I watched this video a year ago when I was overweight and depressed. You have helped me change my life and I went from 250 pounds to 170. Thank you so much doctor!!!
I'm 29 and have been heavily drinking alcohol for more than 10 years everyday. I stopped today and am giving my liver a chance to heal If it will Pray for me guys. Much love !!!
Good work! Keep forward! Im trying to convince my husband to stop.. but its not that easy.. he always tells me he need it to calm down and sleep after work
I started 16:8 intermittent fasting & Keto on January 1st of this year. I was 392 pounds. Now I'm down to 288 in just 7 months. No exercise. No tracking. It's absolutely amazing.
@@suigeneris6397 No. It's not. Chronic obesity, hypertension, insulin-resistance, heart disease and countless other obesity-related co-morbidities are terrible for you. Ever since I've been on keto, my blood pressure, cholesterol and all other measurable factors are now down within normal limits for the first time in my life. These are facts and evidence, not feelings and opinions.
I am 35yr old, my weight before starting IF was 91kgs . I started on Feb 3rd 2023, till now I had lost 5.3 kgs in 40days , without any exercise and with moderate workplace activity, I am feeling much better than before, more active than before . Now I started going for a walk/jogging in the morning, let's c the results.. Thanku Dr Eric, for bringing this change in my life... I will keep updating my results Feb 3rd - 91.2kgs Feb 15th- 88.1kgs Mar 1st - 87.5kgs Mar 15th - 85.8kgs.... (Update)Last 2weeks had lot of parties and cheatmeals April 1st : 84.5 kgs April 15: 83.6 kgs May 15th : 81.9 kgs ( total 9kgs down) June 27th : 80.8 kgs ( total 10kgs lost). I combined IF with evening jogging for 45min..
Nope, working out in a fasted state is where you see the best benefits. My suggestion is to just take your time. I didn't wake up and just so all of that. I started with the diet, then added the gym and finally the IF. Each of those steps was also tiered. Make one change at a time and listen to your body.
I have lost 60 lbs on keto, and now eat 2 meals a day on the 16 hr. fasting w/ an 8 hr. window of eating. I rarely eat any snacks, and almost never feel hungry. I am 80 years old, and have no medical conditions. ❤️‼️
Started Keto on 01-19-19 at 324lbs. As of today 01/31/19, I am at 295lbs. All thanks to Keto and intermittent fasting. Most of the time I'm not even hungry. I probably losing a lot of water weight but I don't care, for the first time in 20 years I weigh under 300lbs. I'm so happy I could cry.
Congrats.I was at 340, years ago and through sheer will and killing myself in the gym and with yoga I got down to 208. Later having knee surgery and with the help of weed ballooning back to 300. In 3 weeks I'm at 276. Just remember make this a complete FOR LIFE lifestyle change. Once u have been fat you will always be way more susceptible to gaining it back. I never thought I could or would do it again this last time. Keep going bruh and I too am amazed how easy I F really is and how well it truly works.
That is so wonderful! I am just now starting and it feels scary. I hope to hear that you have continued on this path and that it's still working for you...
I’m on day 7 and have lost over 10 pounds . I am doing the 20 hour fasting 4 hours eating , I’m also just eating protein and veggies no sugar after watching your no sugar video . Thank you so much you videos are truest saving my life . I was diagnosed with pre diabetes . Thank you for what you do . God bless
@@Shwalker1214 I eat my one meal at 3pm and then eat my next meal the next day at the same time 3pm . It’s the easiest way for me . I’m now at almost 1 month and have lost about 27 pounds
I've been using a home grown version of this and have gone from 380lbs to 250lbs with only diet and walking. Your videos have helped me understand what happened during the weight loss. I'm fine tuning my diet with your advice to be even more effective, 30 more lbs to loose. I'm 52, was recently talking to some guys in my age group. One brought up the fact that he missed how well he felt in his 30's and wished he felt that way again. Went around the group with everyone saying the same thing until me, I feel much better than I did in my 30's. I don't have chronic pain or problems and am more active with 0 medications now. Terrible to have wasted that part of my life, but wonderful that I found a solution and made changes before it's too late. Now I want to take those vacations with my wife to the beach, instead of staying locked in the room and grumpy! Funny how much the ancients knew about diet, psychology, etc that we usually ignore today...
My method is fasting 24 hours from dinner to dinner. I have found that I only have to refuse the huge, terrible urges to eat for 15 minutes or so and the hunger urge disappears. And when I finally sit down to eat a fabulous high fat meal I can’t finish all that I have loaded on my plate.
I told everybody in my office this is what I have been doing to shed weight (they laughed about long periods of not eating ) . My boss went to the doctor and He prescribed intermittent fasting to her 😂👏.
