I really like the “KETO clearance finds” segment. Thank you for the reviews and the heads up what’s worth trying and what’s worth avoiding. Took one for the team on the lighter fluid cracker - you’re our hero!
I second both sentiments! (And I like how, as you started the video, it seemed you had already started having a good time together, which was all the better because, first cracker...!)
Love these Clearance Keto videos with you and Courtney. I have found that for Almond Crackers, I like the Simple Mills sea salt flavor. Pre-keto I loved saltines with butter, these work well just putting butter on them for me.
those products are about 4 - 5 x the price in CAD. So this evaluation is good to know. I would make homemade keto crackers myself, but rolling out dough is a pet peeve of mine.
Thank you for saving me money on poor tasting keto crackers. I appreciate you two bravely taste testing so many items and look forward to the frosting review.
We have a "Grocery Outlet" in my town. They often have keto stuff pretty cheap, and occasionally bargains that are amazing, usually for items nearing expiration date, like 87 cents for a box of 8 Quest cookies. I ate those right away, lol.
I have made a lot of keto cakes, both scratch and mix. I highly recommend the King Arthur Baking company mix. Better than anything else I tried and tastes (to me) like real chocolate cake. When I make it, I use melted unsalted butter instead of vegetable oil. I always make cupcakes and then freeze whatever I don't want to use immediately so it won't be accessible to tempt me and I can stretch out the mix to last a year. These are a treat for my birthday, Easter, Christmas, and Mother's Day, not an everyday thing. I think of it as "better than sugar/flour/seed oil" not a nutritious "whole food" anyone should eat often. It's about 8 bucks on Amazon ($7.55 if you subscribe and save) and makes about 14 cupcakes in my experience. YMMV.
Thanks for showing me more products to avoid. I agree Steve, Keto baking sucks. Lots of expensive ingredients, lots of work and always unsatisfying results.
@@laurafloyd6554 sargento thin sliced cheddar is my favorite. Slice into triangles and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Allow to air dry for 24 hours then place in 325 degree oven for 5-10 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly looking. Let cool and enjoy alone or with sugar free peanut butter😋 I’ve seen other recipes that don’t require the dry time but I started with this recipe and it’s perfect for me so not changing. I hope you try it😉
Steve you should look into Einkorn flour. It is an ancient grain with no modifications, doesn't bother most people with gluten problems and doesn't spike blood sugar.....
I caught your comment about the channel suffering a bit. I turned off all notifications because suddenly I was getting a lot of them from channels where I subscribed but never asked for notifications. Maybe it is the Ozempic/Mounjaro/GLP-1 craze too.
Fun Fact: the guy that started High Key is a graduate of the high school where I teach. I didn't know him but he came here to do a speech to the current students, and he brought his cookies for everyone. I wasn't impressed. 🎉
That happened while sawing a big branch off of one of Courtney's trees. The falling branch did quite a number on my knuckles, forearm and even managed to rip a bit of fingernail. Lesson learned: wear gloves when doing potentially dangerous work.
I love HighKey crackers, and I buy them with everything on them. They are really expensive though, so I try to limit myself. I think maybe you got a bad batch?
Testimonial that lower carb does work. At drs appt yesterday in 18 weeks A1C went from 7.2 to 6.0 and glucose was 97 for the first time in years under 100. Your wish of luck worked for me! As did the lower carb diet. No weight loss yet to speak of, but that is secondary to feeling better. Thx for all you do to help.
You were very entertaining! Your face turned quite red after that first cracker! That wasn’t funny but it got the point across that they are not an option. Fun video. Thanks to you both for taste testing and going over the ingredients with us!😊
I’ve been making your almond flour crackers with sesame seeds and Parmesan cheese. They go so quickly in my house. And every party I have brought them too are shocked I made them and they are not store bought.
Love these! Thank you! Please dont hate me but would you take the plunge and try crackers like Blue Diamon nut thins or Simple mills or Hu Kitchen? Its just been a struggle with all the information on Keto vs Low fat vs Grain free
So happy that I am not that much of an cracker fan! None of them sounded too compelling to me! Good to see the two of you doing the tasting! See you next time!
maybe it was stored near something with off-gassing that absorbed the chemicals. I've had them before and they were good. their cheddar ones are better.
Steve, you had me in a belly laugh when you reacted to the first cracker. You are a brave man!!!

"That kinda isn't good."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was great.
That reaction to the diesel fuel cracker 😬😂. The things you put yourself through for us 🤦♀️❤️
I know, huh! brave Courtney too. Glad to have the inside track on those diesel fuel crackers. But good idea on cream cheese to minimize fuel taste.
@@anoldladi Yes, Courtney is quite brave as well 😝😂
I love the Clearance Keto videos, they are fun! Yayy, happy to see Courtney too 👏🏻👏🏻

LOl! Courtney, I asked the same question out loud about his fuel consumption.🤣
Ummm. Thanks for testing these for us, Steve and Courtney.
Thanks for the review... your reaction to that first one was great!!
Thank you for testing items for us
Love it, guys!! Thanks for posting 🎉
Two thumbs up for the Keto scouting/guiding through the jungles of products.
Thanks for finding these things and helping us save $$ and taste buds.
Your reactions, priceless! Love how Courtney asked how you knew what diesel and lighter fluid tastes like😂😂
You have my respect for braving the wilds of these unknown products.

