Wasn't going into this fight blind with a ton of integrity, maxed out proficiency, and full of artifacts. Had to watch your video, and beat him first try. Thanks so much!
I DID IT FINALLY! 2 weeks and tons of prep but I kicked nemesis ass with a level 10 hand gun ! Dam this is satisfying I haven’t had a game this fun since Atari came out in the old days
I fought this boss for the first time last night and my gun (lvl 11 Hollowseeker) wasn't nearly strong enough. I didn't make it past phase 1 because the boss did all sorts of weird attacks. I definitely recommend using a different type of weapon.
Thank you! I got to the boss and had 80% health and your video helped me beat him on my first try. I really didn’t wanna comb through the Citadel again
Thanks man, that explanation was excellent. Got it on my first try :) I got real lucky with a level 15 launcher though, it had like 5/6 extra damage bars combined with swarm. No traits though. Some advice for others: I paused inbetween each phase to check the video and that really helped, plus it gives you some time to breathe.
I just got Nemesis down to around 15% health on the last health bar but it's so hard to shoot when all I'm trying to do is evade/jump between platforms! The first two waves were alright, but damn, the last "form" of Nemesis really got me. Seven artefacts, great consumables... I'll go again tomorrow. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks so much, you helped me beat him on the first try. I was stuck on Biome 3 for a long time and didnt want to risk losing to him after about four hours ha ha. I barely beat him before I died.
I beat him my first try thanks to your guide I knew what to expect! For me phrike, the first boss, was the hardest boss so far! I went through as many rooms and areas as I could and got my weapons proficiency all the way to max 15, got my health to 250, and had okay parasites and bad consumables. But I did it with the carbine, no alt fire lvl 15 pretty solid.
Revisited today, went through both biomes beforehand and got my integrity to 220%. Level 11 carbine and it was surprisingly not too bad! I did have a perk active where for any damaged inflicted to the enemy (depending on your adrenaline level) you restore integrity. Definitely helped!
Just wanted to thank you for this guide, i took him down on 1st try, and i am a very BAD player in this game, a pure casual who has issues with gamepad in general. For those who struggle let me say this. It took me 1 week to kill 1st boss, it took me 16 attempts to kill 2nd boss and i didnt even think i would get to 3rd boss. But this game is so rng that you cant give up, all it takes is 1 solid run and a little bit of luck, i got to this boss and had no items, just a lot of integrity and lvl 10 lobber weapon, the one with poision damage over time, i basically killed him in 3rd phase before i even pushed me back, the weapon is amazing for this!
Yeah i got so lucky on my way to him and got 2 major health vials and 4 small ones 😁 the runs before i was pretty much as unlucky as you can get and only got really bad malfunctions like that one when you need to kill 4 enemies at the same time to remove.
Just beat it on an amazing run that took about 3 hours through all three biomes. I had the carbine leveled up to 15. I beat it on the first try using your guide it was extremely helpful. Thanks
Nice one. I beat him today thanks to this guide. I was really worried with my weapon being the rotblaster (level 14) but it actually made the fight a lot easier. DoT FTW
@@valerakarpenko8079 keep at it brotha once you reach phase 3 I feel like it’s the easiest phase with Nemesis, you can zip around and some platforms are tilted enough to basically give you some sort of a cover

Thank you, you give a concise, very helpful guide. The red dot - who knew it was the red dot? I shot at everything else the first and only time I got there and it was all such a waste and I died having done nothing - nothing! - to the enemy. This guide will change that. @@BakersvillI just killed him on my first try with a lvl 12 Rotgland Lobber. Just gotta keep moving and shooting, that's the name of the game on all these bosses.
These guides are great and top tier. Helped me with Ixion few hours ago. The citadel stage is so damn long lol. But I love the game lots of fun keeps you on the toes. Hopefully to best nemesis in a bit 😅
Spent an hour and a half 100 percenting stage 1 and 2 areas. Got max health. Great weapon profesciency and strong ass rotgland lobber (which I think is the best gun in the game). Hella healables and perks/resources. Did this boss on my first try with ease first time fighting him. Took like 3 minutes. No struggle whatsoever. Thanks for the guide
Lvl 15 carbine an 265% health trackerstorm alt with a refresh consumable and i can happily say i beat a returnal boss first try! Phrike was the hardest took me like 15 tries maybe more an the 2nd boss i was pushin 10 attempts b4 i got him but this guy got the business in our first encounter thx to plenty of life an powerful gun!
