I finally got around to installing my widebody kit for the Cayman. Everything fit well and went together pretty smoothly... until I test fit the wheels. I really hope I don't regret making the decision to get these wheels! I am in love with the SSR SP-1s and I desperately want them to fit the widebody cayman.

It looks like that widebody kit you got is pretty light could want to Walmart in gallery guerrilla double sided type not the clear one but the black 1 trust me it holds you could a double side them and didn't have to draw hose
Definitely not a secure way to install a kit. I’ve seen many people try to only use double side 3M tape to install their kit and it fly off on the freeway.
Call me crazy, but if you can’t find wheels with wide enough width. You can always extend your control arms outward, if you really about that life 🤪
extending a control arm will only give you camber, it would not widen the wheel base
Just have the wheels rebuilt

I could have told you dream is piece of garbage yeah hang gonna hold none now what I was telling you was go to Walmart and get you a double sided tape called the gorilla like the gorilla glue yes made by gorilla glue their stew kinds there's a clear one enters a black 1 get the black 1 but if you want Sutton stronger and at you go over to the clothes section and you get a double sided Velcro That 1 you want to make sure you get the black not the white one and it shows that holds shovels rakes all your garage I am using it on My widebody kit is much heavier yours People in my car club I put the double side gorilla tape on theirs and when they try to pull off their vinyl it rips the vinyl
Unfortunate turn of phrase which is stuck in your brain. “I wanted to do this so badly.” Well your subconscious seems to have known what was going to happen. Personally I think the 987 looks unnaturally wide at the front as standard, the 986 has better lines and better intake & fan ducts for the engine.
For shame.
