This was a very good interview and good storytelling. Tim, you are an excellent interviewer and you really master the art of letting the guest speak and not interrupt but still ask interesting questions whenever appropriate.
In the hundreds of videos I have seen on watches, for me this one ranks among the best and embodies the reason why we collect watches... they are repositories of good memories. Kudos to Tim and Josh for this one... you guys kept it real, I felt your enthusiasm and love for the hobby, free of snobbery that sadly, is a common attitude among other people in the watch community. I liked Josh's story about his Invicta the best... it shows respect for what other people hold dear, regardless of their value. They say you'll know what a man is by how he treats others... I don't know you Josh and I probably never will... but from what I heard today, I hold you in high esteem.
Josh is a great guest. The invicta story tells alot about him. He recognized how cool it is the guy gifted him his watch. Just so stellar. Great dude. Great spot
I love this guy's collection, and this is one of if not the best watch interviews on the internet. The conclusion to the interview was genuinely impressive. Continue the great work .
Sir Tim , what an awesome interview. It was a little long but very insightful , not only to collecting but Life and Values in general addressing what is really important . Also a big shout out to Sir Josh ... Black Tee , Chuck Taylors and a Patek 😊👌🏼
Thanks to Josh for sharing his collection with us. Please share your favorite watch/story from Josh’s collection in the comments. Don’t miss the surprising finish to this interview - you won’t want to miss it!
By far... the best talking about watches interview that I have ever seen! Tim great find.... I mean bringing Josh on the show.... I couldn't believe the last watch you guy's talked about... wow blew my mind in a good way! That's what this hobby should be all about... The watches....not the branding..... Congratulations gentleman hats of to both. Josh you just became a hero to me!!!!
Thank you Tim. You are pleased to watch as always. Josh, loved your collection and stories. Invicta story is so inspiring. I adore my casio ( if you love watches, you just gotta love watches).
What an awesome episode. Josh's take on the gifted Invicta was quite inspiring. A real reminder that they could all be gone tomorrow, and no one is looking at your own wrist like you do.
I don’t often save videos to a playlist but this one hit home on so many levels. You do good work for certain, but more of this please! Thank you, Tim.
wow..... just read through the comments, and had no idea this would get such a reaction. very humbled by some of the comments - Ive been a fan of Tims for a long time, and learned allot from him. Ive been asked to do this show for a couple of years, but always worried it would come of tacky (showing of is not my type of thing, and some of these types of shows can look like pea cocking ) I Want to really thank Tim, Claudio, Harrison, and the team at Govberg/Watchbox for making this episode possible, as it was truly a privilege to share and talk about a hobby/topic that I love. until next time - thanks again to those who watched, enjoyed, and took the time to comment.
One of the best watch collector interviews. I loved the questions Tim asked such as why choosing the dials. Very insightful. I also loved how Tim led the talks about watches by categories such as straps, class, and etc.. Josh’s stories were very genuine and I loved every aspects of it.
Important lesson of the day: collect something that means something to you, because then it will last forever. This guy’s story is more genuine than someone who keeps spouting nonsensical series numbers (coughweikohcough). Very good interview from a very unlikely source.
Was really enjoying the discussion, and then BAM... your Invicta story brought tears to my eyes ! I'm retired with a modest watch collection and ironically, just purchased my first Invivta, Pro Diver, same model in Blue. It's one of my least expensive time pieces, but a favorite, and a bit of a value for the money shocker. In addition to whatever your personal gifts may be Josh, you shed light on your most valuable possession, being a beautiful human being. Priceless !
I don't know that guy, and I don't give a crap about his dental business. But I loved listening to him speak. And I appreciate his journey with watches. One of my favorite things about loving watches is when I get to connect with someone because of it.
Glad that his collection showed some personality at the end. Also very telling that a non-mainstream piece is his wife’s fav and gets the most compliments.
Excellent interview Tim and well done Josh on a fine collection. So refreshing to meet genuine down to earth people with respect and compassion for others. He showed some great qualities in his Invicta story.
The closing comment and story about the gift Invicta sums up what collecting watches is all about, experiences. Really great content. Thank you for sharing this incredible conversation.
What a likeable guy. Humble in the right way and you can really tell he appreciates the watches in his collection, all of them for one reason or another. I didn't think I could possibly sit through over half an hour of some guy talking about his "amazing collection" and it turned out his collection was just that and he was cool too.
Love this dudes watch taste and his attitude. So much overlap between his collection/style and my own, and he’s got the right state of mind. Great video!