After finally getting to the boss again by getting lucky and not having to fight a hundred drones in one room, I found that the Rotgland Lobber was OP on Phase 3. I went back and watched this video to make sure, but it was a while before your shots started doing damage. The Rotgland Lobber started doing damage immediately. I'm not that good with the weapon at this point, so phase 1 and 2 were probably a little harder for me than they would have been with another weapon, but man that weapon is a beast on Phase 3! Thanks again for your awesome tutorials. After beating this guy, I got to the Biome 4 boss without much trouble, but I had to stop for the night. Looking forward to the rest of the game!
some more tips for the third phase: - You can fall infinitely far down so you don't have to wait on the platforms. Just move forward always and if there is no platform, just jump down had use your grappling hook when you see a platform. There's no fall damage - You are invincible when using the grappling hook, you can really use that to your advantage when you're dodging bullets in phase 3 - The protection stat is super OP. In biome 3 (or 6) you can easily have 60-95% protection (I have this nearly every run) making you almost invincible
@@olvinWTF this way really long ago lol. From what I remember just pick up every opportunity, mainly the shops. Also explore the whole map, every nook and cranny. However since a year ago them might have patched this
Finally beat him! Used level 15 hollowseeker with portal beam. Stats: +2 weapon damage, +10 protection, + 25 repair, - 2 cool down. I really think it was the portal beam that stole the show. Also I was constantly moving, even when the platforms start shifting. I ended up almost on top of him. Had small health vial I used but really didn't need to.
Me hitting my head against the wall for sticking to my hollowseeker 10* instead of switching to the thermal weapon 12* because of increased fire rate. Did very low damage and died. Lesson learned. Thanks.
I finished this boss using a level 10 carabine. Overall I think using a hitscan weapon it’s usually better because of the instant damage 😂 rather tan higher weapons with slow damage, at least for now
I know there’s a big red “fuck me” light on its chest, but honestly, for a good 10 sec I didn’t know what I had to shoot at, so I tried the big blue head and the aliens first.

Omg when u tell u I was stuck on this boss for decades… it honestly takes skill to beat this game not health packs or upgrades.. plus coop could mess you up sometime too
Died at phase 3 with about 30% enemy health left. Had to grapple two platforms fairly close, and as I ascended the last platform, I got struck by 2 stray purple missile swarm thingies. Should've taken the health packs instead of the damage siphons :(
2 hours. Lvl 11 Hollowseeker, near max integrity, survive a killing blow parasite, went it with max adrenaline shield on, had 2 more shields, and small silphium. But at least ghost of Tsushima directors cut is freaking awesome.
Just spent 2 hours farming up a really nice build and fought this guy for the first time and did almost no damage to him :( I'll try a different weapon next time I guess! Nice guide though!
Done it first try with damage siphon, 2* carbine & reduced integrity malfunction. Absolutey nailed the first zone, bought everything I could, rushed the third zone. Was unlucky not to find a better gun but other than that, this boss is easier than the first 2. Just make sure you have extra health and possibly a second life if needed
Beat him first try! Maxed out Integrity, two large silphium vials, shield vial, astronaut relic, and level 15 Rotgland lobber. He didn’t even Stand A Chance. DEAL WITH IT HOUSEMARQUE!!
Derelict Citadel went from my least favorite to my favorite biome. Totally agree that the journey is harder than the boss. The little flying enemies were a total nightmare for me until I started using the Thermogenic Launcher.
the rotgland lobber is so so good for this boss fight at stage 3 i dont even need to get close to him to deal consistent damage, and can hide behind the platforms for the projectiles too! try it!
This game is great but stressful. You put so much into each run to build your character up. When you get to the boss, it's so nerve racking. The thought of failure sucks. Kinda makes you make jittery mistakes. But this boss on my third time, and then realized he is quite easy if you relax and do your thing. I like the Electropylon gun the best. That gun is BOSS!!!
Everything is personal preference, but I wouldn't recommend a weapon where the alt-fire is doing the majority of the damage. That's the only thing I'd stay away from. A pistol is viable, though. Totally up to your comfort level.
I just fought him for the first time and made it to phase 3. I messed up by switching weapons halfway through the level because I wanted to unlock a new trait. I should of stayed with what I had.
I think I’m pretty prepared for nemesis. Didn’t encounter any rank 12 weapons but my hollowseeker is rank 11 with almost all stats to bonus damage and serrated, tho not sure if serrated works on bosses anyway. I have 3 large silphium vials, astronaut and 238% integrity. I got Phrike on first try and Ixion in my second try, but i was nowhere near as prepared as I am now so I’m hoping I’ll get Nemesis on my first try, especially cuz I did so much to prepare for it lol
This boss is really easy if you have the Tachyomatic Carbine (Killsight) level 12, I won in the first try! Of course I had the resurrection parasite on.
