Big difference! Looks perfect
Thanks I think it looks perfect also
Went back to the beginning of the video to compare, and wow, what a difference. Went from "manilla envelope" to yellow.
Fantastic.
It really made a huge difference!
hell yea corona, my favorite beer. lights almost look like an amber yellow, looks great
Those turned out dope, I'd like give this a try on a 16 vivid black with Led Auxiliary light
Dang boys that looks clean
Shoulda done just one of the lights, then compare them. But they came out nice. How are they holding up after 2yrs?
Aside from a couple rock chips they’re still golden!
Thanks for the video man, i wanted yellow rectangle 100w halogen lights for my old 76 Jeep truck... but they dont make em anymore, only have some clear ones in old stock, so ima try to paint em like you did.. i hope it lasts though
Mine held up pretty well, I did plenty of coats and plenty of time to cure.
@@CGOD were yours glass or plastoc lenses ? Ill be doing it to glass
@@jeepsblackpowderandlights4305 mine were plastic but I’m sure it would work the same if not better on actual glass
Great Job brother they look awesome!!
Thanks man!
Mine came out a bit foggy after 6 coats? Cleaned them off to start over.. any suggestions? Thanks
They’ll look foggy until it dries. Mine looked real foggy cause I did a bunch of coats but to my surprise they dried Crystal clear!
is the surface you painted glass or plastic? if plastic, any prep suggestions?
It was plastic, for this specific paint I just cleaned the surface with alcohol
Unfortunately now the price gougers have bought up all this paint and are asking $200 per can
That’s crazy! When I bought it I had to special order it at the hardware store.
Should’ve went with
Wagner style amber passing lamps , that is what run on my deluxe
Yep it would’ve looked better, I’m gonna run real amber lamps on my new Deluxe
My tint was excellent. Painted sucked for my lens
Looks good. How's it look at night and when it's foggy ?
At night is great! Haven’t had to ride through any fog though
How is this stuff holding up to the elements /heat? Looks real promising. 😎
It worked real well for me, only issue I’ve ever had was rock chips but that’s to be expected I guess
@@CGOD good to hear. I had used some brush on "stained glass" stuff many years ago and remember that stuff basically washing off in the rain.
@@nameless-og oh no I wanna say this is similar to clear coat but yellow
So I tried spraying onto plastic light (no sanding)… and mine peeled off! Did u have any issues with yours??
Mine didn’t have any issues with it, I did clean the plastic light housing with alcohol before painting them. Only issue I had with mine was little tiny pebble chips but I suppose that’s normal
Any updates? Did they hold up well?
They held up good the whole time I had them, I can imagine if you get rock chips or something they might chip the finish
@@CGOD thanks man🙏🏼
so, i have white frosted glass for my porch fixture, so will it be a stained finish over frosted glass?
That I’m not sure of, I’ve only tried it on clear plastic so far.
@@CGOD yea im thinking it will just be like a flat looking yellow if i did that. ill just get a clear fixture globe and paint it stained and put in an amber bulb, should look tits. thanks for the reply, ride safe homie 🤘🏻
Where did you buy this spraypaint I can't seem to find it anywhere 😫
I ordered it through ace hardware, you could probably order it anywhere
@@CGOD thanks I'll stop by my local Ace Hardware store and see if maybe they have them In stock if not I'll just order it How many cans did you use to get that shade you wanted?
Great vids, how many cans did you use?
Only 1 and still have plenty left!
Where you able to find that paint local or did you have to order online?
Nvm saw your other comment, thanks for the vid!
Not a problem! I’m sure you could probably get it delivered directly to your house
@@CGOD I actually can't find a single place that has any in stock. I'm sure I'll find something.
Nice video..!! How it’s the paint holding?
It did great up until selling the bike! Current owner still has the same lights and they still look great
@@CGOD thanks for the reply.. I will paint my headlights soon..!!
Bad Ass Bro
That paint only holds up to 110 deg Fahrenheit & is for INDOOR USE ONLY. You can't use this paint on your lights.
Yeah maybe you’re right, it’s only lasted and looked great up until today lol
@@CGOD Why don't you try reading the can. I'm a paint chemist and this is not an acceptable paint for what you are using it for, but hey - what do I know.
@@Airtouch67 I don’t have the knowledge as to why it works or won’t work. It looked great and performed well under the heat the bulb was producing and never had any ill effects. My current bike is running stained glass lamps and I like them better.
Let’s see how you did that helmet vid?
Pretty much all I did was forcibly removed the styrofoam liner and glued in the padding. I hated how it looked sitting up high with all the padding
@@CGOD how does it stay on now does it lift bad in the wind
@@zainanderson1705 I just tighten the strap and it stays on fine, no lifting at all
How long between coats?
I don’t remember exactly but not very long like a few minutes
How are they holding up ?
They’re doing great! Still look perfect even after cleaning off countless bugs, no fade or anything. Way better than the vinyl wrap
@@CGOD have you waxed over them or anything ?
@@Cruiseforacruz nah I just let them cure after painting them for a day then I’ve been riding around with the lights on no issues
@@CGOD dope ! I had some blue tinted side mirrors that I accidentally messed up the blue finish so I stripped them down to just a regular mirror but bought the soft blue can of the stuff you used and planning on spraying them this weekend ! Should come out good as wel !
@@Cruiseforacruz yeah this stuff looks great! After a few coats it looks a little hazy but dries clear
Can't even find these no more
Might have to order them