I can testify to this. I do two meals over a 6 hour period and I have lost 57 lbs. I'm almost never hungry. I sometimes forget to eat my second meal. I don't count calories, I eat pretty much what I want. I did count my calories one day. I had a 1020-calorie breakfast and a 700-calorie dinner and I burned about 400 calories on my daily bike ride. That's a total of about 1300 calories for the day and I can't describe the feeling of bliss that I feel after 18 hours of fasting, like I am totally content and won't ever need to eat again. I started fasting because I was having a lot of issues with heartburn and a sour stomach. I didn't know about the weight loss part of it until I watched one of your videos. By the way, the heartburn and stomach issues cleared up that first night that I didn't eat dinner and they've not come back. I was insulin resistant before. I'd eat 3 to 4 thousand calories a day, always hungry and craving junk. I had a huge belly and felt terrible. My cravings for carbs have gone. I eat way more meat and vegetables now. some Fruit and some bread but not like before. My typical breakfast is huevos rancheros with bacon and greek yogurt. my dinner is usually a small piece of grilled chicken, pork, beef, or fish and a large salad with lots of bell peppers mushrooms and other vegetables and a bowl of berries with cream. I don't eat between meals and I drink water or unsweetened tea. I been riding my bicycle 7 miles a day and I'm getting ready to ramp that up to 10 for a bit and then 15 to 20 as I get my fitness back after having not done much riding during the winter. Just riding 7 miles a day has really got the weight coming off now. I hope to be at my goal of 108 lbs. lost by June. I started at 268 lbs. and I'll finish at 160. I know I'll eat like this the rest of my life. I wish I would have know this in my 20's. Thank you for all the videos. I've recommended this to many people but I think they can't get over the idea that they will be super hungry if they try it. I like to ride my bike in the morning when I've been fasting since 2 pm. the day before and to my utter surprise I can do it just fine. I don't even feel hungry at the end of my ride. That's because my body switches to burning fat easily now. I never "hit the wall" anymore.
This is true, I have been doing 20:4 fasting since a few months ago, I eat as normal for dinner and yes I lost noticeable weight!! I realized that being "hungry" is OK and we do not need to feed the hunger immediately!! Just drink water and move on.
Time for me to listen to Dr. Berg! I need to lose 90 lbs and deal with health problems. Starting today! EDIT: Ok...well I did not expect over 200 people to react to my post!🤣 So here's the scoop. I had a tough family setback and it took some time to get into the right frame of mind. So honestly I did not start on the day I said " staring today!" Well...the next day my world was challanged. But as of 7 days ago I have felt transformed already! I've lost 5 lbs in 7 days with intermittent fasting! I'm starting to exercise and feel so focused already. Thank you to everyone for you encouraging words! It has reallly helped me feel like we can all attain our goals! I will deffinatley keep you posted as I reach new goals! Now I would like to encourage anyone who had a rough start that it's ok...don't panic...you'll have that day when you just are ready to go for it! Stay strong everybody! 💪 All the best!😁
I lost that 90lbs in 6 months. I did 48 and 72 hr fast a few times that really propelled it. Was not perfect and fell off some weekends and got out of fat burn and it takes a few days to get back into the burn so be patient and allow yourself mistakes. I did OMAD WITH 500 CALORIES. You dont need much food when you are that overweight. Make sure you drink a salt and potassium water but not alot. Good luck
It truly works I've lost 20 pounds in 3 months. But sadly during quarantine I gained my weight back (I have bulimia and I suffer with depression). Its going to be hard losing it again. I'm restarting again tommorow wish me luck!
So happy for you! Im still at the bottom face of dysmorphia, :( started this 20-4 fasting thing and have lost some weight but get fustrated when I don’t wake up with the desired results already lol seems to be a slow process. It’s been almost 2 weeks.
@@marquezrosa2085 don't listen to that crap. Throw in an extended fast supported by electrolytes (search snake juice recipe) and bust through the plateu.
This has changed my life. Down 31 pounds and 80 more to go. Also doing fasted cardio. Walking in the morning while my body is still in the fasting state. I'm gonna reach my goal and I'm scheduled to walk a 5k in April!
I practised OMAD and fasting 20 - 24 hours - eating keto - over 6 months - I lost 30kgs, am no longer on BP medication - my sugars & cholesterol are down. I feel amazing
Yes, I wish all Americans spoke like him. I hate when people shout in a video or on the phone. Hurts my ears. The worst is when they stand close to you and talk as if you’re deaf or 50 feet away.
When you said “no matter what you eat, you will spike insulin”... it woke me up ! I’d been cheating with bites of healthy foods...no more. Thank you Doc, I needed to hear that.
