  • One of the most common causes of spasms is involuntary muscle tightness. This makes it challenging to move or relax muscles and overtime has a serious impact on muscle health.
This routine helps towards mobilizing the joint and reducing the tension in the muscle. This helps towards better posture, improved circulation and a reduction in pain

Never underestimate the benefits of a decent cushion either! I'd had mine for nearly 3 years and ordered a new one from my local wheelchair services (NHS) last week. I hadn't realised how much pain I was in until I put the new cushion on! My muscle spasms have improved quite significantly too. 😊

Thank you for this video. I am a neurological nurse and it is always interesting to see different ways to reduce spasms in our patients. Your experience and that of many others who post these types of videos helps us a lot to find solutions for everyone. Thank you from France !

I don't. But I made another video that's a little more gentle on your back. It's called the best stretch for wheelchair users

I find I can do all the leg exercise I want. And for a short period of time, my legs are less stiff/spasmy. But give it an hour and they're exactly as they were before the excercise :(
