The best part of Mana Tithe is when they play the shame land right after.

as someone who’s been running manatithe in soul sisters for years, manatithe’s power comes from the fact that unless you see the mana tithe in your opponent’s hand, it is always wrong to play around it. playing around a ghost mana tithe is like having a thalia down at all times for free lol
SS's is the only deck I've ever played with Tithe, and I agree, but still, when I've ran it in my local play area, which is small, I probably got some free wins just because of that.
Seth! I recently had a really bad allergic reaction to some shellfish I ate. I died for 5 seconds and then they restarted my heart( im fine now). With that said id like to say you have been my favorite for 2 lifetimes

I'm a die-hard Elf-man, in every format (except for Standard most of the time), but Modern Elves hasn't been the same since Plague Engineer started getting SB'd so much... However, I agree with your comment wholeheartedly

This deck reminds me of Jim Davis' "I Am Legend" deck for Historic, and that's my favorite deck of his that he plays often so I'm very excited to watch this

Btw: Seth - Speaking of Mono White & Mana Tithe in Modern. I've recently came across a certain Extended and then Modern Competitive Deck that used to 5-0 all the Time 8+ Years ago. Kithkin Martyr Proc Control!
A Couple of Cards have been printed in Modern the past few Years & i assume my Opponent revisited that very old Competitive Deck and updated it
I tried it out myself and managed so far: 3-2 and 4-1 Results! So it's not quite there yet, but with some more Tinkering and trying different Cards out i'm sure it can get 5-0.

What is the Kithkin? Martyr and Proclamation of rebirth have been a big part of Soul Sisters in Modern, even though they may have fallen by the wayside as of late

Good Morning (Well for me here in the Bavarian Alps)
First of all, since you mention it's a Deck that has fallen of the Wayside in recent Times, i've seen quite a few Decks in Modern Leagues that used to be Tier 1/Tier 2 in Modern all the way from when Modern first became a Format up to a few Years ago.
Seth sometimes did a Video in which he picked some old Modern Deck, updated it and then played it, wish he would do that right now with the current Meta being so fair and diverse.
The Kithkin i've seen most played with the Martyr Proc Build is "Figure of Destiny" which also functioned well as Finisher while also of course making Use of it being just 1 Mana (For Proclamation of Rebirth & another Spell i can't remember right now).

I used to immediately skip through the first few minutes o the video (I don't care much for the deck tech, just want the games) but now with these opening scenes I gotta stick around for a few seconds at the start 😂
mirran crusader is pro green. Has some value against elves but probably wouldn't have made a difference in that match
Mana tithe should always be invited :)
And THAT’S why Horizon lands are so powerful. Works in our deck to refuel, and burn without it just runs the risk of flooding.

Am I missing something? At 36:00 the opponent tried to put the batterskull into play and nothing happened. Seth says "that's not going to work". Why didn't it work?

Theoretically, worship and mirran crusader could give you the game. But not against that start.

*Doomskar* out of the sideboard is the ONLY way this build beats Elves in Modern.
Otherwise, as we saw, Elves just absoultely DUMPSTERS this deck.

This deck feels so feast or famine. Sometimes Mox Amber lets you play 3 one drops on turn 1. Other times it sort is just useless. But this deck I can totally see the appeal of hitting with Mana Tithe

Why always main deck is 61 after board? what gives? this is the new modern meta?
Love your content Seth but at 17:45 Opponent is at 2, you scoops to time warp. Opponent could have drawn land, land and been dead. I know it’s the joke of the channel but seriously that scoop was too soon.
White weenie. Still a pile of underpowered cards that wins a lot of games for some reason
Kind of insane just how much Seth loves one of the most obvious pie breaks in Magic.