@@maegallegos5237 only make sure to have enough electrolytes and the correct ratio: healthy fats vs proteins. The calories will reduce because your hunger will decrease, so don't worry about calories.
So far I have done this since December of 2017. It is July, I am on the 16:8 and have been that whole time. I’m starting to slow down to 1lb to 2lbs per week. But I have lost around 130lbs thus far. It really works for me and I appreciate this video! Doesn’t mean it fits everyone, but I just wanted to leave my genuine appreciation in the comments.
viena517 did you do IF everyday? Can we let go on weekends? And how do you complete your calories are yoh dividing them in 3 meals? Please let me know.
Aisha Shaikh so I did mine a little different. I worked at 6am. So I started eating at noon. I stopped at 8pm. Water water water... in between. And for my morning pick me up I had a sugar free monster. For the first month I had a cheat day once a week. The second month twice a month and then I kind of kept that for the next 6 months. I waited until I saw the plateau started. Then I did a little different I did an 18:6 so that I had the ability to get to that 20:4. My meals were very simple. Whatever I wanted, lol. Whatever I wanted to eat in that 8 hours, I did. If I wanted 6 small meals, sure, 2 medium meals absolutely. And sure I had some awesome meals days where I cooked and like did the healthy thing and then I had the 3 slices of pizza meals. When I got to the 6 hour window that was rough really rough because I was so used to eating for 8. I only go to the gym once a week. 10 minutes of hardcore cardio warm up 30 minutes of lifting and core training and a 10 minute medium level cardio cool down, then 45 minutes of a relaxing swim. I saw my energy triple quickly. Apparently I only require 4 hours of sleep. It’s insane! Now I’m on the 20:4... I’m rarely hungry. Sometimes my alarm will go off to tell me it’s time and I’ll just click it and forget. But I do eat two meals in that 4 hour window, they are just very small and very close together, because my body just doesn’t require what it did before. A lot of peanut butter, the natural kind. That has always helped the hunger in the beginning and now the sugar drop I experience.
Also now for cheat days I have those once to twice a week, because I’m far more active than I was before, so I’m constantly on the go, because I can’t sit for very long, it drives me crazy. A lot of things I have missed out on have come my way. And the fact that I didn’t have to have a weight loss surgery to aid me in this journey is 100% the biggest blessing this video could have ever done. I wish this was around when I was a teenager... but it’s cool I’m 35 but do not look it. Lol. I’ll take it. I’ll post a pic to help.
Thank you so much Dr. Berg. I lost 5kls in 15days! I am so happy with the results. I started doing 3 meals a day to 2 meals a day and now doing 23 hrs fasting! For the past 5 years after having 2 kids, I was feeling insecure beacuse of my weight and now I can walk with so much pride thinking that I achieved something in my life! It's been a long time to feel this way! More blessings to you!
I have lost 80lbs since last 26th April and I have managed to eat only one meal a day without being hungry. I don't use my wheelchair anymore and I only use one crutch when I have to walk outside the house. Fasting is really great. It also activates the longevity genes.
@@ayanwaleopeyemi1406 lowering your carb intake to the minimum you need. This is different for every person and lifestyle, but is usually in the 50 - 75 grams a day range. If you want to lose weight, you don't need to go that low, but sub-100 is very effective when combined with other methods of weight loss. The principle behind keto is that fat is king, and insulin is evil (not completely evil, turns out it does a LOT of important things) so if you eat fat for energy, 2 things happen, your liver fires up fat burning enzymes, and your insulin levels drop and level out. Well, if you exercise more calories than you eat, the enzymes will take it from your fat cells. And since your insulin is low, and few carbs are present, your body will not make more fat. BUT keto affects everyone differently, and it has one large drawback. It is a lifestyle change. ie, permanent. I have done this and lost 60 pounds, but the rebound if you go back on carbs is INSANE. This is what Dr Berg is talking about when he says you can't lose weight with insulin running the show. It is EXTREMELY effective at replacing fat.
I lost 25kg in 3 months. I joined the gym, used a really basic push/pull/legs work out routine, then used intermittent fasting 18hours off and 6 hours on (worked for my job at the time). Went from 115kg to 90kg. Best decision I ever made.
Thank You Dr. Eric Berg. From 81kg to 76kg in just 1 Month started last month and it really works. At first it is very hard but now Intermittent fasting is just like normal to me.
Bible Lover Light actually doctors always tell you to eat breakfast because it supposedly the most important meal of the day. I never eat breakfast. Lunch and dinner that’s eat.
