How to: save/copy DVDs & Blu-rays (Using DVDFAB)

- DVDFab is a powerful DVD/Blu-ray tool that can rip, burn, copy, etc just about anything. Since the software is so capable, I thought it might serve as a good tool to teach optical media noobs the basics of ripping, burning and cloning their movies.

Thank you for explaining this program well. I have been trying to find all of this information but only finding pieces in articles that assume if you are wanting to do it, then you clearly know the most tech advanced lingo. I wish I had found this months ago in my search... but now that I have... I'm saving it. Thank you!
Very lucid and helpful description of DVDFab. Is there a way to rip an an episodic dvd (such as Lost S1 D1) that will preserve the menu into the starting points of the episodes? Using DVDFab? Your help is appreciated. George
will, I bought mine DVD FAB ON LINE SEVEN YRS AGO. true. it will do exacting what it will do for DVD & BLUE-RAY.
Don't listen to TC, I liked your video and found it useful--thanks.
muchas gracias por tu video.
i have used blu ray creator and burned mkv files..played fine on my pc, played fine on my Samsung blu ray player but just black screen on every other player...i have tried burning the blu ray with a different burning software with the same issue
2:24 My laptop handles a 2 hr movie very well. I run a laptop Windows 8 with i7-550UH and it encodes a dvd in 12 minutes or less. Had no overheat problems.
MP4 is better plus it snap shots a video from the movie and saves it to your file. So, instead of your mp4 file looking like a typical file it now looks like an actual movie file with that picture of the movie. Sometime it will even take a snap shot of the title.
Hi. When i'm using DVDFab CREATOR to produce movie it CROPS most movies (NO BLACK BARS on top-btm).
Picture looks enlarged and very ugly but couldn't figure out what to do (unchecked "CROP AUTO" also in settings).
Any help?
Thanks.
I'm trying to burn a video onto a blu ray. The video is a fishing trip with friends and was shot on an action camera. I want to give them a copy and I would like to back up old home videos to BD disk. I have burned lots of DVDs over the years but BD burning is proving to be much more difficult. My fishing video that I have tried to burn withe the free trial version of DVD fab has failed. It will display a menu and will play audio with no video. I'm trying to play it on a ps3. It is the only only BD player that I have, but I will try to test the disk on my parents BD player when I can. The video is H.264 MP4. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any advise would be appreciated.
what's the fastest bluray drive external drive for ripping blu rays on dvdfab
I using a 64x model, Blu-ray’s take me a little 25-40 min max. I think Star Wars was the longest so far at approximately 40 min. CPU load is around 6-9% on. 12 core i9 processor with 64GB of ram.
1:47 Welp! MP4 is the way to go to watch a movie on the go.
I have many DVD's but I would like to put them on either blu ray High definition or Ultra HD16.9 with good sound. I know this can be done but I don't know how. I seen on youtube, a proper film of what I actually own. The picture quality is far superior. I tried using all sorts of software but nothing achievable. I feel at a loss of how to do this. As if there was something that can be enriched to make the picture and sound better, I would purchase this. Thanks for your help in this matter.
DVDFab does have a video enhancer, but it is VERY compute-heavy. It will require a high-end Nvidia GPU, and still take hours/days. As far as sound goes, I'm not aware of a solution there. I have also been playing with FlowFrames (Free) that doubles the frame-rate of video, making it appear smoother. I'm happy with FlowFrames for animation so far.
DVD Fab can rip blu ray discs, convert them, and burn them to DVD-R discs as a DVD.
Who is using inferior standard definition DVDs 2020?
Bluray are the norm and DVDFab duplicates and rips them just fine.
Here's a neat article with a chart showing Bluray vs DVD (and also digital purchase vs streaming). If we follow the trendlines, Bluray may indeed be higher than DVD at present, but not actually by much. Sadly its a fight for 2nd-last place too. Something to consider is that DVD options are still cheaper so these charts showing dollars spent would likely show higher DVD numbers compared to Bluray if showing discs sold instead. As for more recent numbers, it appears as the current state of events has actually greatly boosted DVD sales over Bluray!

Not looking to argue, just keep a cool conversation going :)
the matrix blue ray... the rip... sound will be out of sync I can't find a fix for this and this is the only movie I came across that has this problem , also subtitles won't play on tv but work fine on computer
I have the trial version of dvdfab ripper and it is so slow, i am at 52min running and only showing 10%
Hello
I'd like to start at the beginning as I'm not as technically minded as a lot of people on here so hopefully you'll forgive my ignorance...
I want to reproduce my blu rays, so record a blu ray onto a blanc blu ray disc. I bought a pioneer blu ray writer and am thinking of buying the Fab DVD software to do this. I'm not pirating films or anything like that. I buy music Blu Rays and like to keep them in great condition so want to make copies thereof for playing and if they get damaged I'll burn another copy thus keeping the original in good condition. Will DVD Fab allow me to rip a Blu Ray and then burn it to a blank Blu ray disc. Finally I note there is a programme DVD Fab sell that upscales the quality of the recording to 4K. Is that something worth having for what I'm doing? I have some old family videos that I will bur to disc perhaps the upscaler would be useful for that purpose? Please let me have your thoughts.
Many thanks
I've read reviews that say DVDFab's upscaler is pretty good, though it does require a beefy Nvidia Video card and it will be VERY time-consuming, plus the upscaler has to be purchased in addition to one of their rippers or converters. As for cloning Blu-Rays, yes. You'll want their Blu-ray Copy program. You'll save the original as an .ISO file (saving an exact copy of the disc on the computer), then also use DVDFab to extract that .ISO file back onto a blank disc.
Hey. Dunno if you will respond but, is this still able to be downloaded without initial payment? I have no problem paying for something that works, but going to their website I see there's like 20 different products or so.
You can download any of them and get a free trial without a card, if I remember right. In recent months I've played with their AI enhancer & enlarger as a trial.
Their software has a central launcher, and all of the apps are essentially DLC to the main app. Downloading DVD ripper will let you still trial DVD copy since you have the main app installed from whatever you tried first.
Does DVDFAB also bypass authentication on the dvd?
Of the hundreds of movies I've ripped, only 1 has not worked.
You can use make MKV it's free . The only reason you'd want to use dvdfad is if you're ripping 3D and converting them to side by side
Nope, after the 30day trial you can't use it for Blue rays anymore until you buy it
@@thedarkside3899 I still use my after the 30 days .
My dvdfab is hacked version not paying for it
@@MyIronman8 nah I am talking about makemkv. I bought DVDfap today. Works perfectly
MKV is very limited, it did not rip most of blu rays, dvdfab works on all
thx. .also for other nice features, google ZillaTube

If you're looking to save copies of my content, you can do so from LBRY. Since uploading my content there a few months ago, I've noticed the lack of extra video compression from this site really does a lot for quality.
1h for a blue ray? What drives u using? Oo. It takes me roundabout 20min for a movie.
H265 is what you want
Are the keys for life ? Or for one year
You can buy either
pourrait on parler français en France s'il vous plait!!!
Protection?? ISO do you mean copy protection, does not make sense.
why is this even a video in 2018? ive been ripping DVD's since they came out on the internet. and indeed ive also used DVDfab when it came out and other app's before it came out.
I'm a newbie to this (an old, retired from the daily grind newbie) so I found it to be helpful.
Monkey magic
80s porn music
The only problem is, the Chinese make crappy shit that doesn't last very long. No wonder my DVDFab stopped working.
I WANTED TO BUY, BUT NOW THAT I KNOW IT'S A CHINESE SOFTWARE ,I'M AFRAID
