    Hi, it's great that you have made these videos to assist beginners. Well done.
    Here are some ACC variations drivers may wish to consider:
    The Atto will take off from stand still position with ACC activated, without have to use the accelerator on, however there is a bit of a lag that may frustrate some drivers and the drivers following you, particularly at traffic lights.
    Setting the ACC for a new speed whilst driving can be done with the toggle button as you have shown, however it won't work during acceleration. It requires a steady speed before it will allow you to set it as required.
    The ACC remembering your previous speed only happens during a current driving session.
    If the vehicle is powered off, it The ACC speed defaults to 30 kph again next time you start the vehicle. Some drivers have been caught with the vehicle travelling at much higher speeds then assuming the ACC will set at their current speed, they activate it and suddenly and very quickly and potentially dangerously their speed rapidly decreases to 30 kph.
    Also if there is no vehicle in front when ACC is activated and you approach a stationary vehicle at traffic lights or a stop sign or approach a vehicle that is driving much slower, the ACC sensors are currently way too slow to react and the slowing down effect is dangerously abrupt.
    Atto drivers may wish to consider using their brakes manually in these circumstances when they are driving with alertness to this situation.

      Totally agree particularly approaching a stationary vehicle you should manually brake.

    • @deepseer
      @deepseer Рік тому +2

      According to some tests in China, BYD's ACC usually makes more abrupt deceleration than most other brand's models. Some tests indicated that the sensor could detect the vehicle in front but the computer chose not to slow down until it had to.

    Hi, thank you for doing all of these tutorial videos, they're really very helpful.
    I couldn't quite make it out in the video, but does the ACC also break automatically when the car in front slows down? And can ACC also be turned on without having ALC on?

    Great video! 👏👏 I have two questions, if you can help me:
    1 - In my VW Golf, I can restart from a traffic light using the accelerator or pressing the RES button. Can it be done in the BYD?
    2 - the system that controls the steering wheel to keep you in the line: begins working automatically when you reach 60 km/h, or you have to press a button? In my VW, as soon as you reach this speed, it begins steering for you, and I'd love BYD to also work like that 👍
    Thanks for the video! 😁😁

    • @arnomijs3060
      @arnomijs3060 Рік тому

      It does not change automatically

    • @jimgraham6722
      @jimgraham6722 10 місяців тому

      It's semi automatic on decrease.
      If you are entering decreasing speed zones,, as soon as the camera has acquired the speed sign, pressing 'decrease' automatically slows the vehicle to the new speed limit. It doesn't seem to work with increasing speed limits.
      At speed engagement of the ACC initially sets the vehicle at the speed you are going,
      Subsequent presses, if increase change speed in increments of 5kmh, unless you are over the speed limit in which the first press of decrease will take you to the posted speed limit.

  • @niallerc1969
    @niallerc1969 Рік тому

    It's decent, but not faultless, it was running over the edge notifiers for me in a tunnel recently, now only testing its limits so keeping the hands on the wheel. Have you figured out how the hand sensors work, Leaf was a torque sensor that was easily solved by lowering the wheel so when your feet were off the pedals it provided enough resistance to fool the system** Not that I was never watching, just no comfortable spot in the leaf to rest your elbow on long drives with pro pilot.

    "Set" and "Reset" should be renamed "Current (speed)" and "Last (speed)".
    One of the Chinese words for "current, now" has the character "down", and the word for "last time" has the character "up". Therefore it's easy to memorize the directions in Chinese.

    Is there an option to reduce the power of the acceleration with ACC? When there is no a car in front of the car, it accelerates like formula1.. I want to accelerate more gently and calmly

      I’ve found in sport mode the vehicle brakes later and harder, I find that a bit off putting so I run active cruise and intelligent cruise in normal and eco mode for a slightly less intense commute 😁👍