@@Maddie9185 One of the downsides of skipping breakfast is that your liver produces a burst of glucose spiking your insulin to compensate for missing this important meal making it a bit risky especially for Diabetics.
Most doctors hand out pills because that's has over the years become their job! Due to the influence of large pharmaceutical companies. It starts in med school, it's what they are taught to do. there's a pill for everything these days!
I'm here today 02 June 2021, I am starting today. I need a lot of prayers and positive thoughts. Hoping to come back in a year with a positive update. 🙏 07 Feb 2022 (update) I am still working hard, have lost over 25kgs. I am happy. My body has adjusted so well to the fasting. I dont even feel hungry anymore. I had a difficult December but bounced back last month and have been loosing steadily still. Thank you for your positive words, changing decades of bad eating is not easy. 🤗
Ayinde Mitchell First off congratulations! That’s awesome, keep up the good work! How long had you been IF for at your 60lbs post? Also when you do eat, are you doing Keto or low calorie intake, or eating super clean? Or do you eat whatever you want within your eating window? Lastly are you working out too if so appx how often? Thank you in advance for your time any info you provide will be greatly appreciated! 😊
JustJess I started IF in February. Not including any Keto within my fasting. I did lower my sugar intake though. I stopped drinking alcohol in Jan. I believe that helped drastically in my wright loss. I'm down to 280 now and doing 19:5 daily. My diet consist of lots of salad to break my fast. My salads are amazing. I make amazing salads! LOL! Lots of Oranges and fresh fruit. I exercise as far as stretching and Cardio currently. I do about 9-11K steps a day from having active kids and my business. The inches I have lost are the most mind-blowing thing. Note to everyone: wear your nice clothes asap. They won't be wearable in a short amount of time. The clarity that comes with it is worth the journey.
Ayinde Mitchell hi just want clarify about the 6hour eating window do you eat 3 meals each day and no snacking? I wamted to do it 2meals each day is it ok? Your reply is appreciated as wanna start IF tomorrow.
Marie Silva Howdy Marie! In my 6 hour window (Soon to be 5 hour since I've changed to a 19:5 window) I eat 2X's. My 1st meal consist of as many Oranges (cutties too) as I can eat, then Lots of Greens. I go for the 7 to 10 cups like Dr. Berg says with lots of fixings. Sometimes I don't eat that until 20 or 21 hours. Those days feel amazing. That 20 hour mark is magical. It's obvious why the experts say that now. And for my 2nd meal, I usually have what I cook for everyone else. Just less of it. You need less food because of IF. Cut down on the carbs if possible but you don't really have to from my experience. You'll still lose weight and inches from the internal changes. I have to increase my exercise rate. I'm down to 280 with not much exercise. Adding HIIT more frequently would have me in the 260 range fa sure! Hope that helped.
I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for a year. 20:4. I weighed 287lbs when I started and I’m now 200 lbs. Instead of keto, I would try the Mediterranean diet (one of the things it does is subs high glycemic index carbs like bread (any bread, even multigrain or dark-colored), white pasta, potatoes, and white rice with whole grains (whole grain pasta, quinoa, barley) and sweet potatoes; these are more healthy as they have more fiber and this slows down digestion and therefore dumping of sugar into the bloodstream, so you don't get as hungry right away. Add fat like butter to these carbs or olive oil for more satiety and less desire for snacking. No snacking except for occasional fruit! It's easier to maintain and healthier in my opinion (I'm a medical practitioner). Good luck!
I am 52 years old and only eat twice a day. First meal is at 1 or 2pm. I then eat a small dinner at 6 or 7. I weigh the same weight that I did in college.
I'm 65 and same. Depending on main exercise type of running, swimming, or cycling in any given year, I'd fluctuate 168 to 178 lbs (muscle gain mostly). I must admit that I lost weight using intermittent fasting. I lost 10 pounds within a month and have been able to keep it off. I do eat whatever I want, but I stop eating at 6 PM and I start again at noon the next day. So far so good. Thanks Doc!
Years ago I started depression eating. Lost a child, went through a divorce. I went from my normal weight of about 200 lbs up to 360 lbs in about a year. Then after a few years, started therapy, started healing emotionally. I started reading a lot about losing weight, and instead of the normal 3 large meals with snacks in between, I started a system where I would only eat between 8am and 6pm, every 2 hours only handful sized portions 6 times per day, less than 1000 calories per day, higher protein, lower carbs. And did a 5 day water fast every month. Moderate cardio and strength exercises every morning except weekends. I went from 260 back to 200 in just under 6 months. Has been my routine for several years now, and my weight only fluctuates between 200-220, which is ideal for my height and build.