Excellent conversation. Josh - Thank you very much for sharing your experiences and thoughts - it just doesnt get any better for watch guys then this conversation with Tim as our guide. Your collection is truly just beyond spectacular - so well done. But ... you need an orange monster for the days of maximum abuse and high activity- you will love it!. 👍 . All the best.
Just watched this. As an Invicta owner and someone who loves watches, the best thing I have ever personally purchased was a Hamilton Field Mechanical like the one he uses as his travel watch. I enjoyed the video looking at all those beauties I will never own, but the best part was the last few minutes. The man acknowledged a bit of pretentiousness, followed by the story of the Invicta gift and realizing that nobody really cares... day to day, nobody is really looking at the brand of watch on your wrist. The enjoyment is in the owning, wearing, and discussing with the like minded. The man chose to bring along his gifted beater Invicta, tell that story, and most importantly recognize how all of us can be pretentious jackasses from time to time. Well done my man! Respect!
Great conversation. I love how he has a story behind each watch. Tim was superb as usual. Not the most high end and expensive collection on this channel but one of the more memorable discussion.
Invicta is what got me interested into watches in the first place. I used to love Invicta when I was younger and didn't know any better, back when big tacky watches were in style. Then when I was a student I needed a watch that had a seconds hand. So I bought an Invicta because it was cheap. To my surprise it was an automatic. I didn't know what an automatic watch was so I researched it. Then fell in love with watches and here I am.
same lol. i got a crappy daytona invicta when i was like 14. i still have it actually lmao. just got a hamilton the other day and i love it. but invicta is responsible for my entry to watches
What a great collection, properly versatile. Like where this series is going! P.S. @9:43 , you aren't winding the swatch by spinning the watch crown clockwise, the Sistem51 winds anti-clockwise.
These type of watch conversations are the best in my humble opinion . Just two genuine watch lovers talking watches regardless of brand image or value. No pretense No snobbery just good stories with great watches. Tim you are the master at this genre , no one can hold a candle to you sir .
Great interview Tim. Josh’s watch collection is awesome and his passion for collecting is palpable. As a fairly new collector, I really enjoyed hearing how his collection has evolved.
Great vid. Can relate to much of it from buying and selling high end brands to knowing when a keeper arrives and that watch representing a special life experience, to really appreciating watches, not being pretentious about them and owning heavy hitters that lay people have no clue what they are.
Cool story about the invicta cuz I actually caught myself doing the same exact thing where I said cool watch and then realized it was “just” an invicta. Love Joshs collection.
Fantastic vid. What a great guy. Love his passion and stories behind each watch. I feel an affinity with his collection as I also have a recent sistem51 alongside some of the foundation pieces (like a Speedy) Really enjoyed watching this. Paul
Theo and harris is a scam, they sell franken watches and damaged watches. I saw it myself on their instagram. A king seiko with a crooked dial, some other watch with misaligned dial and a seawolf with incorrect crown. God knows how many more rubbish he sells.
Great show. Great guest and great host - Tim lets the guy take the lead and speak from the heart. He's right - watches transcend every tier and encompass every sphere and there is a place for everyone.
Don't know this guy Josh but in the end I respect him for placing value in an object that has no real value in terms of money. It is a great quality on my opinion
Amazing piece. What a nice man. And....... the most impressive thing was the story about the guy at the dental conference who Josh the Invicta. The most amazing thing to me was that he gave Josh HIS Invicta watch . To him it might have been in his eyes his Patek but he gave it away. It’s more important than all the expensive watches in the world. Sometime we all get caught up in material possessions and get very snobby. I for one would be thrilled if someone gave me a prized possession no matter the actual monetary value.Treasure it for what it stands for not for what it is.

Awesome interview! Great watching an interview from a true, non-celebrity collector. Love hearing the stories about each watch. Of all the excellent stories, the Invicta story was probably the best. Josh seems like a great person. Made me more appreciate my own modest collection. I don't understand how some (very few) viewers can give this a thumbs down. I guess the internet is full of D bags. I know this It is cliche' Josh, but wear all in good health! Excellent interview Tim. On an unrelated note, thank you for your service to our country.

Come to to today, while only having really 3 watches in my "collection" (Panerai, Seiko, Omega), I've been doing research and now decided to go after a Rolex Pepsi, near term for me and long term for something I can hand down to my kid. Crazy how time changes one mind set.

You should do this more often. We don't need celebrities, just people with a passion.
