Ben, @MatArmstrongbmx had a similar issue with a headlight he bought for his M5 Competition. Turns out the headlights (and other electronics) are locked coded to the cars VIN to prevent rampant thefts. He has someone (Defined Coding) remotely re-code the light to his cars VIN and now it works fine. Check timestamp 11:23 on his video Titled: REBUILDING A CHEAP BMW M5 COMPETITION | PT 6 Hope this helps.
In Mat's case, the headlight did not even turn on. On this one, the headlight works, but with that error code. The issue its probably that the adaptive lights and the normal ones look exactly the same. but one has the option of it to move side to side and up and down with the steering. Had a similar issue with a friends Mini (F series) and he had to order the correct part number for it.
@@AutoRestore1 AHL module can also be faulty or wiring to it messed up. I had similiar issue with my M6. Replaced the plug and all was good. But I don't this is non adaptive headlight, because in the video he put the AHL module in.
When the control arm was damaged and subsequently replaced, there’s a good chance that the headlight sensor arm was never reconnected to the control arm. This is necessary for the adaptive headlights to function correctly. Make sure the little arm is connected to both the headlight level sensor, and the control arm.
8:48 Nothing wrong with the headlight, you just need to program the headlight module to the car. I had to reprogram my module too for the adaptive headlight features to work
Hey Ben, drivers front indicator is missing which is why it's flashing fast, and its housed in the headlight assembly. Possibly your headlight fault??? ....but probably not unfortunately. Great work as always
I'm impressed on how good the left rear quarter panel came out. I thought you were making big mistake repairing it, but you did a great job. By repairing it, to me it made better video content. It left me in suspense for the results.
8:50 please see Matt Armstrong's channel, he had the same issue with headlights, they need a code from a specialist. It's because a lot of BMW parts are stolen.
You can get the Protool app and a USB adapter and you can code most functions in the car including headlights, CAS and other errors you have. There's also a headlight adjustment rod that is on the driver side by the control arm....going off memory but that piece usually breaks easily in an accident or the auction forklifts damage them.
I laughed so hard at that comment that dang sauce came out of my nose. Oh, that's right. I'd never bought any dang sauce. If you can rip it around on public streets and act like an idiot it's a hundred percent.
That baby looks amazing! So glad you got the steering alignment done. I am hoping and praying the headlight is a simple fix. I would think the person or company that sold it to you might take it back if it’s not right. See you in the next installment.
Nice work, Veniamin and beautiful color. Please, don't use widowmaker jack, if you really have to use a widowmaker, put the wheel under the car. Widowmaker given this name for a reason 😔🪦
You need to code this headlight to the car. If modules have been replaced you need to code it. Pretty straight forward if you know what you are doing:)
bmw headlights are assigned to the VIN number of the car , its to cut down on stolen car parts , you need to clear the assignment and set it to the vin number of your car Matt Armstrong on YT had a problem with a m5 headlight
Said it before.........that color is incredible. I'm not sure I would tint the windows..........where I live, it is more practical to keep the interior temperature down, but in George/Tennessee, I don't think it is required. Car looks great as it is. Great display in that car and surprised to hear that parts are reasonable, unlike Audi.
Hey mate, I think the left indicator has failed. When turning into the tire shop the left indicator was flashing fast, this shows a failed indicator (blown globe or failed lamp or something similar). Is there an indicator globe in the front left headlight? Best of luck
Your headlight module has to be programmed to your vehicle. It has different tolerances built in and I believe a serial number. After you program to the car should be no issues. My 2021 Ram 1500 DT which has regular lights has to be programmed to run LED lights. Resistant is different and the body control module monitors current draw from the units so it can warn if you have a blown bulb or open or short circuit.
Loving the rebuild, funny how watching multiple rebuild channels has me talking to my TV saying “ you need these programmed to the car” (you can thank Matt Armstrong for that). Desperately need those wheels refurbished or replaced.
What a great car it is turning out to be!! One small detail I've noticed is that maybe you have a missing turn signal bulb on that driver side headlamp (it may be a camera effect but there might not be that yellow thingy in the very corner of the unit), or maybe you got a burnt bulb on the rear turn signal light, that's why the turn signal is flashing too fast, and probably what is causing the issue. Hopefully is just a 50 cent bulb the issue!
Hey vtuned Ben I love like watching on UA-cam videos building cars and back roads looking car covers new build cars people worldwide be happy how I big fan Vtuned Ben I love like support and number one ☝️
You're doing a brilliant job my friend. Keep doing what you do. A collab with Goonzquad on a whole project would be awesome. Please consider it. I know your audiences would love it. Call it the Tunezquad special or somethin. 👍
those wheels might look good polished. Might have to weld in a little material to fill in that curb rash but that and then a good polish. Might be the ticket.

