  • On November 7th, 2023, 911 received a call from workers, who claimed that a man, Samuel Haskell Jr., was trying to pay them to remove human body parts from his property. When police responded and began their investigation, they discovered a dismembered body in a nearby dumpster, and clear signs of a violent crime within the home. Along with that, they realized that his wife, Mei Li Haskell, and her parents were all missing. Is Samuel responsible for some disturbing triple murder?
What are your thoughts on this case? Let's discuss in the comments.
Thank you guys for watching, hope to see you next time!

I can't believe the police messed up three times when those workers tried to report it. If they had done their jobs in first place it wouldn't be so hard to find bodies now.

I get your point and I wish we all could say we'd go about such situation differently - on the other hand, given that recently everything is being solved by DNA, I can kind of understand they might not have wanted to be accused of being accessory to a violent crime after the fact, or even playin a part in it.

Yeah, that was really bizarre. But at least they did the right thing to look in the bags and report it to police.
Being that they are laborers in LA, they are most likely illegals and/or recently paroled/have a record. So driving to the station with bodies in their vehicle probably freaked them out. They still did a good thing by reporting it right away.

    • @Boing2699
      @Boing2699 10 місяців тому

They likely didn’t want any possibility of the cops thinking they had something to do with it. Rich guy with a famous dad (I’m sure they didn’t know ab his dad, but they knew he was rich) vs five day laborers, some of which could have been undocumented- it’s easy to see what certain police would have assumed

As judgmental as this is, I would ask everyone women who is thinking about marrying a man whose family has money, but he’s never achieved anything by himself, to not even consider marrying them! It will end badly and your children will suffer due to the in-laws. These men are brought up without any consequences for anything they do and should be avoided at all costs.

He killed them and he paid people to drive the cars down with the bodies for $500 and you get a car across the border into Mexico and they’re gone. He’s too sloppy. And too stupid. Most police departments don’t have police officers waiting at a desk like we see in TV shows. Everyone at the station is always out on patrol. They might have office managers there or secretaries but they can’t do anything. Calling 911 goes straight to the call center which can dispatch an officer already on the beat who’s closest to the area to attend the call.

My theory on why the judge won't allow his face shown during court is bc I think he carved something into his face. Probably "innocent" or something crazy. I wouldn't put it past him. That's probably why he's in the suicide outfit. I don't think he's suicidal at all, instead he's begging for attention and I think the judge decided he isn't going to give him the satisfaction of allowing his face to be photographed. 😅 by the time the trial happens his face will be healed enough that we may get to see his face by then

You have been working so hard to bring to your viewers the latest cases -Thankyou Rachel
Money can cover up a multitude of sins. Unfortunately, this guy physically looks unwell, sounds mentally delusional in his clips.
Keeps going missing on his family, huge red flag. I can’t even imagine what went on in that house before he allegedly committed the murders.
I don’t believe bail should be an option for him he’s a flight risk. He’s a risk to others in the community.
In my personal opinion, with the wealth that his family has, he should be held accountable and held in jail until a court hearing.
I found it strange that the children were not placed with family members as that is preferred when a tragedy happens.
    Agree!,so tired of D/A,D/V
it has always been although to me it appears to be more violent now and definitely more frequent.

Yes, I fully believe that Mei's parents have been murdered but cannot hazard a guess where their bodies could be. He killed them because they were collateral damage. They would know immediately that their daughter was missing and would not believe any tale he told. They were witnesses. I even think he killed them first, then May. How could he kill her without them knowing unless that house is a lot larger than it looks. He is arrogant and entitled and believed he could get away with it. Thinking he could just hire workmen to get rid of his wife's corpse just screams arrogance.
In Ireland, a case has just finished where a young woman was murdered whilst out jogging, not in the wilds but in a town. The perpetrator, a total stranger to her, was given a life sentence. In response, the Head of the National Council for Women gave her view and said the words that I have been thinking for many, many months. The number of women being killed by men, either their partner , a stalker or a stranger, is at an epidemic scale. This is just in the western world. We have no idea of the numbers in Russia, China, many African countries. To me, I feel education should be the key and I don't mean young men, I mean whilst in primary school. Obviously not gory details but how to treat girls and vice versa. Teach them how to be gentlemen, teach them manners, something their parents should do but don't. If we get them when they are young enough to absorb this fact, maybe less murders would occur and we would only have psychopaths to deal with because no amount of education will solve their problem. Great story, great narration, thank you for your upload.

It was about jurisdiction with Highway Patrol. They only deal with incidents on highways and freeways. LAPD absolutely should be ashamed. Even though they should have directed them to the police station that responds to that address. I would have never told them to go to the house and call 911....from the murderer's house FFS. Good on these guys doing the right thing, same as the homeless man. They should have kept the $500 though....what was this assh*le going to do? Call the cops on them for theft? Lol
There is a funny Canadian movie about jurisdiction between agencies. Bon cop, bad cop, from 2006. A body falls on top of the "Welcome to Quebec" sign. He is folded right down the middle. These 2 cops go on and on about why the body is more in their jurisdiction. It's hilarious in a movie. Not in real life.

It’s crazy and freaking me out! RIP to all families and lives affected by these terrible crimes.😢🙃🙏🏾

I live in Canada. Years ago I was walking to meet friends at the neighborhood pub when a guy came up behind me. He tried flirting and when I ignored him he grabbed me and attempted to sexually assault me. I fought him off, even injuring him. I was only a block away from the pub I was going to and made it there like I was on Olympic runner. There literally a police station in the same complex as the pub. I ran in, crying and disheveled. I started telling the two officers who came up to me everything that just happened. After telling them everything, all they said was that I should call in and set up an appointment to talk to an officer. These officers were not going to take a statement or even go out and look for this guy a block away. Nothing until needed i made an appointment. Was shocked and extremely disappointed in the police.

Not every family in the foster care system is terrible.
I know several amazing foster families & I'm frankly tired of seeing people call every one of them horrible & say that the system is completely broken and evil. It's not.
There are many problems & lots of need for improvement but THERE ARE AMAZING FOSTER PARENTS OUT THERE! MANY PEOPLE DO CARE.
I'm tired of them not getting any recognition or appreciation.
