Ross I understand the Atto 3 will recognise road side speed signs. Is this true and also will it alter the vehicles speed to match those changed roadside speed limits. Cheers
Yes it sees road signs and a little sign pops up on the dashboard screen. I think you can set the car to change speeds automatically but I have not tried it yet.
@@cantab111 If you get it functioning let us all know how it works. When your driving in an unfamiliar area this would be a great feature to avoid inadvertent speeding fines. What will the government do when they can't rake in revenue from dodgy, inappropriate changes in speed on a lot of roads.
So if the service plans are different between Australia and new Zealand, would that be the local dealers or the companies who service the car made the price plan not byd themselves. We are still waiting for byd to come to the uk, hopefully next year
LOOKS nice but .... Nowadays, too much excitement and no "cold head" when buying anything is a bad sign. In the case of electric cars, it is even necessary to gain knowledge on the Internet before making a final purchase decision. UA-cam in particular is a "mine of knowledge". You can find out what they offer in other countries, on what terms, warranty details, operating costs, service costs, etc., etc. Australia / New Zealand is the smallest market in the world, so any new technological solutions are sold last here. The Australian safety approval system probably does not exist because Atto 3 has not yet passed the obligatory NCAP crash tests. In the case of BYD Atto 3, the sale is strange - only online, only 3 colors available, only in big cities, one showrooms , absolutely no prepared service base and technical personell. People from "My Car" companies ( in Australia) dealing with tire service so far - now they are also supposed to conduct BYD service inspections .... they don't know anything !!!! . What to check, how to check how often. It is shocking that the BYD car distributor for Australia commissioned these cars to be serviced as often as cars with conventional gasoline engines. But what to replace in the electric motor ???? . Oils, filters, catalyst, spark plugs ???? It is not here .... The prices for the service are also astonishing. I talked to several Chinese and the same car in China (Juan3) is checked once a year - brakes and suspension. Same with TESLA and MG. In Australia someone wants to make easy money and cash cows from drivers ..... Many people on the Internet do not hide their indignation , a lot of people gave up the purchase of Atto3 in favor of MG 4. I hope you will avoid unpleasant surprises. All the best.
What I’m particular is wrong with them? I understand they all have matrix LED lights, which are the newest kind that can project images, though Tesla have not implemented any advanced features yet besides in the light show.
@@justinseau The beam is patchy, some areas are brigher and other areas are darker. Found a video for you: ua-cam.com/video/hB5VhNJSX5Y/v-deo.html Look at the road with the low beam on. My model Y’s headlights are worse than the car in the video, it has a triangle dark area 20 meters in front. I tried to adjust the headlights to improve it but got worse results.
You guys are blessed in NZ and Australia, the Atto 3 in Singapore cost $188,000. Excluding car insurance. Go figure the stress of trying to buy a car in Singapore, most folks either rent or buy cheaper used cars. 😓😓😓
Great to see a nighttime video , haven't seen one before and it's well worth it
The front and rear light bars looks great
COngratulations!! this car is so cool, like it
Very Nice...!!! Thanks for showing us
my one will arrive next month
Thanks this answered a few thoughts I had after d/ldg and having a read of the Drivers Manual…… Laurie
Thanks so much for this video. I really love my Atto3 but I could really do with a manual!
Go to bydauto.co.nz and you can download the manual
@@cantab111 Thank you!
Beautiful car atto3 .
Great video. Focus a bit on your lens focus, and all is well. Please make more.
Hi
Does the air conditioning bad as said on other reviews ?
What color do front headlights have? Is it white?
if they have disco light flashing in the car, that would be popular for young people :)
They actually do, and there is a microphone for karaoke...
May I ask if the car comes with e-sim/onboard connectivity? If so, how much data can we use?
Yes and 2GB free for 2 years

BYD ATTO 3 THE BEST CAR
Try BYD Han😉
Also, can you install android apps through the micro sd card? Since their system is based off android
There is a complicated way of doing ot but I will wait for android auto play to come soon.
How to open center front light line?
this a dissing or comfort model ?
Nice video mate,How is the build quality? Any rattle? My brand new model Y has multiple….
It is well built no rattles and little wind noise. Just need some software updates
@@cantab111 sounds better than my Model Y😂😂 I hope BYD can bring more models to NZ market😃
Hello
Is it comfort or design trim please ?
Design
Try cleaning your camera lens for a clearer sharp picture
BYD Atto3 the best car is designed
Night drive means- showing the interior or tachometer while driving not outside's high beam.
But the high beam is what I wanted to test. As on another video the BYD Tang had a horrible high beam.
Good but unfortunate your camera didn't keep up with the autofocus.
I'd still be pissed that the warranty was watered down so much and covers very little.
they actually changed the warranty and servicing cost after people complaint about it
No problems with our warranty in New Zealand

@@lianghelena2821 it is the distributors that decide the warranties etc in consultation with their service providers.

The experience in New Zealand has been a lot better as we use existing dealers.
Is the rear view mirror auto dimming?
The headlights are way better than my model Y’s. They are garbage, worst LED headlights I’ve seen.

Australian aito 3's price is $16,000 more than China's market price.
Australian dollars are different from united state dollars. 1 USD is ~1.46 AUD. That is why there is difference in price.
Got to add shipping and handling costs + government taxes.
@@regularjoe9032 True, though I think Australian Government have taken off import taxes for EVs, or at least some of them.