I came here with 285% integrity and a lvl 15 hallowseeker with 3 traits, astronout, revival parasite, leech artifact and healing item (big one). But still the biggest help was this video, so cheers for that 🙌
Best weapon to use is the Electropylon Driver. Most of the time you can focus avoiding hits, dashing and moving from platform to platform while the ED is doing its job. Just be sure to have a good power bonus attack and enough integrity.
Yeah I’ve not heard of that weapon. Just beat boss with rotblaster (14). I was worried I’d need something with continuous fire but it actually worked really well
Went bavk to it last week after getting stuck on the 2nd boss, I'm just on 4th biome now... Great game, you really need to build yourself up and not rush it... The shortcuts done me, was going to the boss too early...
Happy to help! It's still a bit confusing what is actually triggering the pushback, but the good news is that it doesn't deal damage to you, so just go nuts haha.
You sir...THANK YOU. First try. I did have an astronaut artifact. I died during the 3rd phase. Came back beat this virus on the first try. Used Electropylon driver *14
I got killed and my last flying projectile Killed the boss at the same time. The dying boss cinematic started but got cut off and was replaced with my returnal cinematic. So I killed the boss but could not progress to the next biome :(
Oh, I’m on biome 2 and have 1 of those cubes. I can’t remember if after beating boss, I can insert into machine, like biome 1? Or is it through that portal on biome 2? I only have 3 inserted and don’t want to die before I marry this 1.
What happens to you at 4:45 you when pushed back to the back of the arena happens every time I get close enough to get a hit in on every run. Needless to say, it makes this fight impossible, so will probably just quit it. No idea spending all of my time in biome 1 and 2 anymore. And read about the rotgland lobber doing damage over time. No, nothing happens. Read all the tips and watched videos but it seems like my game is bugged.
And after I left this comment I beat Nemesis on my second try. Now I only got pushed back once per fight. It made it a bit easier. Will also say that this boss requires a level 12 weapon at least to be bearable. I tried too many times with level 9 weapons and they don't do enough damage.
I love when he pushes you back in third phase and while you’re still flying sends some purple homing projectiles that are impossible to avoid 😍😍
he is so real for that🤭

I just fought him for the first time and made it to phase 3. I messed up by switching weapons halfway through the level because I wanted to unlock a new trait. I should of stayed with what I had.
I should have watched the guide before facing him. He got me good on the first try
But still the biggest help was this video, so cheers for that 🙌
Thank you so much
Thanks for the tips, phase 1 and 2 were very easy but 3 is a pain.
Sadly trophies are bugged for me and for others too it seems...
I beat the game and haven't gotten a trophy since Ixion. I'm with you :(
Best weapon to use is the Electropylon Driver. Most of the time you can focus avoiding hits, dashing and moving from platform to platform while the ED is doing its job. Just be sure to have a good power bonus attack and enough integrity.
Didn't know that was unlocked before this boss.🤣
Yeah I’ve not heard of that weapon. Just beat boss with rotblaster (14). I was worried I’d need something with continuous fire but it actually worked really well
Went bavk to it last week after getting stuck on the 2nd boss, I'm just on 4th biome now... Great game, you really need to build yourself up and not rush it... The shortcuts done me, was going to the boss too early...
Thanks for the guide. I thought the pushback was when you got too close, now I know to just run up and thirst him.
So I killed the boss but could not progress to the next biome :(
i watched this guide just in case first time i managed to get to him. Little did i know that with lvl 15 rifle with leeching he was kinda easy :D
Easiest boss so far
WOOOOOO! I JUST FUCKING BEAT HIM. LET'S FUCKING GO!
I failed close to the end with the astronaut figure... I guess I won't make it without it...
What consumable were you using that was replenishing health??
Oh, I’m on biome 2 and have 1 of those cubes. I can’t remember if after beating boss, I can insert into machine, like biome 1? Or is it through that portal on biome 2? I only have 3 inserted and don’t want to die before I marry this 1.
Bro I just did this fight with the hollow seeker I think and boy was it bad
i just finally reached him!!! i felt so good!! i lost but i did it !! lol
Just died here, but I'm cleared all pervisios biome an firs time came to boss. Soon I will beat him I think.
@@niklasroos if you get the artifact that makes your alt fire cool down faster after overloading, you can spam overloads a lot.
My hands sweat excessively during boss fights
Beat it in one try for this boss. Now on biome 4. Still 3 biome to go
Thanks for the tips! It was the opposite for me though. I took no dmg 1st phase a little the 2nd and a ton of dmg the 3rd. Got it 1st try though
