I seen your review of the smoked headlights from amazon. Direct Replacement Headlights/lamps Assembly Set Compatible with Ford F150/Mark LT,Smoked/Clear. I got the same ones and put in led bulbs but notice the light displays wierd..it creates these weird artifacts and progects that out so the light doesn't disperse smooth like the light from the oem headlights. Have you noticed this on yours? I'm thinking it's just the cheap headlight so I'm looking for another headlight that will disperse the light more like the oem headlight but do it smoothly. If anyone knows of a headlight for an 05 f150 that is smoked but doesn't seem to display light weird let me know.
@@A.C.71 I actually replaced the bulbs with brighter lights from the parts store. Unfortunately, I only had the truck for a short time after making the video…but I never noticed anything weird other than because of them being smoked the lights weren’t as bright

BEST most truthful video on the net regarding trying to VHT headlights. ABSOLUTELY NO MATTER what anybody else swears on the interwebs, the VHT is utter CRAP!!!!!!!! I'm very talented with paint and the VHT look is for kids and those that don't care about crap. Stevie Wonder could see more than a VHT tinted headlight allows!! Thanks for the vid!

Reminds me of the time (a few hours ago) I removed my headliner from my car and decided it would be a great idea to lay it on my bed to spray paint it. 10mins of spraying the product vs 3 hrs of cleaning SPRAY PAINT OFF EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM. The walls, carpet, blinds, folded clothes in corner of the room...my eyelids, ears... Mmmmyep.
Why?
Doing something like that should only be accepted if you have been huffing spray paint in your bedroom.

I used brake cleaner to renove vht tirnt does not damage the plastic.Just spray on a small towel amd clean, until is all remove. Finish with cleaning any residue with alcohol.
It's okay my man. I still mistakenly buy cabbage instead of lettuce at the grocery store.

I used gasoline and a towel to remove mine, they looked brans new!
Should of put a clear coat after spraying and then compound they would of looked good. But for 70 bucks you were better off buying. For my Cadillac cts mine will be 200 plus
Honestly the easiest, cheapest way is to buy some Viivid head and tail light tint wrap, just be sure to clean and dry the lens before applying so it doesn't get deposits. Heat gun, razor and vinyl are all ya need, and when a state boy wants it off, easy peel no residue, and then you re wrap when you get home for $5 and it lasts I've had mine on over a year and it was my first time wrapping. I highly recommend it for a risk free solution.
This exact same thing happened to me. You can use brake cleaner to remove the spray very easily instead of sanding it, just be careful of body paint or remove your lights. You can also just leave the peel coat off all together and you will have a much smoother and glossy finish with just vht. I love your video tho! Good diy and looks good in the end.

Brake cleaner works but it ate through my headlights all the way down to the paint
I used gasoline before to remove a similar product from my b5.5 tail lights. Worked pretty well. But with the price of gas these days you might just be better off buying a new pair of smoked lights.
You can take it off by using the spray itself. You spray it on a rag and wipe the headlight. Takes it right off.
@@xbocax16 will the light look as it did before the paint. Won't be foggy or fuzzy, correct?
Did the same with my 2002 f150. I hated the night shades. Had to buy actual smoked lights.
Can anyone tell me why im having elergicreactions to my headlights. There spider cracking. I did water sand them so I thought they were clean. This happened 2 times. Don't know why its doing this. Only other thing is try some wax and green remover

You're supposed to only use the spray tint (not the peelable spray) and then finish them with a spray of clear coat.
Whoever told you to spray them first (or at all) with peel spray is why they didn't turn out correctly... plus you didn't clear coat them in the end.

No No, the Lens Tint and Nite-Shades are competitors of each other. Plus the Lens Tint is not peelable. You weree thinking of Plasti-Dip or Hyper Dip. Or Peel Coat I guess lol

Well you sanded it with 1500 grit sand paper..lol should’ve fully sanded to 3500 and instead of re clear coating used the tint as a clear
The spray tint is garbage... just buy tint film and can get it in different darkness and it looks alot better