Obviously those crackers were on clearance for a good reason! 😂
Fortunately, it wasn't a huge expense. 🙂
Love your taste test videos. And look at those numbers - almost as 300k followers!!
Probably the first or second week of May at the current pace. 🙂
Thank you for saving me money on poor tasting keto crackers. I appreciate you two bravely taste testing so many items and look forward to the frosting review.
Hi Cortney good to see you Thank you Steve good lord do you do A LOT for us much appreciated as always.😀
That first bite done choked them out 😂😂 love the vids❤❤
Thanks for the review. Very useful.
Thank you for testing those for us!
This makes a good case for making your own crackers. Thanks for the reviews. ❤️🥰❤️
I agree. If I had made any of these as one of my recipes, it wouldn't have met my standards for release.
Thanks for the review, Steve. I know what I won't be buying. I think I tried that brand of cookies, and they were ok but too small.
Very entertaining, that fuel aftertaste… Lol
My hubby was busting out laughiNg about the lighter fluid cracker! 😂 thanks!
It seems Courtney likes baking, she can make a cake out of Carolyn's cookbook or website to have with the frosting. Love the honest taste reactions!

Nice!
Thanks Steve
Thanks
I get the ‘lighter fluid’ affect from rosemary, just before running to the bathroom. The allergy is getting stronger as I get older.
Entertaining. Thanks.
Thanks. Will keep an out for these.
Great review.
For the frosting, do a keto mug cake. It is all about the frosting after all.
Thanks for the review. I hesitate to get crackers due to the high cost for not much product. 😮
Especially when they don't taste great.
Always mildly entertaining ❤😂

No to High Key! Got it.

I will say that I have a couple of cracker recipes that I consider WAY better than these. 😉
I prefer to make my own, only one ingredient. Cheddar cheese. But I have to make extra cause my family also loves them. Thanks for letting us know😉
How do you do it with just cheese? I'd love to do that.

@@laurafloyd6554 you’re welcome, no worries either if you dry it first longer, I forgot it was in in oven drying for an extra day once🤪still delicious

Noted. 🙂
Thank you🎉
Thanks!
I've had Fat Snax cookies and liked them.
I'm pretty sure I've reviewed those (3-4 years ago) and I don't recall disliking them the way I did the crackers.
Thank you for this.

Could be….

Cool story. 👍🏻
I love highkey cookies, especially the chocolate mint.
Great review!
Thanks for the tips. I think even if I find these on clearance I will take a pass.
Thnx for this info
Ty
I also noticed those poor knuckles and arm! Trees are vicious🌳😁
Next time, I’ll wear gloves and a sweater when cutting tree branches. 😬
They should add “Now with lighter fluid flavor!” to the package. Thanks for taking that bullet for us.
Apparently the marketing department didn't feel that was a strong selling point. 😉
Comment! Like and share
Have you been punching walls?😁

It was definitely bad, though I can't say if it was just that batch...
Thank you for trying them so I don’t have to.
🎉Fun!!
It’s a good thing highkey is not available in Canada 🤣
❤
Diesel... not a fan. Thanks for testing these so we don't have to.
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! oscillating between an onion taste and fuel....:)....92 cents worth of fuel after taste
😂😂😂😂😂
maybe the key is being high to make it taste good
I’m not sure that would help, but I see what you did there. 😉
@@SeriousKeto synchronicity...went to the liquidation store and they had a box full of the cheddar/EB Fat Snax crackers for $1 lol

Outstanding! Well done! I often say that weight loss shouldn't be the goal of lowcarb/keto, but rather a happy side effect. 🙂
Congratulations!!🎉
Congrats! The weight loss will come but all the other benefits are awesome.
As always, great job being informative and entertaining! ❤️

If those kerosene-flavored crackers will burn, perhaps you've found the world's future energy source! And at clearance prices!
At least for starting up the fire pit. 😉
I wouldn't buy them anyway but this was entertaining
Thanks for sacrificing yourself to educate us!!
Love the keto snack reviews. I count total carbs but I love info and options for special occasions. Thank you
Mmmmm, diesel crackers 😂
I bought some walnuts at Ollie's at a great price...but they were rancid! Gotta watch out for that possibility.
True
I'm really enjoying this series I've never bought either one of these brands but I might try the Fat snax

Those and my cottage cheese crackers are my "go to". I'm glad you like them. 🙂
I prefer to get everything seasoning .. and sprinkle it on my cream cheese or butter .. this way i know im getting that great taste
Good call
"tastes like some sort of 'fuel'..." 🤣😂🤣😂
I doubt they'll be including that clip in any online ad campaigns. 😲
Thank you. Heads up : the icing is not good.
Consider me warned.

All right! Another Serious Keto video! This time Steve And Courtney taking a bullet for the team! 😄
Thank you for the reviews. I think the Highkey I tried once were only salted and I thought they were pretty good.
My tastebuds have gotten much fussier since keto. I taste things that are off much more now.

Disappointing but not surprising. Thanks for posting
Courtney asking if you had eaten a lot of diesel and lighter fluid was the best.
