Every boss I ever had demanded I take breaks just so the company wouldn't get sued, or the boss get fired their damn self.. Altho a lot of people use the childcare is crazy expensive so can't work thing but what they don't say is that they could get free sitting from granparents and family and trusted family friends etc especially grandparens. I understand dont Wana burden the gparents but most of them would love to do it. Even if they dont always love it they want to contribute in that way especially if it means they dont have to financially contribute as much or at all. Their parents prob did the same. Nothing wrong with that. But they use full time childcare costs to see if it's worth working even tho realistically most people would only use the paid childcare services sometimes. Also people put different amount of value to mom or dad etc staying home with the kids full time vs staying with gparents etc while mommy daddy are at work.
If I reaaaally can't cook one night my husband comes home and cooks. He works 12 hour shifts too. I try not to put that on him but it's something he takes pride in being able to help with. Sometimes I've just had too much on my plate for the day and I don't have time. Where I fall, he catches me. I'm so grateful for him and his strength.
Same here. I work 2 jobs, 1 at home. He works 1 job, with a long commute. I try to cook on his workdays, and we both cook on weekends, but if he gets home and I'm still working, he dives right into making dinner. That's what a team does.
My hubby is the same, I’m currently stage 2 RA (moved into moderate) and some days I just can’t do much of anything, my hubby works long hard hours but will still come home and take care of the family. He’s an amazing man. Never take the good ones for granted ❤

But like he usually grabs take out and THE ONE day that she actually wanted him to do it, he suddenly feels not in the vibe... He is just looking for ways to make her share the blame
Exactly. Most days she does cook. That particular day she asked him to bring food, because eggs, mac n cheese and a hot pocket is not what she would normally serve for dinner.
@@mollygrace3068because it’s not really a meal those are basically snacks. I know this because that’s what I have for dinner and I try to convince myself they are not snacks😭 but they definitely are

NO.. imagine pretending there's "food".@ home with different items. ZERO are a soild meal together. But .. how dare she say we need a real meal? I had an Ex like that! He bought 5 pounds of bologna, some rice and a few cans of "veggies" swearing we had "food at home" and HIM going to a restaurant for a solid steak meal all while talking about how ungrateful I was being.
My wife packs me a lunch every day even though I have never asked her to. She also puts a homemade meal on the table every night and we est as a family. I am blessed beyond measure. 🙏
I used to do this for my ex. I made him amazing food. He always complained. It was heartbreaking to pour love into someone like that and have it rejected night after night.
Eggs for the whole household or fast food for one member of the family? Yea it’s kinda a no brainer. You have kids and a wife and still refuse to sacrifice for them. Fast food almost every day. That’s got to add up for the month. If he stopped eating fast food all together that is 100’s of dollars per month you have to keep that fridge full. Food at home should always come first.
That’s literally my thought process when I’m contemplating a $15 fast food meal if I happen to still be hungry after my packed lunch cooler. I’d rather be just a little bit hungry as long as my wife and kids can have full meals and snacks. I feel absolutely selfish and disgusting anytime I actually go through with it.
Plus one of the big things he mentioned as food ready to cook is hot pockets. If you’re struggling with food and still going for hot pockets instead of getting something that can go towards multiple meals, you’re doing it wrong. I get hot pockets as a treat so I can have something fast as a snack.
My husband works 12 hour shifts most days & I always have a plate for when he walks in. He doesn’t eat at work either, he comes home starving! The only time I don’t have food ready is on most nice days in the spring and summer when I take the kids and the dog out after school. Meal prepping can also save you on those days when you just don’t want to cook. But you have to plan. Sit down like adults and come up with at least 5 meals that are quick, easy & budget friendly and then stock the pantry. PB&J? It counts. A bowl of cereal? It counts. Frozen pizza? It counts. Dude was turning up his nose at his workplaces acai bowls. They might actually be pretty good. 🤷🏻♀️

Both are at fault, but out of all the comments I'm seeing, a stark minority are even factoring the wife into the equation. It's just blame the man as usual.
🤦🏻♀️ my husband works 12 hour shifts there have been times he worked 16+ a day. He has worked hard labor jobs and factory jobs (some the job left him covered in bruise and sewage). If you know those environments then you know the toll it can take on yourself or someone you love. He works late night shifts now. We cook breakfast/lunch/or dinner together, I pack his lunch & we eat leftovers mostly. We only go out to grab food once on the weekend if we can afford it after budgeting. We may not have kids but we got vet bills and 2 special needs cats. No excuse! Late night shift or long hours the problem? Then pack something, pack snacks or replenisher drinks. My god it’s not that hard. If you’re that starved go hid in the bathroom while you eat a protein bar. So whiny and pampered I swear.
He looks down on her and her work. He had an idea of what a traditional wife would look like and be. When the reality hit and he realized he had to meet and like the standard set to get to that traditional wife goal he got resentful. This is a situation where he should have never gotten married or pretended he was something he was not. He knew he did not qualify for this life but thought too highly of himself to just walk away. He should not have been able to have kids with the way he is.
"i dont get a break and I'm so hungry." That's on him lmao. At work there are required breaks, a stay at home mom's job is literally 24/7 and there is a 99.99% you will NOT get a break as a mom. And her job (yes a sahm is a JOB) is unpaid. I have just one kid and he's such an easy toddler so it's not as hard but she's got 2 toddlers in different phases of toddlerhood. I can't imagine how hard it is for her. My husband works from home so we're lucky enough where we don't eat out a ton because we're at home a lot. I cook simple meals and he's content with that because sometimes he gets like maybe 15 minutes to cook and eat. So i take that burden off of him. At the end of every day he cooks dinner in return for me cooking lunches and breakfasts. We do have our days where we're both tired and do eat out which is maybe once a week. Twice a week but rarely.

I can’t imagine getting takeout only for myself on the way home. If we both get off work late and are too tired to cook, one of us will always get food for both of us. Even if I’m eating out with a friend I’ll always order something extra to take back home for him. When you’re in a relationship you’re supposed to care about the other person as much as how care for yourself, when you have a child you’re supposed to care about them more than you care about yourself.

From a retired geezer who often worked an active job 14 hours straight with a 5 minute lunch at my desk, I am SO happy to hear a young person calling out another for his whining about having to work at a fast food place for only 8 hours (as compared to many jobs where people do heavy lifting/standing/walking for 10-12 & more) WITH the offer of a free meal, and for the fiscal irresponsibility of both parents in this scene. I know of several cases in which people who were bedridden and left alone, then had to survive by getting food delivered, which sent them into debt. The other option was basically starvation.