Robert Green So Robert Green must be one of the fools who gave this video a thumbs down. The person in the video is genuine doctor. Do you actually believe he is a fake doctor? Although anyone can post a video on UA-cam, real experienced professionals also use UA-cam to demonstrate their specialty.
@Robert Green what kind of shape is your doctor in? Most physicians I know are so out of shape they are the last persons I would ever take health advice from. You have a whole lot of learning to do but I doubt you will ever get there with your attitude. What are you doing here anyway? We are here to learn from a real professional. Thanks to doctors and just some very educated channels I am 71 and I can knock off over 300 pushups per day no sweat. How about you?

Gotta check out Dr Jason Fung if you haven't heard of him. Just wrote a book called 'The Obesity Code' and he's got another book out called 'The Complete Guide to Fasting'. He really explains the benefits of IF and low carb diets.
Intermittent fasting has been my lifestyle for over a decade now. Not only does it keep your weight in check, but the mental clarity you get throughout the day is the main reason I love it!
People have been telling me all my life that why dont u eat? Its not good to skip meals and bla bla bla…i just dont feel good eating more than 2 meals a day..in fact most days i feel awesome eating just 1…
I'm not a big eater, but for whatever reason, I pack on the pounds. So when the pandemic hit I started walking about 3 miles a day and eating less but really wasn't seeing much in the way of results. A few months into that I finally watched this video as my wife had suggested and to keep it short; I lost 50 pounds in about 120 days and more importantly have kept it off for over a year now. Good luck.
I can’t thank you enough Dr.berg ❤ I struggled with my weight for 10 yrs, visited a numerous amount of nutritionists in person & online, but always gained the weight back. With your help (Keto & Intermittent Fasting) I finally managed to keep the weight off for 12 months now. Super proud of how far I have come. PS: 42 mom of 3, workout 3 times a week.

