have brought to the world if he didn’t.
LJR 87 Kurt was amazing, but just reminding you that he wasn’t murdered, he committed suicide
LJR 87 you don’t have to know exactly how Kurt Cobain died to be a nirvana fan. Their music is still incredible

If someone says, "here is why you're wrong about this thing you did," he didn't get defensive but would instead question himself with the information provided, "was I actually wrong?"
This was the antithesis of the rock star persona he could've had where he could've constantly deemed his own worldview to be correct and anyone else questioning that is just some nerdy music journalist that doesn't understand shit or whatever defense rock stars generally have about being criticized.

KTS You could pull the trigger immediately after pushing in the syringe.

He's a really down-to-earth, introspective guy. His mind isn't burnt by drugs like some people who have used drugs for a while. I like him. I wish he was still in the world. @Charles Charlemagne He did not want to inspire anyone to use heroin themselves.

He's the furthest thing from being a narcissist, materialistic etc. He was cynic and very critical, not only on things, life and external matters but on himself as well, in fact he was to hard on himself, that's what depression does, it distorts reality, especially on themselves.
