Automotive Inspired Collection: Patek Philippe Calatrava, Rolex Daytona, and Audemars Piguet

- Drew Coblitz loves cars and watches, and his collection reflects just that. Between the Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G and Rolex Daytona, the influence of the automotive industry on his personal style is clear. Even pieces like his Richard Mille (built to withstand the driver’s seat) or custom-rotor Audemars Piguet Royal Oak (sporting the illustration matching that on his car) have ties to his other hobby. While not all his watches have a direct relation, Tim and Drew do a deep dive into the stories and journey behind his collection in this episode of Collector Conversation.

Holy shit this guy is loaded.
Cars amd watches- one of the best combos.
Amazing collection! It is also refreshing to see a collector who loves to wear his watches and values the scratches he puts on them! Tim, master class in interviewing as always. Great episode!
Thanks for supporting the show, Tim! I appreciate you turning out for fellow collectors and their video features.
Best,
Tim
Awesome collection! And thank you Tim for pronouncing Jaeger-LeCoultre correctly 🙏
I'm not perfect, but I do my best! It doesn't help that in the USA and other English-speaking markets, Richemont and JLC have mainstreamed and officially approved "yay-ger le-cool-ter" at the retail level. That leaves a ton of customers with the wrong impression even when they're well meaning and trying to get the name right.
Best,
Tim
Tim, I really love to watch these episodes. It’s great to see the passion of the watch collectors. Drew has an incredible collection. Each timepiece has a story behind them which makes it special. This is what makes watch collecting fun.
Very enjoyable conversation and collection. I appreciate the diversity and the timepieces themselves.
Drew isn't a dogmatic collector, so his watches always come with interesting stories. He buys what he likes, and he likes a huge cross section of styles.
Best,
Tim
Amazing episode !❤
Wonderful conversation. Amazing collection 👍
Many thanks for showing the watches :)
Must. Get. Custom. RO rotor!!!
I know, right? And they did a cartoon dinosaur of all things. I like AP more after seeing that.
Best,
Tim
Great story on the AP Royal Oak
Tim delivering the best watch content on UA-cam. When is the Wolfgang episode happening?.
Like this guy's taste in watches..., and cars...
not sure how I missed this episode, but B R A V O. (Drew, would love to connect)
nice
This guy is kool
Don’t get the big deal about the RM
But that Rolex Paul Newman
Wow now we’re talking
Tudor does Velcro 🙃
A car/automotive themed watch collection and no Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921?
The RM is light, but you forget the most basic function of a watch is to keep time, and they are the worst even after factory service!
Paul Newman, Richard Mille, Royal Oak and Nautilus walks into a boring, tired bar…..
How the fuck does this guy have all of this money?
Daddy’s money. It’s a nice gig if you can swing it.
@@golfinguru11 do you know that for certain?
You need to re-service that JLC again and clean it at least, you sound like you don’t really care too much about it.
A worn exterior on a 60-year-old watch rarely reflects on the quality of service or care of use. VERY few people restoring a vintage watch at the factory would request a refinish of the case. All of those scratches are family heirlooms, and this Memovox will never be sold.
Best,
Tim
@@the1916companywatchreviews No Tim, thanks for the explanation but I’m not referring to the wear and scratches, is the dirt and grime the macro lens is showing and compared to all his other pieces he didn’t sound too enthusiastic about the JLC.
Great story on the AP Royal Oak