Thanks for making this video. This was one of the videos that I watched before I decided to try Intermittent Fasting on July 15. In 30 days I lost 17 pounds. I was only eating twice a day and my window went from 8 hrs down to only 4 hrs. On Aug 21st I started OMAD (one meal a day) I have lost another 5 pounds. I started at 176 and now I am 155 which is my Highschool weight. I have been on all kinds of "diets" for the past 10 years and this by far is the best thing I have ever done for myself

Very clearly explained. I was doing a 16:8 by skipping dinners long before I knew what intermittent fasting was and saw rapid weight loss. Now that I know the science behind it, I can plan accordingly. Thank you Dr. Berg.

Intermittent fasting changed my life! I now have a daily feast. I enjoy my life and do whatever I want until it's time to eat in the evenings. Love this video.
I started around March at 290lb I’m at 240 now and it’s awesome!!! I’ve also recently been able to start the 20hr fast 4hr eating window and it’s no longer a chore.
Using intermittent fasting, I went from 335 lbs. to 265 lbs in 6 months. The strangest thing is how much less hungry I am than when I ate all the time.
I feel that way now, Scott. I've lost hundreds of pounds in my life, normally in chunks of 100+ at a time, only to gain it all back. Diet and exercise super hard, and after a year or so I give up and go back to my old ways because it's so difficult. Started Keto in Feb and I went from 370 to 305 lbs as of today. Still got a ways to go, but I'm never hungry. I do 16/8 as its really easy and manageable. I'm never hungry, and I'm really diggin it as far as a diet goes. Hopefully I can keep the pounds off this time. Wish you luck buddy!

I just completed a 50 hour fast. It was easy. After stuffing my face for years, I stopped eating at 5pm. Wouldn't eat until 5pm the next day. There were few days at the beginning where I wanted to pull over for some fast food, but I drank black coffee and water. It wasn't too bad. Now, two weeks later, I don't have the cravings anymore. I'm mobile most of the day. No heavy lifting, but walking stairs, etc. I pushed it for the 48 hour fast and got to 50. I cooked a rib eye, some Greek Salad, and some asparagus. Made a smoothie with coconut milk, spinach, kale, avocado, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries. I'll be good for tomorrow. Started at 212 lbs and weighed in this morning at 186.4. Not bad for two weeks. Gut is still there, but I am noticing definition in my face and neck. I suppose we lose from the outside inwards. Maybe the gut will be the last to go. Definitely have a lot more energy, focus, clarity. These videos helped me tremendously.
I’m doing two keto meals a day, 12 hours apart. In the last week, have lost 6 pounds. Also, walking about 8k steps per day. Update: After 6 weeks, lost 13 pounds. Still two meals daily. Still walking.
@@Rosesraspberries72 Update for you: I have plateaued at a 15 pound loss. Been stuck there for several weeks. Still two meals a day. Not walking as much, however. I’m biking 24-32 miles per week. Losing the next 6 pounds to reach my goal of 185 has been like pushing a big rock up hill. I’m at 191ish right now. Thanks for the well-wish.
I am 53 years old and have always been active but could never figure out the perfect diet and exercise combo to get me that elusive GQ athletic physique. Intermittent fasting has absolutely been the final piece to the puzzle. I started keto and IF about a year ago with the advice I received from Dr Berg's YT videos. I have now been on the 20:4 schedule for the past 4 months and have finally leaned off the last 5 lbs needed to properly bring out my chest and abs. If you've done years of training and dieting only to continually be frustrated by your results you've got to give this a go. I started by simply giving up bread and sugar for the 1st month and slowly progressed from there. I now only need to work out half as much and still maintain the look I desire. My greatest satisfaction is in helping others achieve similar results. If you stay the course you will be rewarded. Feeling Minnesota at 6'3" 180lbs. Thanks Dr Berg!
The power of eating a healthy diet and Intermittent fasting has changed my life tremendously. Down 110 pounds in less than a year. Thank you Doctor Berg for all that you do.💯❤️💪🏼

