Ahsoka had some pretty fine fights, I do really enjoy the first fight between Baylan and Ahsoka. Even though its slower than prequal fights its better than all sequal fights, in my opinion.
I feel like everyone is blinded by nostalgia when it comes to the prequels. The fights were faster because they used that same moves over and over again. These moves are fresh every time so it’s gonna be a bit slower.
Ahsoka vs Anakin (I count both duels as one), I loved seeing the old prequel level choreography again after so many years of no choreography duels that look like garbage, (Rise of Skywalker, Force Awakens). Hope they make another season.
They already confirmed that 2nd season is in the works :)
Am I crazy or is Anakin (as Darth Vader during fight #7) actually fighting the same way he did when he was Vader??? With mostly more direct and heavy strikes rather than mobile and swift strikes (as we seen him do in clone wars and pretty much any time he fought before being put into the suit after his fight on Mustafar).

It's actually pronounce his name Darth Vader now his lightsaber is Red.
I also love how Anakin returned. But... So weird or sad I never get to see Ezra dueling Shin with his new Blue lightsaber🙁

live or die doesn't represent ligth or darkside... He was teaching her that she has to get into the fight, not half into it... half into it will get her killed...

re-watching everything to catch up to all the new Star Wars stuff, regardless of the bad criticisms I keep hearing, looks great so far, skipped through it so not to spoil myself too much, that last fight with that ritual blade was interesting, something out of SWTOR that I saw where they were trying to figure out weapons imbueded in the dark side of the force, interesting that they're repelling lightsabers, makes less sense when I think about it, but interesting to learn about.
The blade was used also by Talzin in Clone Wars series.
@@MosEisleyCantinasl but my issue is doesn’t seem to make sense for it to repell a lightsaber… lightsabers are putting out a ton of energy… where a ritual sword is more metal with magic, it’s hard to imagine or make sense of it, they’re both related to the force, especially a kyber crystal, but, a ritual sword is that hot???
It’s Star Wars. Physics seems to not work there.

It was very short and chaotic so I decided to not include this one.
11:06 I disagree. I think these words have nothing to do with Force at all, as that would be pretty bland. It always seemed to me that they are primarily about what is needed, no matter what experiences you are burdened with, you must continue to move forward, fight. You either put your nose down and die in this harsh world, or you fight for your life to the end. I think it's a lesson that Ahsoka needs to let go of that past and those thoughts that are dragging her to the bottom.

Samurai movies did not inspire starwars
They surely did. Characters sometimes even move their lightsabers like it was katana.
This is just dead wrong, buddy. Lucas straight up said that several of Kurosawa’s films, especially The Hidden Fortress, were massive inspirations for lightsaber combat and dueling in general for Star Wars.

Kurosawa was a huge inspiration, among other influences like Dune, Flash Gordon, WWII, the Vietnam War, etc etc

I agree, It requires no skill whatsoever unlike someone we know and love from The Phantom Menace, who also wields a double bladed lightsaber.
That’s the point of it. It’s a cheat code for weak force users.
Not that it justifies the silliness, but the spinning lightsaber idea appeared first in animation
