They are more advanced actually, Bodypaint is way behind these programs but it is good to know bodypaint if you are C4D user.

Can you convert these materials to redshift automatically and keep this grunge damage? Thanks!

Yeah, it automatically saves textures in your save folder or save them manualy, then put them into your redshift material, some render engines' black and white value is different though so you may need to to invert and make some color correction .
