This boss guide is amazing. Another tip. If you get a high level Rotgland Lobber (mine is level 14). Use it. Even in phase 3. I dismantled Nemesis. I say that after he demolished me 5 times.

glad I decided to watch this video beforehand. I would've been hosed going in blind. Spent all of last night scouring Biome 1 and 2 then called it quits before this boss; just knew I didn't have it in me that late. First try, thanks to this video, I knocked him off his pedestal and brought Selene back to her new reality.
This guide did it for me! You are a legend. For others still struggling. For me the key was being at level 15 proficiency(MAX!). This felt like the end game because within an hour I defeated boss 4 😂

Has anyone used a Hollowseeker to beat him? I have a level 13 with waves and serrated projectiles. It shredded through every enemy in the 3rd Biome. I want to have faith in it for Nemesis 😂
I'm trying to remember and I used it a couple of times and it wasn't that great in the last phase but perfect for the first 2. Honestly, I suck pretty bad at aiming. You've got this!
Phase 1 & 2 look very easy but phase 3 looks almost impossible. I just know I’m going to mess up on jumping to new platforms and die on this part many times. 😭
@@benshapiroisgay good news. I beat this boss, easy on first try. Phase 3 is very easy. Just keep using the grappling hook to dodge boss attacks and keep shooting in between. I was under the impression that if you fall for too long, there’d be no more platforms to jump to and you’d die but I was wrong. You’ll never run out of platforms to jump to.
So I guess I have to complete the biomes completes to get the weapon proficiency high enough, Max I was doing was 9 at best because I was running to this boss asap without covering the entirety of biomes to get my WP high.
How are you guys getting to the boss fight so easily and so leveled up?? It's hard cuz it takes so much time just to get to the boss and then die and gotta get all the way there again...

A very helpful video. However, in the 3rd phase, it seemed like he wasn't making enough platforms for me to move forward close enough. I kept grappling spot to spot, only to just...run out of platforms. I had no where to go and was still out of range. To make things worse, because I died from a fall, my astronaut doll only revived me at like 75% health which was bullshit. I'm loving the game but this boss is kind ruining my mojo in trying to progress. Just not a fan of giant boss fights like this in Souls-style games in general.

Is there a way to change the difficulty on yours, because on my play through they keep lighting the platform on fire in phase 1 and 2? I don't see any platforms being lit on fire in yours.
If you manage to deliver good damage you will not see fires in platform. You lack dmg or you chose the wrong weapon. But even with the worst weapon you can beat Nemesis. Proficiency at least 10, choose either the Hollowseeker or the missile one, same as this guy used. Rotgland could be a good choice also. Phase 2 is the tricky one. Phase 3 is fun platforming xD.
i've tried for 5 hours to beat this boss. i think my game is broken cause i can't make hardly any sort of damage with a 14 weapon on the 3rd phase. the first 2 phases are somewhat managable, i get to the 3rd phase and i'm just tickling him. like i'm hammering at him for like 5 minutes straight and he only loses 1/8th of his health.

Is this post 1.004 patch? They ramped up the difficulty a lot and it’s doing my head in as all the Yt videos don’t represent the actual fight any more.
@@AbyxGaming I should have seen. The patch dropped last week. Your guide is great, but unfortunately isn’t much help now. It’s so much harder now. For example, in Phase 2 the 2 side dudes form a barrier either side of you and Nemesis fires bullet hell down the middle. It’s insane. I realise you spend a lot of time and effort on these videos, but any chance you could take another look at the boss?
Ohhhh I see. I was going to come back to the game on July to do some final guides, but this revision would probably be the last one. In the meantime, I would recommend the auto repair artifact / parasite. That saved my ass on my very first try! Let me know if you manage to complete it before I come back to the game :)
@@AbyxGaming I’ve put the game into rest for a couple of days until I get past my 2nd covid jab reaction, but where I left it (at the boss entrance) I had 259% health, 4 small and 1 large health packs and 14 proficiency so if I don’t do it I may have to give up on the game lol. Look forward to your next set of videos in July, you really helped with that second boss so. (And if you do have the time, have a 2nd crack at the new B3 boss just to see the difference!)
Ok there must be variations to the bosses in their move set because I just kicked his ass on that play thru and he didn’t pull out the tunnel bullet hell move at all. It was just like your video so…shrug?
See when you jump back , fall a bit and grab next ledge. Are you doing this on purpose? Or you messing up? The timing has to be so precise. I’m bit worried about this fight.

Got the grappling hook, checked that area at start and found it was tower mode and its bloody great. I got to weapon rank 30 something, killed this boss twice, learned loads of weapon upgrades, grabbed all the flowers etc. Have you tried this mode? If so, did you get to visit mother in the hospital? I won’t spoil if you haven’t but it’s fucked up and creepy. I’m actually really shocked that I’ve watched many returnal UA-cam vids and not 1 has mentioned tower mode. How great it is and how it’s great for getting weapon rank 25 to unlock the weapon perks.
It's a matter of luck, really. There is also an artifact named Emergency Repairs that does the exact same function. Keep an eye for it in case you can buy or or craft it.
@@AbyxGaming actually iam at biome 3. ..how can I easily clear this? Please help...and do we have to always grind in biome 1 and biome 2? Or rush thru biome 1 shortcut and go in direct biome 3 with less upgrades?
I have another video in my Returnal Playlist where I explain how to counter each enemy. Give it a look. You don't need to re-run biomes 1/2. You can short cut.
Yeah the random shit can really fuck you its harder to get to the boss then not but this game has made me rage so hard haven’t been irritated like this at a game since I was a teenager I am stuck in this boss and it’s fucking irritating as fuck

I bought this game three years ago. I stop playing it. I’ve died fighting him over 10 times already.
He's tough, but once you get down his moves, it becomes more manageable. You've got this!

You can shoot him from the distance and still get damage, but you need to be very precise.

I was lucky to beat this boss on my first try with a lvl.8 Tachyomatic Carbine with (Bonus Damage 6)
This can be hard on Co-op, because even a small amount of lag can potentially be detrimental.
It's so much easier with the carbine...
