I've played this a decent amount since you put this list up; I've been playing it with a couple extra Kaheera in the main and a couple of Lurrus which is a great main addition. Loam Lion is an interesting idea, though. Might have to test that. :)

You were asking about the deck tech portion of videos on twitter. The reason I skip them is because unless you're playing some crazy convoluted combo deck I generally understand what a deck is trying to do and why, so I just want to see it in action

The ‘drawback’ to Lurrus just isn’t a drawback in decks like Burn and Scales/Affinity, because they were already not playing stuff that cost more than 2 in the first place. It’s just a free roll and it seems really gross.
That dredge match proves exactly why i play a copy of Steam Vents in my list. Being able to make blue mana for janky dredge beatdowns matters a lot considering your one of the moat easily hated out decks in the format.
You know, between your mull to one for leyline the other week and you mull to two for Rest In Peace this week, you have had a couple of the most laughable wins over dredge I’ve ever seen. I really hope your luck there continues because this has been so funny and so fantastic.

I think the problem is that most Lurrus decks (Burn is a good example) aren't really graveyard decks, so if you play a bunch of Rest in Peace or Leyline of the Void type cards you usually just lose to the non-Lurrus part of the deck. That's part of what makes Lurrus so hard to deal with.
Because it was Arbiter that got Pathed (and Path is worded that you exile the creature and then search) Arbiter is already gone by the time we search our library. If we had Arbiter and another creature and our opponent Pathed the other creature we would have had to pay to search.
I always think about playing one Ambusher, but that never do for some reason. I think it's close to being playable though and I do like the potential surprise value.
Last game versus Hardened Scales you named 3 cards as the best cards in their decks and they had 45 cards left. I'm sure you can take out your calculator and figure out that the chances they would draw an impactful card were pretty huge.
Kaheera cares about those 5 tribes because the 5 Apexs (Apexi?) are always 3 of those 5, with each color being one type. Thats why they are on Kaheeras Art as well (in tiny baby form).
Don't get me wrong, GW d and t is interesting, but with Kaheera, I am surprised no streamer has made a modern or pioneer version of cat aggro. That would be awesome to see.
@@mystdreamy739 Yeah plus in modern you just have merfolk which is a much better aggro deck, since almost all it's lords are 2 mana. Not to mention they can all gain or be unblockable. Cat's just individually have better cards, most merfolk are 1/1s or 2/2s with basically no abilities if they are the only merfolk, while cat's has cards like pride sovereign and Brimaz. Which are sizable threats on their own but aren't exactly "aggressive creatures". So I completely agree cats just doesn't seem like the best for aggro.
I know this is almost 2 years old now, but with Feline Sovereign printed in M21, cat tribal is so much better. I run it with coco, so no caracals, but I don't need to run Qasali Pridemage since Sovereign kills an artifact or enchantment as long as a cat hits, but with how many cats i cant get out, its not too hard really.
The companions mechanic should have an additional condition to make it less broken. Like exile a card from your opening hand or something to make things a bit more difficult... or exile a card that share a creature type with the companion as you play it to promote tribal builds

on MTGO Kaheera doesnt see Mirror Entity as a Cat in my deck ...but all it has to do is look in the "mirror" huehuehue (no but for real for some reasons its nor picking it up, but it should right?)

I think going more aggressive is a good plan. I'm planning on trying a build without Leonin Arbiter that can play Wild Nacatl and beat down. (Can't really play Nacatl and Arbiter since we need fetchlands to turn on Nacatl).

I considered playing another copy or two, the awkward part is that its legendary and we always have one on turn three, so drawing too many is a risk.

I play it in pioneer and it's firmly okay. when your best cards are a 3 drop and a 5 drop it's hard to be a low to the ground aggro deck.

TFW Seth removes Arboreal Grazer because it's not a Cat, but maybe doesn't realize Kaheera can pump Beasts too

Yeah, Kaheera can pump it, but King of the Pride and Regal Caracal can't. Plus 23 lands just isn't enough to make Grazer good.

It's really powerful since it essentially doubles up the number of counters.

Companions were the biggest mistake since phyrexian mana. Wizards have stated that free spells were a mistake. I think free cards is even worse.

the low end isn't much the big thing to recur would be vial, there's plenty of premium 3 drops without it.
We could, the challenge is that we don't really get stuff into the graveyard very easily, so a lot of the time Lurrus will just be a 3/2 lifelinker.