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Dr Berg, I have been following your advice on Intermittent fasting and reversing diabetes-insulin resistance - In 6 months I have lost around 18kg, I have taken my HBA1C from 50-60 to 37mmol (in the UK 20-41 is considered normal range) and I have been told I appear to have reversed my diabetes and my blood pressure is also much improved! This is just intermittent fasting 16-8, a lot of walking and some functional fitness along with an almost KETO Diet with very low amounts of carb 2 days a week! I have so much energy and no longer rely on energy drinks!

This doctor is amazing. I've been doing Intermittent Fasting for years now. The benefits are wonderful, I went from 205 to 175 in 2 1/2 months and from a 36 waistline to a 31 waistline.
I do the 20/4 for about 3 months and I can tell you guys! It's amazing! I feel more energetic, sleeping better, training better. It's all good! Thank you doctor for sharing this with us.
@@gardencity316 I have been doing IF for about 6 months, but before I was doing 16/8 (16 hours of IF and 8 hours of eating). I do it Monday to Sunday. A precious tip for fasting is to use the sleeping time to do the fasting, otherwise the tentation of snack something will be very strong. If you are starting doing fast now, I would suggest you to start with 16/8 and then move to 20/4.
Folks, Remember, you can also do 18:6 eating window! It does not have to be 8, or 4, hours only. The 8 hours window is the widest one, the 4 hours window is the narrowest, (aside from the 1 meal per day one). However, you can do a 6-hour window, or 7-hour, or 5-hour one. Remember that too! Find YOUR OWN best one to begin at, that makes YOU comfortable, and go from there! You will be amazed! Dr. Berg, simply, did not have enough space on the board to write it all out, and keep the letters large enough to be seen on camera. ... Dr. Berg, Yours truly, A greatful follower
I get almost 50% more benefits on 18/6 then 16/8. From what I hear the big benefits from fasting happen about 12 hours into a fast. Those extra 2 hours are huge.

I'm 46, I was 220lbs (100kg), always done a lot of sports, I play hockey twice a week and Trailrun about 30km (19 miles) a week For about 2-3 months I read and listen to a lot of Video's from You and Tom Delauer and them my mind was set. From a 5 Meals a Day guy with that being a sugar and alcohol addict, I started the 2 Meals a day with a window of around 16/20:4 depending on days. I now weight 180lbs (81.5kg). Took around 4 months to loose all those 40lbs (18.5kg). If you believe in yourself and have the inner power, then you can achieve anything.

@@kuluku_boy I typically try to eat on the healthy side but I’m only human & if I go out to dinner for example I don’t restrict myself from something I want to enjoy… I honestly just eat less of whatever it may be because if you restrict yourself too much in my opinion you’re just setting yourself up for failure & will most likely result in binge eating . I suggest eating less than what you normally would. For me personally I noticed results in 2 weeks but I was also doing 30 mins of cardio 3xs a week. It works.
Reallly
I pity them 🤣 they don't know about IF.
Lmao that's such a good indirect clapback 😂😂
lmaoooo
😂
Keep it up Buddy don't let yourself down!