You have the right headlight, you just need to have it programmed. Because of theft protection, they need to be added to your ECU
I hope vtuned sees this, you are absolutely correct
100% welcome to 2023
8:48 Nothing wrong with the headlight, you just need to program the headlight module to the car. I had to reprogram my module too for the adaptive headlight features to work
Great to see someone on UA-cam who actually aims to get the car back too 100% rather than putting it off and never completing the restoration.
If you can rip it around like a idiot on public streets, then it's 100% done.
Try seeing if the headlight needs to be reprogrammed to the VIN. Mat Armstrong had to have his BMW M5 headlights reprogrammed to the new car.
Mat Armstrong and Headlights..... LUL.
Headlight needs to be coded to the car
That's always a case when you change them
ISTA software is your answer
Everytime vTuned finishes a vehicle, you could never picture the previous damages it incurred. It looks immaculate.
Hey Ben, drivers front indicator is missing which is why it's flashing fast, and its housed in the headlight assembly. Possibly your headlight fault??? ....but probably not unfortunately. Great work as always
It so cool how you and you’re brothers have different expertises and can work together to perfect projects!!
That is how your supposed to do it. They have a smart dad
I'm impressed on how good the left rear quarter panel came out. I thought you were making big mistake repairing it, but you did a great job. By repairing it, to me it made better video content. It left me in suspense for the results.
All good 👍!!
Good to see you and the brothers too

Safety first Bro, lying under a car with only a screw jack with wheel off is dangerous 😢 but nice paint job big up to your brother 😊
That blue pops ...... amazing. Keep the car as stock as possible. Pimped out they depreciate much faster. Strangely enough.
You can get the Protool app and a USB adapter and you can code most functions in the car including headlights, CAS and other errors you have. The Headlights have to be programmed to the car. A good independent bmw shop will be able to do this...
Excellent work... cannot wait to finish the Mustang
You've to code the headlight to the VIN
You & your brother did a great job on that ride. It really turned out perfectly.
I laughed so hard at that comment that dang sauce came out of my nose. Oh, that's right. I'd never bought any dang sauce. If you can rip it around on public streets and act like an idiot it's a hundred percent.
headlight need some kind of programmation Matt Armstrong had the same problem on his bmw
thats why the left headlight keeps like blinking on its own?
That baby looks amazing! So glad you got the steering alignment done. I am hoping and praying the headlight is a simple fix. I would think the person or company that sold it to you might take it back if it’s not right. See you in the next installment.
your brother did a great paint job
you should get a set of lowering springs, carbon front lip and rear diffuser
Amazing work. That car is slick. Can’t wait for next build. Killing it as always Ben.
Nice work, Veniamin and beautiful color.
Please, don't use widowmaker jack, if you really have to use a widowmaker, put the wheel under the car. Widowmaker given this name for a reason 😔🪦

Matt Armstrong on YT had a problem with a m5 headlight
Love this channel. Patiently waiting to see the Ferrari fixed. Been following it from the beginning when Sam had it. Lol
Everything looks great. The door close sound was a bit rough but it may have been just the mic.
Headlights probably need to be coded
Yea.. watch his show. His boss did a fine job indeed.. you all did well.
Looking Doooope man. You should do 50% tint on the marker lights and tail lights when you have the windows done.
hey you have to bond the light to the main icu. I saw that on another chanel.
Said it before.........that color is incredible. That’s what I like about your repairs, you do all things the correct and right way, no cutting corners. Great work ethic.
What up with the mustang?
All the guys at the alignshop lighted up when they saw your car. It looks amazing.

It’s great seeing everything come together.
I see you guys in shorts and T-shirts, enjoying the weather and in Toronto, Canada, still cold. 😭😭😭
Just code your headligth with car's VIN 😉
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Wow what a improvement. Looks fantastic!!!!!
Could be a motor bad in headlight or a bad controller both are easy to change and not to expensive.
Amazing job on the quarter panel!!! 👏👏👏
You still need to paint and connect the front parking sensors.
Car is turning out beautiful! That paint is a really nice color and finish 👏👏👏
M2 is looking killer Ben 👌
At 10:13 , that indicator's blinking pretty rapidly, do you have a bad earth?
Probably need to code the headlight to the car
Good job Vtune! Love the color

Working under that widow maker jack made me nervous. Be safe man
Always bringing up great content
Loving the rebuild, funny how watching multiple rebuild channels has me talking to my TV saying “ you need these programmed to the car” (you can thank Matt Armstrong for that). Desperately need those wheels refurbished or replaced.

Super result. I have the little brother to this one, the M235, same color. and I love it.
That Ferrari being in the air for long periods of tyme affects the suspension and chasis I'm wondering.
Vtune keep up the good work please post some more videos

Can’t wait to see how you mod it
Nice job again Ben, maybe you can look into getting blacked out Acexxon rear reflector panels, I have those on my M2 too.
Show a side by side comparison of wrecked versus repaired.
Came out absolutely incredible!

Great job! Love that project 👍🏻

Beautiful car. Great looking color.
Quality as always! The M2 came out killer Ben! We can't wait to see more Contente with it. 👍👍
It looks great bro, what type of rims are you getting for it?
those wheels might look good polished. Might have to weld in a little material to fill in that curb rash but that and then a good polish. Might be the ticket.