I'm down 7 in my first 10 days. Keep it up brother!
This is amazing!!!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing! I'm sure people will ask you what you have been eating in this one meal!
That is wonderful!!! May the improvements continue.

Hi, what did you eat for that one meal?
With strict keto and intermittent fasting, I went from 265 lbs to 169 lbs in 11 months. I feel amazing!

Sorry what is keto
How exciting!!! I’m so happy for you.
How was your post-body condition? I am afraid to lose 50 lbs because I don't want my skin to hang.

This is the best medical advise out there, I can't believe doctors aren't teaching their patients this stuff instead of just handing out pills.
Perhaps they make more money off you being sick and unwell than if you were healthy

seriously I just really want to congratulate you. Idk why I feel so proud of a stranger's progress.
Good luck!

I am so blessed to start intermitting fasting. I started 16:8, and for 6 weeks I lost 10lb. I will help my community and coworkers.
Wow! Great work! How long did it take to go from 360 to 260 lbs?

I'm not a big eater, but for whatever reason, I pack on the pounds. So when the pandemic hit I started walking about 3 miles a day and eating less but really wasn't seeing much in the way of results. A few months into that I finally watched this video as my wife had suggested and to keep it short; I lost 50 pounds in about 120 days and more importantly have kept it off for over a year now. Good luck.
2 months after watching this video I’ve gone from 256 to 236. Got a long way to go but it feels amazing

I struggled with my weight for 10 yrs, visited a numerous amount of nutritionists in person & online, but always gained the weight back.
With your help (Keto & Intermittent Fasting) I finally managed to keep the weight off for 12 months now.
Super proud of how far I have come.

Tommy Huynh Can i add stevia and 1 tsp milk in my tea during fasting?

Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing 💞👏👏👏
@@kingboy280 Thank you so much for sharing. This is absolutely awesome to read. Gives me tears of joy. If you encounter barriers to your progress again, reach out on Dr Berg's channels, including his Facebook group. There are many people able to help fast.
So happy for you!!! I love hearing testimonials!

I do the 20/4 for about 3 months and I can tell you guys! It's amazing! I feel more energetic, sleeping better, training better. It's all good! Thank you doctor for sharing this with us.
Bruno Rinaldi how many time per week or month do you fast?
@@gardencity316 I have been doing IF for about 6 months, but before I was doing 16/8 (16 hours of IF and 8 hours of eating). I do it Monday to Sunday. A precious tip for fasting is to use the sleeping time to do the fasting, otherwise the tentation of snack something will be very strong. If you are starting doing fast now, I would suggest you to start with 16/8 and then move to 20/4.
Folks,
Remember, you can also do 18:6 eating window!

Started today 18: 6. Quite excited to see what gonna happen.
I get almost 50% more benefits on 18/6 then 16/8. From what I hear the big benefits from fasting happen about 12 hours into a fast. Those extra 2 hours are huge.
You'll love it I feel fantastic adding 2 bonus hours. I hear OMAD is even better but I am not there yet to do that.

As he mentions in the video adding exercise will speed up the results even more. I hope this helps, wishing you luck on your journey!
@@CoreTradingMastery hey! I’m no doctor but from my personal experience currently I am eating one big meal a day with some healthy snacks as well. If you don’t get tired of drinking water that’s awesome but there’s so many options out there that you’ll be surprised you’ll enjoy & are still considered healthy. If you’re a coffee drinker I recommend this awesome protein shake that I break my fast with everyday, it’s called premier protein shake & they have some pretty delicious flavors, I add half black coffee unsweetened & half of the premier shake (café latte flavor is my personal fave) & it’s a great substitute with way less calories plus protein is great when wanting to lose weight. I’m still overweight myself & it’s a journey but I truly hope this helps. Try to see if there’s any healthy food spots in your neighborhood, you’ll be surprised how good it is! Good luck!!
